  1. Welp I wish I had good news to share but my husband did not pass his medical exam (supposedly spots showed up on his lung xray but I have yet to see it).  He is stuck in Mexico for the next 8 weeks while we wait for his lab results.  Good news is if his results come back negative then he should get another interview 2-3 weeks after.  It was a complete surprise to us as he is an avid marathoner, but I guess you never know. Thank the stars for after school care or I'd be screwed.  It could always be worse; positive thinking from here on out.

My husband does get to see his parents and sister in person tomorrow for the first time in decades, very grateful for this :)

  2. I FINALLY got an update on our visa status page - no appointment notice yet, but my understanding is that this means you were given an interview date... going to call the Juarez consulate on Wednesday if we don't hear anything by then.

PS apparently reading an update that hasn't changed since 2019 will give you a mini heart attack !!

Fingers and toes crossed my husband gets to spend Christmas with family he hasn't see in 23 years

    Ima call 2mrw!!😂

Our case has been "ready" since 9/12 :) We called the Juarez consulate last week and confirmed all of our contact info was correct, and they said we just have to keep waiting for the appointment email. I've seen those with cases "ready" early-mid August have been getting appointments for October so I figure we will get a November or December interview, hopefully before Christmas!

Hi there my case changed to “in transit” this morning!!! I tried calling the NVC but it hangs up due to high calling volume. How long do you think it will take for an interview date?

Did you get the expedite email this morning? Some people got an expedite email on August 12th that are still waiting for an appointment so I figure we will probably get a date by end of October

Wow that’s great congrats!!! Im  Definitely giving them a call tomorrow. How long were you on hold when you called?

Thanks!! Was on hold for about 1.5 hours (usual) put it on speaker and hunkered down with a good book. Agent I spoke to was absolutely lovely. She spoke to her supervisor to make sure I didn’t have to submit any updated docs (we are a mail in case, not electronic)

CC Sept 2019. Friday finally it changed to Action required submit requested documents I called NVC as well to check everything looks good. Today status shows IN TRANSIT🥲😇🤗🤗. I hope the best for everyone!!!!!

Cc August 2019 same! Changed to IN TRANSIT today. Next is READY and then an appointment date. I talked to NVC today and the agent said to expect an email within the month, so we are thinking a late October date 💕💕

NVC is adding your attorney to your service list (form DS-261), nothing to do with your appointment. Was this status previously “Case at NVC”? Hopefully you get an appointment soon - they are moving along June-August 2019cc IR1 both in US I’ve seen

Hi, I was wondering if your status changed from “action not required” to “action required” ? My status changed but it only says “action not required: review in process”. I’m DQ September 2019. I was wondering if I still have a long way to go. I saw the notice on Friday and was not able to call. And now with the long weekend I have to wait for Tuesday.

Hi! It’s been “action required: submit requested documents” since 4 days ago. Before that it was “case at NVC” for almost 2 years - We’ve already submitted all documents though  DB39D241-8B12-46CF-A603-4CF93A926E5F.thumb.jpeg.22b60610bb38fcecaceecebb4111ac69.jpeg

  9. Ok, trying not to get too excited but my husband's visa status page finally changed after 2 years to "Action Required: Submit Documents" - we've confirmed with NVC that we are all set just waiting for an interview date - I'm assuming they are reviewing our documents to send to the consulate for a date!! Many friends on facebook with the same change, mostly June-August 2019 cc !! 2019 IR1 Dates are finally moving along for Mexico!!

I can't believe I finally got my interview letter!!!

    Interview date: June 30th, 2021

@dwheels76 Juarez is now assigning interview dates for the same month, in May some people were only given 1 or 2 weeks before their interview which is crazy.... anyway the June thread is closed but I'm still a June interviewee I guess 😁

Congrats!!! When did you close your NVC case?  We closed on 8/20/19 and we are seeing 2020 closed dates getting interviews?? I am so confused. My husband called for status yesterday and the agent said they aren't going by closed dates anymore but rather lottery and I am livid.

  11. I'd like to arrange for my mother in law and sister in law, Mexico citizens, to visit me (US Citizen) in the US on B2 visitor visas.  My understanding is that there are only "emergency" appointments for visas at their local US Consulate (Mexico City).  Anyone know when US Consulates in Mexico will hold regular B2 visa interviews?  Why can't these interviews be conducted via Zoom? I just don't see why these interviews need to be in person.

I have been away from these threads for the last few months because I've got a long way to go but, yesterday new appointments were assigned for Mexico Juarez consulate in my category IR1, these are all DQ'd June 2019.. yay..

YES!!  I've seen soooo many new Juarez Mexico interview dates for cases that were closed in June and July of 2019.... We are August 20, 2019!! Light at the end of the tunnel finally. Our case is still at NVC as of this morning.. I check everyday now lol We are really hoping my husband gets a date before the kids' start school again in case he is denied and we relocate.  My husband hasn't seen his parents, sister, extended family in 22 years and hasn't even met his nephews! This is all so exciting I'm practically bursting thinking about it all

  13. Hello! My husband has his visa interview in Juarez, Mexico (hopefully) in July/August of this year... we want to get a 2 year Re-entry permit for him as we would like start spending the majority of the year in Mexico and summers in the US - I see USCIS processing times for I-131 are currently 11 months!  I know he has to apply for the re-entry permit in the US -

Can we wait for the actual permit in Mexico? As in we can leave as soon as his biometrics are done?  He had biometrics done for his visa process - wouldn't they just use that?

Can we send in his I-131 application with a copy of his passport visa stamp or does it require his actual green card?

Just trying to get some sort of a timeline and it is driving me crazy...
