  1. You can definitely do it on your own..and this community (VJ) can really help.

Regarding screenshots of conversations to submit with your I-129f...well I didn't submit any screenshots of conversations and we just got our application approved, so that's not a big deal. I included lots of pictures of my visits to him, and entry cards from Israel (it's equivalent to passport stamps).

At first only one website was updated. Then the next day, I received an email and the other website was updated as well. Dont worry about which website is updated. As long as you got an email, text, mail, or one website confirmation then you're good. Relax

Thanks for the response, and for sharing your experience! I definitely feel a lot more relaxed now after getting that notification this afternoon 😂

I was just curious. I think I read somewhere that some of the peeps at USCIS update one site and not the other...or that sometimes neither is updated. But it's good to know that your case was eventually updated on both :)

  3. Hi! Not sure which embassy you're going through, so it might not be the same for all, also not sure where in the process you are (about to send in your I-129f, going for the interview). However, my limited understanding is that if you are the beneficiary and are going to the interview with documents such as "bus tickets and things of that nature" then those documents don't need to be translated. For example, my fiancé lives in Israel, so when he goes for his interview he can take any document in English, Hebrew, or Arabic, no transition needed. Since he is from Latin America he will have to have his birth certificate, and other official documents from his country translated from Spanish to English.

    I hope that's helpful.

By the way, if you fill out your profile, and time line it really helps people give you more accurate information. Those on this forum, I'm really new so I wouldn't include my self in this statement, are very knowledgeable and are always looking to help others and the more info you provide the more accurate the advice and information.

    Good luck!

Agreed.  I also suspect that they potentially increase the time it takes to approve a petition, as well as the risk of RFE.

Do you think that by sending screenshots of messages that the petition will take longer to be approved (getting an NOA2)? Just wondering if this is based on experience since I've never heard of it before.

We are about to submit our petition and was planning on including some screenshots.

    Thanks for your input!

With pictures of you both together, that alone shows that you have met. I wouldn't be too concerned with the whole "it only shows intent of travel". US Immigration is very much aware of how the Israeli port of entry/exists work, and Israel is a low fraud country with strong ties to the US.

Thanks your encouragement! My fiancé lives in Israel but is not from there, he's actually Colombian. Hopefully it will be a smooth process.

But lets try to stay on topic here.-

@Yaqui what was the purpose of your trip? Was it to meet your fiance? If so its very strange to not have any photographs of you guys together. You seriously do not have any photos together from any of the trips? Do you have photos of each of you (single person) at the same location? Meaning you took their picture in front of whatever landmark and another picture of you in front of said landmark? Is there a religious or cultural reason for not having pictures together?

Anything with their name on it like hotel or uber type stuff? Im very worried you are not going to have enough to prove you guys actually met. Its one thing to prove you were in their country but that does not automatically equal you meeting them with out additional evidence. Do they have bank statements for expenses that line up with your bank statements? Showing you guys were in the same places at the same time? Usually people have a photograph of them together but since you dont you have to be creative- but again simply showing you were in Israel isnt the same as showing you guys met.

How did you meet initially? Do you have chats where you discussed setting up a trip to go see them? Chats afterwards? texts when you landed or agreed on a place to actually meet? receipts from those places etc// Did you meet them while there? If you could provide some more details we may be able to help you come up with things to satisfy USCIS.

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to respond! In my initial post I mentioned that I do have pictures of us together.

    From initial post:

I also didn't keep any of my boarding passes, and only have email copies of my receipts from when I purchased the tickets. Is this enough? I also have pictures of us together. Do you think I will get an RFE?

I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding. My fiancé and I met while on Pilgrimage in Israel. He is a full time volunteer there, but originally from Latin America, as am I. My second and third trip were 100% for the purpose of seeing him. We spent a lot of time together getting to know each other. So yes, we have pictures from our travels in Israel mainly to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa.

My fiancé filed the I-129f last May while I was still living in Ireland and I only came back here in the Philippines August. We just wrote my address here as my mailing address when we filed and US Embassy Manila as the embassy of choice. We already got our NOA2 and MNL case number. Best of luck on your journey🍀

Thank you! That's super helpful :)

You have to think outside the box sometimes, did yopu stay at a hotel? Can you get a reservation confirmation letter? Maybe for the plane tickets can you get an online boarding pass? Did you do web check in?

Thank you! I have a hotel confirmation email. I also just figured out, thanks to your questions, that airlines can provide a document stating that you traveled with them! So I've just requested that for my last two trips!

I believe you can file a FOiA request with CBP that shows your entry and exits from the US.  I don’t believe US citizens get an I94 record, but I think the airlines report information to CBP as to international departures, and of course you went through CBP upon return.  I have no idea how long it takes for them to respond to a request.

    Good Luck!

Thanks! I looked at that option too, hopefully the entry card I have will be enough. I have the same question and concern regarding processing time for such a request.

You only need to prove one meeting within the last two years.

A bank statement might be helpful in conjunction with the itinerary to help bridge the gap if the dates line up and the information on the statement is obvious enough to show without a doubt it was Israel

Thank you! I will just include everything. Itineraries, bank statement, hotel reservation, and the visa they gave me upon entry into Israel. I hope it works! :)
