We got our NOA2 in less than 3 months of submitting the I129f, on it there are valid through dates, does this mean he has to have his interview by then?

Does anyone know how much the physical costs in Norway?

Also the interview is in Stockholm not Oslo now?? On the I129f I put Olso, will that cause problem?

    So many questions! Lol :)

Wow 3 months is really fast, congratulations! :D

According to this page the medical is 2600 NOK, not sure if it's still accurate.

Congratulations! Here is some information that I have that will help you start planning your next steps. If you receive a P3 from your consulate and it is a more recent, they usually date them on the bottom portion, could you share a copy with me. I like to stay updated with the most current copy to share with others who come behind you.

First link Embassy instructions and second is medical instructions.

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it. I will share the P3 with you if it is more recent, absolutely.

We called yesterday morning. Got a bit rude tier2 officer but she told us our case has been opened, no Rfe's, and when my fiance asked about background check she told him that a continuous process (?) and it's being done... We didn't get much more then we got last week but at least we know they are working on it

This might be a really stupid question, but what number do you call if you want to ask someone about your case? I called the 1-800-375-5283 number and was only able to hear an automated response saying my case has been received.

Hi guys! I've been reading a lot here on VJ, but not writing much yet. But here I come! We just got our NOA2, the case is at NVC and got the STK number, so the Medical is next week already!

About the divorce papers: I had to contact Tingsrätten that issued the divorce and ask them for a copy of the divorce decree. However, the first one they've sent was literally just a print/copy so make sure to ask them for a signature and a stamp to avoid later questions. Then I had to translate it at a certified translator.  We got NOA1 on October 2, NOA2 on January 26th. No EFRs :) Good luck!

Congratulations on the NO2!! And good luck with the interview. :)

I stupidly thought Skatteverket was the place to contact. At least now I've learnt my lesson and hopefully it won't cause too much of an issue. Thanks for mentioning the stamp and signature!

    Hej!

I'm assuming that you are asking about the divorce papers for your previous marriage? In that case I was in that situation (although I was applying for an I130 for my new wife, so maybe a bit different?). I found out that the "personbevis" is *not* enough. I don't remember exactly what it is called, but you need a copy of the actual court decision of your divorce (go / call the court in the "län" were you filed for divorce). It is easy to get, but you also need to get it translated into english. I did mine myself, which was accepted when filing but when my wife went to the embassy for the interview they said they needed a certified translation, so had to run out and get that...

    Good luck!

    /S

Oh man, guessing I'll get an RFE for that. 😕 I'll get working on the certificate now then. Should have gone with my gut and not trusted the woman on the phone.

    Thank you for the help!

  7. My fiancé sent in our petition in October but forgot to sign it so they returned it for him to sign. All the papers had some kind of serial number printed at the bottom and a paper stating to leave everything as it is, just sign it and re-send it, but also to include that paper at the very front of it. (Hope I'm making myself clear here) Does anyone know the reason for this? What was the purpose of the paper he had to put at the front?

  8. Hi,

I'm a little bit overwhelmed trying to figure out this i-134 form and thought you guys might be able to help.

My fiancé, the sponsor, is currently unemployed (he's a university student) but has a trust fund. Would that mean that under Part 3 'Employment Information' he doesn't check any of the boxes and under 'Income and Asset Information' he'd fill out how much his trust fund is worth under "Balance of all my savings and checking accounts in United States-based financial institutions"?

Also, I'm guessing he would need to include a bank statement showing the worth?

Hoping I made my questions clear.

I’m really sorry to hear that. Atleast they sent the packet right away. Yes, you can call USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 to follow-up. Stay positive and Goodluck.🙏🏻

Thank you! I was frustrated my fiancé missed such an important part, but that won't get us anywhere so I'm trying to stay positive. At least we didn't have to wait months for them to send it back, that's always something. :)
