my husband entered the u.s. on dec 20th with marriage visa and i want to know if he can start working with his temporary card or do we have to wait for his social sec card and green card?

@DamelaI haven't received any weird emails from NVC, but I think today we're going to have to forget about it. It's Corpus Christi in D.R., the embassy is closed. I really do not understand what's going on with these ILs.

Finally spoke with someone else. I even left work early to do it! All they said was something like im in line for an interview and they don't have a time frame. I asked them different questions and they kept responding with the same thing. I really dont know what to think this is super weird.

No, i did not. My case was complete May 31st. I hope this is a good sign but Im going to call today. I hope i get through.

just got an email from nvc saying that they sent me a notice of my visa interview and it has been cancelled, anyone else???

I'll be leaving end of next week to be with my husband for a week to celebrate our anniversary.

Hoping to receive the IL soon so I can go with him for his medical exam and fingerprinting or better yet, the interview. Good luck!

This past two weeks of not receiving IL have been rough on me. I've been doing extra hours at work trying to forget about it, and then I come home and have 2 pounds of chocolate every night. lol I need this to be over.

I have so many things I want to plan, but I can't do any of it until my husband is here.

 

I wonder if people applying for tourist visas in DR this summer has been affecting available interviews??

I feel the same way this process is so stressful. I HOPE we don't go through next week without knowing anything.
