I don't know it gets harder the closer you get!

The wait doesn't stop when you get to the Nao2 stage as there seems to be a huge range of wait times before you hear from the NVC. Our NAO2 date is February 8 and we still have not received any notification. We just have to be patient live one day at a time and have faith that eventually we will be reunited with our loved ones.

I guess maybe I should have titled this "K1 Shortcuts for calling the NVC and DOS" so people would realize this is a K1 only post. Hopefully it won't get moved anyway.

We are off to make sure all of our immunizations are up to date and get a record from our dr on Wednesday. Police check is next to arrange. Why is this process so EXPENSIVE!! All worth it in the end though!
Will need accommodation in Sydney for medical and interview more money!!

Thank you everyone. The funny part of this is I am one of those who check for updates every hour and there have been none! So for eight days I was worrying for nothing!! 
Does anybody know how long the Australian Consulate is taking once the NVC has sent the packet to them?

You have nothing for MMR. No dates at all, not even a first MMR. A Civil Surgeon will have to sign you off.  Some won't do that unless they give a full medical. Call around and ask. And as a FYI, if you only have one MMR proof from your GP and four weeks have passed since you had it then you will be due a second one. 
 
You can delay the I-693 closer to your interview as stated on the USCIS website:
 
NOTE:  To ensure the results of the medical examination are still valid at the time USCIS adjudicates the associated benefit application, applicants should schedule the medical examination as close as possible to the time they file for adjustment of status, respond to a Request for Evidence, or attend an interview (if applicable).

I am happy for them but I am surprised. I am Australian and I thought it would be easier for us??

I thought they did it by date order? Our was received on the 5th!
