PK_ got a reaction from Coin3 in U.S. Embassy in Bangkok Reopening on October 1
For IR-1/CR-1 interviews, I have been tracking the interviews that have been reported on one of the facebook groups. They are making quite a bit of progress. There's one person with DQ on 9/1/2020 that got an interview on 2/27/2021. The wait time from DQ to interview date has been dropping. If the the trend continues, your DQ on 10/6 is projected to have an interview on 3/5/2021 (150 days of wait time). Our DQ is on 10/7, so there's light at the end of the tunnel!

This is the Thai facebook group that Pattama has been using as a resource throughout this process:

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/visausa.thai/

She's not using it specifically to coordinate travel; she's just trying to coordinate her travel with someone she knows from the group.
I wish now that I had chosen the 7th for our interview date since we did end up getting the medical exam paperwork back in time (only took a a few days). But I suppose the 13th will be here soon enough - and it's very encouraging to hear that the embassy really is holding interviews and approving visas once again.

The IOE cases are still assigned to a service center; however, they no longer send notices for transfers. You are getting the approval from Texas Service Center because there was a workload transfer of cases away from Nebraska at the beginning of this year. (https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers)
I suspect that the December date update on your case was actually due to the transfer. I have a similar update on my case on Feb 23 which was actually a transfer from California to Nebraska as well.

For IOE, it appears that they don't send out transfer notices anymore. My F2A IOE I-130 got transferred from California to Nebraska without any notices.

W-2 is required for Married Filing Jointly tax returns since they can't see the individual income on the transcript.

    1. You can update everything at the interview.
    2. You don't have to report trips that are less than 24 hours. If you are missing/have more trips to report, just let the officer know. It's not a big deal.

Approved. Interview was at 10:10 and got in 10:45. Left interview at 11:20. Asked officer I wanna same day ceremony, he said it's up to the scheduler. So Waited outside and then was called for same day ceremony. I think you need to let them know that. Make them a aware of your request. . Anyway, Got ceremony same day. Yay! Officer asked about copies of all documents mentioned here on the forum section. So check them all and take them with you. Ceremony started at 1:30 and finished at 2:30. It was smooth and kinda short day. Next day applied for passport at passport agency and showed I have travel plans the same day. I made an appointment one week in advance at 8 am. There was no line when I arrived. So they picked up my app. And asked me to come back same day at 2 pm. I picked it up. End of story. I wish all the best to my awaiting fellow citizens.

Yup, it's totally okay to do what you have been planning. In fact, my wife and I did the same thing.

It's not a visa fraud if she doesn't intent to overstay or knowingly enter the US with a travel visa/ESTA in order to adjust status to permanent residence from within the US.

Here's my interview experience at the USCIS Seattle Field Office.

I arrived 20 minutes before the 10 AM appointment. The parking is $8, and they now accept credit cards. After checking in, I got a number and went to wait on the 2nd floor. I was called at 11:30 AM which was super late.

The officer asked to see my passport, green card, driver license, and my trusted traveler card (Nexus). It's obvious that the officer has already gone through my A-file to know that I'm enrolled on one of the trusted traveler programs. After that, I was sworn in and answered 6 civic tests, reading test, and writing test. Then, he went through the entire application. I have a pretty extensive travel history with 10+ more entries to add, and I gave him the entire list. He manually entered a few before saying that he will enter the rest of it later. The interview finished at around noon, but I didn't make the 12-noon cutoff for the same-day oath due to the fact that he still needed to enter the rest of my travel history and reviewed it before approving it. I got a paper with "a decision cannot be made yet about your application."

The next day, my USCIS online account showed an approval status with the oath ceremony notice being mailed. I'm still waiting to see when is the oath ceremony.

Imagine having some random people creating barcodes with some random numbers and names. To me, generating barcode is just a way to help filing the forms. Without submitting the form and the processing fee, they won't start looking at anything related to your file.

I have a 10am interview on Feb 10, and I have to travel internationally 5 days later. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm hoping for the same day oath so that I can apply for the passport the day after.

You will get the Certificate of Naturalization at the oath ceremony, and you can apply for the US passport on the next day. You can get the passport as quickly as on the same day if you have a proof of urgent travel. Follow the chart at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/where-to-apply.html to see where and which category you will need to apply.

On the DS-3035, was your physical address different than your mailing address?

You should be getting your initial USCIS receipt by now. The alternative way to get your receipt number is through:
Call USCIS - 1-800-375-5283 Go to lost receipt number (Press 1-1-2-2) Mention that you filed I-612 form with the Vermont Service Center They will ask for your name, date of birth, address, etc. Make sure you give them the physical address that you have listed on the DS-3035 (not the mailing address)

    Hi PY6,
    I understand you frustration.

I had a planned trip to Vancouver Canada dated December 13, then my interview was scheduled on December 11. It was nerve wracking of thinking about the unknown but I chose just to wait and see what happens after the interview. Being upset or angry to USCIS won’t change a thing, they care less about how we feel, the more they don’t even know how we feel about delays. It is just waste of energy. Just relax. It is what it is. Anyway while I’m waiting for my interview that time, I read some options on what to expect or what to do after the interview. Anyway I passed my 9:45 am interview and had an Oath Taking the same day. The next day on the 12th I went to the Regional passport agency in Seattle to apply for my passport which also I planned ahead I made an appoint a week before my interview. Since I’m traveling on 13th, I brought my hotel reservation which was booked long time before I even I knew about my interview.  The passport agency accept my application so as my hotel reservation copy and I got my passport the same day, I waited until 2:30pm.

It took a lot of researching, planning and anticipation of the “what if” scenarios. But I didn’t stress about it.

Anyway I just feel sorry for each individuals frustration.

Cheer up! Just enjoy the rest of the holiday.❤️

I had my interview this morning, my appointment was 9:45 am and I was called at 10am.  The interview was very short and very easy, probably 10 minutes and 35 minutes of chitchat 🤣.

I will have my Oath Taking later at 1:30pm.

    Good luck to you all!!!
