Please my husband will petition for form I-130 on my behalf and I want to know if it’s necessary to add wedding photos and every other evidence at the initial stage

Yes it is necessary to add any evidence you have now at the USCIS stage like pictures, chat & call logs, boarding passes, greeting cards and more. Very important to frontload at the USCIS stage. Ghana is a tough embassy

How to overcome the CO is to open your eyes wide and give them eye contacts before you are called to be interviewed mehn you guys need to see the full eye contacts i gave to her while answering her question though i was asked just 4 questions....and she pronouced the magic words though we argued that my wife was never divorced before she kept bring up the issues reviews coming up later

I don’t know much about front loading the packet, this is another thing I’ll have to learn. I have passport stamps but boarding passes I didn’t keep, either that or they are too faded you can’t read much. We mainly chat via fb messenger. Do you recommend something better that we can show chat history?

Good to know we can still include visits over 2 years ago. Thanks!

Try WhatsApp, that is what I used both chat and call logs. On your next trip keep your boarding passes it can be emailed to you.

Right my next visit be my 3rd time to see him.  At my place of employment you can take a total of 3 weeks off at a time.  maybe I can stretch it to 4 weeks, but our policy is max 3 weeks off in a row. Though with doing 3   12 hour shifts a week, maybe I can arrange it to total 4 weeks.  If I get to go in November I can only go for 2 weeks because that’s all the time off I’ve accumulated so far 😆

If you only have 3weeks then it is fine, you can wait till May so that you can get the 3weeks and if your company can give you till 4weeks. If you choose to marry do traditional engagement plus the wedding ceremony. The wedding can be at the register office or a pastor can marry you guys after the traditional engagement ceremony

But do not marry on 1st visit / Ghana is like Morocco / u must see each other on multiple visits to be successful

good luck /stay for the long run and you can be happy

It will be her third visit in May so it will be fine to marry if she chooses to. I married my husband on the second visit and we have no problem.  Your are right the next vist she should stay longer. I stayed  30days each on both visits

    Good morning everyone,

I just noticed this morning that the place of birth in my fiancé’s passport is incorrect. He had his passport renewed and even provided the expired passport for renewal yet the Ghana passport services still messed up. He has had the passport for months and never noticed the mistake until this morning. My questions are:

    1. Can the mistake be corrected without having him being issued a whole new passport with a different passport number? His current passport doesn’t expire until 2023.

    2. We have already made the payment for the visa fee and have his passport number already on the receipt. In the event that he cannot simply correct the place of birth( with Ghana you never really know), can he go back to the bank and have them issue a new receipt with the new passport number? Thank you all so much. I’m just glad we found the mistake before submitting the DS 160. Thank you.

You have to correct the place of birth in the passport. Check with the Ghana passport office if it can be corrected without issuing a new passport. Good luck

My fiance and I are planning to apply for K-1 visa now that my divorce is final.  Is it better to have a traditional engagement in my fiance's country?  Does traditional engagement help boost our chances of him obtaining a visa?  Or is it sufficient enough that we have a mutual agreement to get married?  We weren't necessarily planning to do a traditional engagement because I am not sure if I will be able to visit before this year is over and if that is the case  I won't be there until May at the earliest (next year).  We could not get engaged last year when I visited as my divorce was not final.  My first husband and I did have a traditional engagement 12 years ago.  It's been too long ago that if forget certain things about this process and with that, as time passes, things change.  Your help and/or advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Traditional engagement will not help your chances for a K1 visa. With K1 all you need is the intent to marry within 90days of arriving in the USA and  have met your fiance in person within two years.  You have two options you can file the K1 now or you go marry in May and file CR1. K1 is expensive and CR1 is cheaper

I’m over here very pregnant and sick. Now I received a check list for NVC, my whole morning sucks I can’t even breathe...

You need to breathe and relax, checklist are normal and nothing to worry about. Whatever they requested on the checklist it is something you can take witht you to the  interview unless it says otherwise.

May I ask what is on the checklist?

    Guys good afternoon...

I found today thatI was approved but also I´m under Administrative review for the 2 papers that they required, wich means that the issuance of my visa can take up to 60 days since received the required docs, I will be out of VJ untill I got the visa! It´s going to be better for me being out of here in order to handle the stress and the depression of finding that!

To all here, I wish you Speedy CC, Speedy Interview Letters, quick interviews and fast issuance and POE!

    I love u all!

    Blessings...

    Jhonny!

Ok, do what is best for you and I pray your visa is issue  before the 60 days. We love you and care about you.

We have an appt  with a new lawyer next week to see what he may be able to help us with! Still praying for All of those waiting!

Sorry  your husband visa got denied. I love your spirit do not give up, make sure the new lawyer has experience in this type of cases. Best of luck next time

    @Sugarlegetiti

what do you recommend on sending for additional evidence? I sent in roughly 25+ photos of us and his family & friends along with wedding photos, our marriage certificates from the registrar and church, boarding tickets, Updated driver licenses and social security card with my new last name. I didn't include any chat logs (which i have collected now). I decided because there were tons pages, I took pieces of a conversation from everyday over the course of 1year. I hope that is enough. I will have more photos and another set of boarding tickets because i will be back in Ghana next month visiting him and also in March for a friends wedding.

I really don't have any FB conversation because i'm not on there often however My husband and I have a few pictures we each posted of one another (some months ago), should i screenshot those?

So far the evidence you have provided is okay  for now but please add chat and call logs between you and your husband very important to prove continuous relationship. Do screenshots of video calls between your family and you husband, also your family in the USA should write an affidavits about knowledge of your marriage. With Facebook the consular officers and their assistants do check it on their so the will see the post so no need to screenshot it. You will have a chance to send the March visit evidence at NVC stage. You can send me a message if you have any questions and I am here to help. So far you are on the right track.

My husband was approved Tuesday morning and we are beyond excited!! @rose1222 @Abies

Our Interview was for 8:00AM and we arrived around 6:30, they did NOT let us in and said they would call us once they were letting in 8 AM interviews. Around 7:15 they called us to go in -- we didn't actually get to be interviewed until around 11:10 AM, the interview was no more than 3 minutes long.

    Questions asked:

    Questions towards my husband--

    1. When and How did we meet?

    2. Asked my husband to talk about my life in the US.

    3. How did he propose?

    4. If we knew each others families?

    5. Asked my husband where I worked and what I did there.

    6. Asked my husband where I went to University and what I studied there.

    Questions towards me--

    1. If we got married quickly.

    2. If I visited him often.

    Congrats!🎉🎉💃💃

Can you please advise me on your steps? I'm currently am waiting on my NOA2 and i did not do a lot of front loading. As of now i'm putting together more evidence in advance.

Ghana is a tough embassy, it is very important to frontload at the USCIS stage but since you didn't do that, now it is very important to frontload at the NVC stage. The Consular Officers in Ghana reviews evidence couple of days before the interview  day and they make their decisions before interview day so it is important for them to have all your evidence before interview day. I frontloaded at the USCIS and NVC stage and my husband CR 1 visa got approved. My hubby (fiance at the time) was denied K1 visa in 2016 and I did not frontload the petition at that time.

Oh man! I'm so excited that I can't even remember all of the things I have studied about what happens next. Will the status change again? I should start checking the mailbox now (it's about 11pm here haha). Maybe they won't even send an e-mail...maybe it's in my spam folder (nope). Oh it feels like we're so close.

    💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃

Yes very close, let the packing begins.
