    NO. The beneficiary needs to supply a PC for the interview. The petitioner needs to provide financials as outlined below. The petitioner has already been screened during the NOA1-NOA2 from several data bases especial from Homeland Security and the FBI.

    EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

    Awesome, Thank you @Greenbaum for clarifying.

    I did what you said and teh status is "At NVC".

    I also completed DS160, at first it didnt asked me about my work or income but then I had a mistake in my year of birth and I did a new application, but this time it did ask me about my work, income etc. I found that curious. I did check and it's the right one, it says K1 and even asked me to check a box saying I'll marry my fiance in the following 90 days after enter to the US.

    I think I have the rest of the process clear... My only doubts are, is it too early to get a police certificate for me and my fiance documents (tax, pay receipt, employer letter etc)? Considering the soonest I might be able to get an appointment date is March 2019?

    My fiance is coming in January to visit so maybe he can bring those with him.

    Thanks again

    Wait... so Petitioner and Beneficiary have to provide police records, employer letter and all that?

    so IF we do make that batch an interview in January I likely, correct??

    So i think it depends on your local US embassy, I had my fiance call the embassy in Guatemala to find out the appointment dates like how quick they are scheduling appointments and their calendar and I got this response.

    US embassy will be open all the month in December except 24th 25th and 31st. regular times the other days and for immigrant visas like the K-1 after they get the packet the soonest is a week. SO I am hoping to be done with this tedious process by end of December ??

    Call your local embassy and ask the same questions and see what they say.

    yay!!!! so glad you called!!!!  yeah I will call again every day until I hear something. Are they closed Friday also?

    so the lady I spoke to said that they are off Thursday and Friday, but I have a friend well just made a friend that works for USCIS saying that they work tomorrow Wednesday just half day but not sure.  We need to make it to the 27/28 shipping LOL.

    ahhh ok.. darn so Im looking at December. unless I get lucky somehow and make it to the 27/28 batch

    So I just called NVC and told me they received the file yesterday, same thing they told you it will take up to 8 weeks to assign case numbers.... LOL. I was looking at other forums, October for example and they were getting case numbers within 5 days from the day they received the file. so we might be able to make that batch of the 27/28 fingers crossed.

    NVC received our petition yesterday. Should I wait two weeks and begin calling for the NVC number?

    So they received your case already??? I am hoping they received mine too, we have the NOA2 on the same date. May I ask you how did you find out? I sent them an email last week and they told me they have not received yet. Should I call or send an email again?

    THANK YOU!!

    Sigh... Feeling a little down. .

    Found out on the South African K1 forum that the SA embassy won't have any K1 interviews for December. So even if we make the shipment for end of this month, we'll only get to do interviews and medical appointments in Jan. . Sigh.. . O'well.

    There goes Christmas with my beloved... ... 🙈😞

    I was literally feeling the same way today as the holidays approach... I was hoping to have my other half by December but I guess it will be very difficult to have that dream come true. but hope is the last thing we loose they say. LOL

    Police report, birth certificate  get two or three copies, DS 160 confirmation, two new letters of intent, whole copy of the I 129F petition, new evidence pictures, logs, I have the last three years of the tax transcripts, I also have a work letter, I’m also thinking about my bank statements but not sure

    Yes same here still wondering about the bank statements, I am thinking with the tax documents, work letter should be sufficient ? LOL

    I’m pretty sure i wait for a case number.. I’m not sure how i would get it next week since it says 7-10 days.. but maybe there is a possibility. I was going to start calling in ten days. Should i call earlier? Anyway with that number I’ll complete the Ds -160 and set up an account on us travel docs.. pay all fees and schedule everything.

    what documents are you gathering?

    * affidavit of support

    * latest three tax reports

    * last year bank statements

    * proof of relationship from the date we filed the I-29F ? including pictures and call logs etc?

    * Police and Court clearance for beneficiary.

    Am I missing something else?

    Visit your Country's Embassy website http://www.ustraveldocs.com/gt/gt-gen-faq.asp

    Email the Embassy and ask for a Packet 3 letter (P3) with interview instructions.

    Then make a copy, PDF works just fine,  and send it to me via a PM here on VJ. I don't have one from your Embassy and would like to share with others. Thanks and good luck.

    thank you @Greenbaum I emailed them already, hoping to hear from them soon. I will keep you posted.

    It’s unlikely to have an interview in December correct? I should be looking into January?

    I still have hope to be honest, assuming they will send our cases to NVC next week, two weeks to get number and stuff and other two to receive at the embassy ? maybe we have a chance a slight change but there is still hope lol.

    Now I am lost on what to do from here, after we get approved what's next ? wait for the NVC case number? should we start filling out paperwork? if so what paperwork? what's NEXT please help?

    I will call our knowledge base @Greenbaum to assist please... HHEEHEH

    I called and spoke to a T2 agent Ashley.  She was very informative.  No I dont need anything it is in its final stage of review.  She mentioned that they are up to April 11 so another few weeks and i should hear good news.  Fingers crossed guys. @NicholeT and others waiting, call in.

    See I think you are fine, we are just getting very anxious and want to hear from them NOW!! LOL I hear you I was there.

    what number did you call. Please share so I can call please.

    So I called this number 1 (800) 375-5283 I called because I was not sure if I have filled out the form correctly for the criminal history so I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to amend the petition thinking it was incorrectly filled out, When I called, I was talking to the first agent and he transferred me to T2 agent, he called it a "higher agent" I was transferred so I explained my concern and she said. "Ok you are very far throughout the process and don't see anything derogatory in your file, if anything you will get an RFE but no worries you will hear from us in the next couple of weeks ".

    Congrads to everyone today! :D

    anyone have any idea what stage you might be at if your told nothing derogatory was found? That’s what they told me today, thanks

    When I called two weeks ago they told me, you are very far throughout the process and nothing was found so you should be good to go. The T2 agent told me you will hear from us in the next couple of weeks. Sure enough today I was approved.

    Don't be discouraged.  One approval for May 17th is no reason to be discouraged.  I feel you will hear in the next week.  Chin up...all will be well in a few.  Reinstall your application and resume checking till you leave us to the next phase.

    I am like you anxious but not discouraged.  It looks like to me with my looking Nov. 7th or around that time should be your expected time of notice.

    I am also trying so hard not to be discouraged, but it is very hard.... we have been waiting for so long now to give up LOL!!! but it is disheartening to hear that there is people waiting for the NOA2 since January 2018 even December 2017. So the only thing I can say is to just be positive remember whatever you put out in the universe will come back to you...

    I just don't have fingers crossed, arms, legs and eyes are crossed at this point. LOL

    I do believe we will be hearing from them in the next two weeks, hopefully before thanksgiving. and that would be a main reason to be thankful for this year...
