    Sorry to heat that, at least you got something, lol. Regarding I-751, I called them few days ago, they said not the processing time is 30 months while the file transferred to local office.

    Just had my combo interview. Only had the interview notice for N-400 (submitted Feb 2019) but went into the interview expecting both. Luckily it was a combo. This was the Fort Smith AR office.

    I had my partner with me and the officer went through the details of the pending I-751 (pending since Feb 2018) first. She asked basic questions and asked us to verify identities. Got done this in less than 10 mins.

    Then age asked my partner to step out and started with the N-400 interview. She dived right into the civics test. I was asked the following:
    1. Name a native American tribe.
    2. Who lived in the US before Europeans arrived.
    3. How many US senators are there?
    4. When do we vote for President?
    5. If President or VP can't be President, who becomes President?
    6. Who was President during World War 2?

    After that the English test went smoothly. And then after the run down checklist of questions, she said she is recommending me for approval.

    In my case, I have requested for a name change and at the interview asked how long it would take for a judicial ceremony. She said it should be done by October. Hopefully that is the case.

    I hope everyone else on here has a smooth interview. Good luck!

    In my case, it was good that I submitted everything, because the I751 still wasn’t approved and it wasn’t in front of the officer at N400 interview. So the officer had all information about me, without I751, and my N400 was clean completely without any struggle. The officer liked that I submitted everything.
    I like to be over prepared. Just my experience.

    My point is that the actual list of Required evidence for the N400 submission is relatively short, and with someone that also has an I751 in process, it seems like overkill.  In our case, we only submitted the required evidence (Katya filed by paper) and took a copy of the I751 submission with us to the interview along with updated tax transcripts and had no issues.

    From the N400 Instructions:

    Required Evidence
    Below is a list of documents to submit with your Form N-400.
    1. Photographs. Only applicants who reside overseas must provide two identical color photographs of yourself taken
    recently. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and
    be unmounted and unretouched. Passport-style photos must be 2” x 2”. The photos must be in color with full face,
    frontal view on a white to off-white background. Head height should measure 1” to 1 3/8” from top of hair to bottom
    of chin, and eye height is between 1 1/8” to 1 3/8” from bottom of photo. Your head must be bare, unless contrary to
    your religious beliefs. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the
    photo.
    2. Photocopy of Permanent Resident Card. Provide a photocopy of the front and back of your Form I-551 (Permanent
    Resident Card). USCIS must be able to read the information on the photocopy. If you have lost your Form I-551,
    attach a photocopy of any other entry document or a photocopy of a receipt showing that you have filed Form I-90,
    Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.
    3. Photocopy of your Current Legal Marital Status Document. Provide a photocopy of your current marriage
    certificate, divorce, annulment decree, or death certificate of former spouse.
    4. Documents for Military Personnel or Spouses of Military Personnel:
    A. Form N-426 (Request for Certification of Military or Naval Service). If you are a current member of the U.S.
    Armed Forces, provide a completed and certified Form N-426. If you are separated from the military, provide an
    uncertified Form N-426.
    B. Evidence of Military Service. If you ever served in the U.S. Armed Forces, provide a Certificate of Release or
    Discharge from Active Duty, DD Form 214, for all periods of service. If you are currently serving in an active
    duty status within the United States or abroad, you should submit a photocopy of your official military orders.
    C. Spouses of Military Personnel have additional requirements. Refer to Naturalization Information for Military
    Personnel (M-599) for eligibility requirements. You can obtain this information on the USCIS website at
    www.uscis.gov/military.

    Below is a list of documents to bring with you to your Form N-400 interview.
    1. Permanent Resident Card.
    2. State-Issued Identification. Bring a valid State-issued identification, such as a driver’s license.
    3. Passports and Travel Documents. Bring valid and expired passports, as well as any travel documents issued by
    USCIS.
    4. Evidence of Your Current Legal Marital Status. Bring the original of all marriage certificates, divorce or
    annulment decrees, death certificates, and other official records to confirm your marital history and your current legal
    marital status.
    5. Evidence of the Termination of Your Spouse’s Prior Marriage(s). Bring the original of your current spouse’s
    divorce certificate. If your spouse is widowed, bring the original of his or her former spouse’s death certificate. If
    neither of these are available, bring any other evidence that indicates the termination of your spouse’s marriage for
    consideration.
    6. Name Change(s). If you have changed your name at any time, bring the document(s) that legally changed your
    name(s), such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, name change petition, or other official record if you ever
    changed your name.
    7. Other Documents. Depending on the circumstances, you should bring certain documents to your interview. You
    may also submit copies of these documents with your application. For example:
    A. Spouse of a U.S. Citizen. Bring the following items to your interview if you are applying for naturalization on
    the basis of your marriage to a U.S. citizen:
    (1) Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for at least 3 years at the time you file your Form N-400.
    Such evidence may include: a birth certificate (if your spouse never lost U.S. citizenship since birth),
    Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Citizenship, or Form FS-240 Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen
    of the United States of America;
    (2) Evidence of the termination of all your prior marriages; and
    (3) Evidence that you and your spouse have lived in marital union for at least 3 years at the time you file your
    Form N-400. Such evidence may include:
    (a) Joint bank and credit card statements;
    (b) Leases or mortgages;
    (c) Birth certificates of children;
    (d) Insurance policies; and
    (e) Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you and your spouse filed for
    the past 3 years (or an IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years).
    B. Spouse of a U.S. Citizen Who is Regularly Stationed Abroad. Bring evidence demonstrating your U.S. citizen
    spouse’s qualifying employment abroad if you are filing under section 319(b). Such evidence may include:
    (1) The employer’ name and nature of the employer’s business;
    (2) The nature of the work the U.S. citizen spouse is performing;
    (3) Documentation to establish the employing entity is owned in whole or in part by U.S. interests; and
    (4) Documentation to establish the employing entity is engaged in whole or in part in the development of the
    foreign trade and U.S. commerce.
    In addition, bring the following:
    (1) Your U.S. citizen spouse’s travel orders which include your name as a spouse;
    (2) Documentation to establish your spouse’s employment abroad is scheduled to last for at least 1 year from the
    date you filed Form N-400; and
    (3) A written statement of your intent to reside abroad with your spouse, and to live in the United States
    immediately after your spouse’s employment abroad ends.
    .
    .
    .
    etc, I am not copying the entire list.

