Hey yesterday got my Social security card..now waiting for the green card.we paid the fee of the GC before our POE .. It's almost a month our status on USCIS still.says that they received our payment of the green card.God knows what they are doing. @Sugarlegetiti when did u pay your GC fee? And what does it say now? @Abies this week I guess u r going to the SSN office.

I paid the GC fee on September 10, now status says October 12 In Process USCIS has accepted your application, petition or request for Processing. Before that it says September 22 In Process USCIS has received your application, petition or request for Processing. I have faith this will be our week. I hope the weather is not bad in Boston.

    Hello everyone.

VISA APPROVED.  By the grace of Almighty Allah.

It was basic and quite simple .. 7 questions

    Who is calling u?

    Love or arranged marriage?

When did u meet ur husband?

How many times did he visit u?

How many people attended the wedding ?

    What are his hobbies ?

Have u been to US before ?

That's all and then he said those magical words.. took me 5 mins .. and I was out..

Thanks alot to everyone here for all the help and guidance. Made real good friends in this year long process.

Goodluck to all those who are waiting.  Should be done soon.

    Congratulations! 💃💃

Exactly what the CBP officer told me at the POE he said that tell your wife to make sure that she files for ROC i1751 90days prior to your 2nd anniversary and when i asked the CBP officer,he said that mostly USCIS takes a year to approve the ROC on the GC and i told my wife about it she said yes she understands the immigration process and she knows when to file for it,when you guys create a group please buzz me or something maybe the whatsapp could be better

@Abies is in charge of the WhatsApp group so make sure she has your USA number

  3. 2 hours ago, valentinasc said:

Yes let me know when you create the group!

    And good!!

@Sugarlegetiti confused me a bit saying “keep in mind you can file I-751 90 days before 2 years anniversary - marriage or gc?? I understood uscis doesn’t care about marriage events, that I have to keep an eye out for my GC expiration date

Sorry to confused you, the two years is for the green card not marriage.

@Rameda  I agree with @valentinasc  indeed and craigslist are the place to search for jobs.

Its same process with the NOA2,randomly done but it's usually within 120days to receive the green card in the mail. USCIS is known to be very inconsistent.

@valentinasc and I also had our POE at LAX and landed 1 and 2days after your husband landed. It's really a crazy process. @Ajt3 is yet to receive her SSC and GC even when she landed same day with your husband but different POE.

    Fingers crossed for you guys.

I believe we both we receive it soon.

My POE was indeed Friday September 21 at LAX ..

Im very grateful in being able to have obtained ssc in 7 days and gc 3 weeks after entering the country.

Even if I had to wait longer it was going to be ok, being with my husband everyday is everything to me :) The dark days are over.

Now the next step for me will be to Remove Conditions in 2 years and I found out I’ll be able to skip the interview !

But for now enjoy life and my husband !

I am also enjoying my husband and marriage life. Since he has arrived every weekend we have a program to go to. I don't mine the wait, keep in mind that you can send the Removal of Conditions 90 days before the two years Anniversary.

@Abies @Sugarlegetiti @Don Godwin @Ajt3 Since we’re checking up with each other I want to let you know that i have gotten my GC today. 22 days after poe

Thank you for all the support you’ve given me all here in VJ. I really appreciate it.

Good luck in all the rest :) hugs x

I am happy for you and hugs and kisses to you as well😘

My hubby green card status still says In Process and we still waiting to receive his SSC.

The funny thing is my hubby POE was September 20 at LAX, I am very patient when dealing with USCIS because I know it is not by first come first serve service lol. USCIS received his process papers on September 22 and on October 12 his green card status changed from received to accepted. I am hopeful by Friday we will know for sure if his green card is in the mail.

@Abies  happy you have received your green card 💃

@Ajt3 what's new? Have you checked your GC status online to know if it has been produced or mailed to you?if NO,please do.

@Rameda how did your husband's interview go?

@wendykay how are you preparing for your big day?

@Sugarlegetiti and @LadyTT357 whats new with you girls? how are your husbands coping?

Hubby is coping well, he knows his way around town now. I have taken him to work twice and he has gone home by himself. This morning I dropped him off at the SSA office and he went home again by himself.

We still have not received his SSC, I called yesterday and was told he should have have received the card already and our address was confirmed and it is correct. I asked when they mailed it and was told they can't give me that information and we should go to the office. Today at the SSA office my hubby was told he should have received his card by now and was give another receipt with today's date. Hubby asked again when the card was mailed and he was told again they can't give him that information but if he doesn't receive the SSC in three weeks he should come to the office again and they will issue him his card there.

With the Green Card it still says In Process.

    Trust you are doing well.

I have experience ;) just looking after a job that matches my husband’s schedule if not won’t take it

@Sugarlegetiti my husband’s teaching me how to drive but with the news that we won’t be in the states for that long I might as well just worry and get a job and make some money and obtain a drivers license in Asia where we will be stationed. I can’t study and work 😛

I will advice you to still allow hubby to teach you how to drive and when you get to Asia you already knows how to drive all you will need is the country's driving rules and regulations. My husband already knows how to drive all he us doing is learning California's driving rules and regulations. You can multitask 😜

That ss card should get there very soon then! I am very surprised about my Green Card, checked the status and changed to card being produced! Happy tho, can't complain :) thank you and wish you and hubby are doing fine :) x

We are doing great and hubby is adjusting very well. He is studying the California driver's handbook and will be taking the written test in two weeks. I hope you are adjusting well and enjoying your husband 😍

    Hi Montreal peeps,

I went for my interview this morning and was approved. Your interview time does matter, if you show up too early and they are waiting on other interviewees with times before you, you will have to wait.

They give you a number along with a list of items.

I was asked for W2 which wasn't on the list they give you when you enter the embassy but I had it with me.

My medical also had a mistake, the Doctor forgot to include my picture to the reports, however they said they would contact the doctor directly.

    Questions asked:

    how did you meet

what does your husband do for a living

how often do you see each other

    where does he live

where have you travelled internationally in the last five years

    is this your first marriage

Then I took the oath and they said congrats you have been approved.

Good luck to everyone with interviews coming up!

    Congrats!! 🎉🎉

To all those of you with interviews coming up.... I know your pain! You have to leave it all to God and be positive. Go to your interview well dressed and ready, don’t show you’re nervous and answer all questions promptly.

Good luck to you all 🙏🏼

    @Abies @Don Godwin any updates?

@Sugarlegetiti has your husband received it all ?

Looks like my GC is on the way so I’m very happy

My hubby has not received the ss card yet, hopefully it is in the mail today. With the green card it still says In Process.  I am happy for you, this stage is going fast for you and you deserve it.

Then they gave a blue paper which it's written a temporary refusal at the bottom .. did any go throw this? 😢

Sorry for the temporary delay, just upload the affidavit of support of the joint sponsor. Did the CO have your passport? After they receive the joint sponsor AOS your visa will be issue

Had my interview at the Stockholm embassy in Sweden today 9/19/2018.

The CO I was speaking to was very friendly, she simply asked a few questions about how me and my wife met, when we decided to get married/engaged, etc etc. All the staff in general were very friendly people. Was a nerve wrecking but nice experience. I got called up to the window to hand in my documents 1st, then waited around 40 minutes to be called, then spoke to CO. She looked over papers after all my answers, then told me I was approved! Visa should arrive in 1 to 2 weeks she said. As soon as my passport arrives, I'm booking the first flight to Phoenix, Arizona to be with my wife:)

Thanks to everyone at VJ for all the help and support. You all have been very helpful!

    Congratulations! 🎉🎉