    I remember while filing online, some of them are required. You just can’t fill the form and click submit. I attached as much as I could, so I avoid RFE or any misunderstanding.
    The interview officer told me anyway that I submitted too much documentation and it looks perfect

    You are welcome!
    As you are filling the application online, step by step (after each answer, you have to click “next”), and it asks you for the proofs. That’s how you attach any needed document. In the end you can add whatever you thing it is necessary as “additional” documents.

    I had my combo interview on July 11th at the Washington DC field office. First of, I thought my interview was at 9:30, and I was late and arrived at 9:40.. Once I got there, I found out that my interview was actually at 9:20 and I missed the call.  I was told to wait some more, and they would try to fit me in. When it was finally my turn again (at around 11am), the officer said they had to do I-751 and N-400 separately, and I wouldn't know if I could have my N400 interview until I was approved for i-751 by the first interviewer...  Well this was different than what I read here from others' combo interview experiences.  Anyways, it's fine.. So we started and she asked the standard questions from the i-751 application form.  I didn't bring any supporting materials as the N-400 interview notification didn't ask for anything other than my husband and my passports/IDs.  But since I just got back from a trip the day before the interview, I was a bit of a mess that day.. I brought my old expired passport, instead of the new one (so she asked for my driver's license instead).  I also told her the wrong year for the date of our marriage (I said 2016, while it should be 2015... 2016 is the year that GC was issued). It also turned out that in the application form, I mistakenly signed in the place where the petitioner (my husband) should have signed... The interviewer had a serious face, didn't smile much, but she didn't make a fuss about it and just told my husband to sign at the right place on the application form, which was very nice of her.  The interviewer also asked us if we brought any new evidence. In response, I told her that we purchased a new house together, but we hadn't received the deed in the mail yet, so all we had was some mortgage document... We also had joint tax returns from the last year -- I told her that they should be within the N-400 application; For the newest 2018 joint tax returns, it was in my dropbox and I didn't have it printed out... She said she would check the N-400 application for the tax return, and that's it.  At the end of the interview, we were told to wait in the waiting room for the decision to be made. my husband asked me why I said we married in 2016, instead of 2015.  Only then I realized that I gave the wrong answer and started panicking... After 10 min or so, the officer came back out and told us that I was approved.  I told her that I accidentally told her the wrong year of our marriage, and she laughed and said it was ok. Afterwards we went back to wait for another 10 min,  a different officer called my name, who was a super cheerful lady. She told my husband to go grab lunch while I had my N400 interview.  That interview was pleasant and I was approved on the spot within 10 min. And that completes my journey here! Sorry about the long story -- I had a potato brain that day and it still went through smoothly! I thought I should share. Thanks and good luck!

    Oath was 2 PM.  We all waited inside close to the receptionist area.  1:55 PM, they called all candidates to get into the naturalization hall and they checked the letter and gave a number and then ask to sit.  There were 68 people.  Around 2:30 PM , all guests were in.  Then standard  10-15 talk about citizenship and process and they called each of them to check the Naturalization certificate for correctness and took GC and the letter we received in mail.

    Then oath, national anthem  and certification given and one minutes video of President.  All done by 3:30 PM.  Very friendly atmosphere.

    I filled the passport application online and printed it and a copy of both side of the driver licence and one 2 x 2 inches Photo and went to 3000 Chestnut Street US post office and submitted the passport application.

    I think, you need to make an infopass appointment and if possible meets the IO officer in the local office who took your interview to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.  Meanwhile, send a registered letter to Interviewer at your local office with all the emails you received from USCIS to prove that you acted on it after receiving the email for USCIS

    I did similar, so in the end I submitted only new tax 2018 papers and new apartment lease. The officer asked for anything new, maybe newer photos. My last photos were submitted online with N400 in January 2019, photos from Dec 2018.
    He said I submitted a lot of evidence anyway.

    as I said, I put everything in slimmer backpack, and no problem taking it with me inside.
