After months of waiting my case is already scheduled for interview on March 31 in Los Angeles. However, I am not sure if its a combo interview since the letter only states N-400.

My estimated completion date was Dec 2019 and then Jan 2020 and then Feb 2020 and it went away. I'm a Oct 2018 filer. And I just got a notice of interview scheduled. My guess the interview is probably at the end of March. If I get the chance to do same-day oath, my case would be finished by the end of March, so total about close to 18 months, about 2 months later than their estimated completion time.

I'm happy to announce that I was approved at interview this morning and will attend the Oath Ceremony on March 26th, 2020

    Interview was quick..
    - Invited in to office
    - Read aloud one sentence that was on a touch pad in front of me on the officers desk
    - Asked to write one sentence "When is Columbus Day" using a stylus on the touch pad.
    - Asked 6 simple questions; (got all 6 correct so agent stopped at 6) Capital of my state? Who vetoes bills? Capital of United States? What territory did US buy from France? What major event happened on Sept 11th, 2001? Where is the Statue of Liberty?
    - Asked some security questions
    - Asked personal bio questions
    - Signed documents electronically
    - Approved on site
Oath ceremony set for March 26h, 2020

Likely I will be back here to check on how you are all doing but I VERY glad to put an almost 30 year struggle behind me...now for that PASSPORT!!!!

Yea good point. I plan to ask for level2 officer next time I call their customer support line. Their level-1 were at least able to confirm that the system showed that I attended the interview.

Thank you so much for posting such an extensive description of your interview.  Truly a very helpful post.  Also, I noticed that the Scottsdale USCIS field office processes applications rather quickly.  A big congratulations to you and yours...

Hi guys, I had my interview today and I thought I'd share how it went.
It was scheduled for 10:55 am. I had to drive 2 hours to get there and I wasn't sure how bad the traffic will be, so in the end I arrived an hour early. I went in and got my picture and fingerprints taken around 10:25 am. My interview didn't start until 12:25 pm. So it was a lot of waiting time! They were playing the Kobe Bryant memorial in the waiting room as I waited.
The actual interview took somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes. The interviewing officer was very polite and official. I swear he looked just like Seth Gilliam in "The Walking Dead" 😅
I had to present my green card and driver's license.
He started with the civics test. My questions were:
    1. Why does the flag have 13 stripes?
    2. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?
    3. What is the political party of the President now?
    4. Who is one of your state’s U.S. Senators now?
    5. Who vetoes bills?
    6. What are the two major political parties in the Unites States?
Then I had the reading and writing test. Can't remember the reading part, but I had to write the sentence: "The people elect Congress".
Then there were the questions about my application, such as confirm my full name, DOB, did the address change, how many times have you been married, are you still married, etc.
Then there were the questions such as "have you ever belonged to a communist party/killed anyone/belonged to a terrorist organization/been a prostitute or paid for sex/worked at a detention center or prison, etc"
Then there were the declarations pertaining to the Oath, such as "Do you understand the full Oath? Are you willing to serve in the military if needed" etc. Then I signed the document electronically.
The officer did not ask for any other documents. Didn't want to see the original marriage certificate or my husband's birth certificate/passport, even though my appointment letter said to bring those with me.
By the way, you were all right - my husband's absence was a non-issue. Didn't even ask about it.
I was told that I would get my oath ceremony letter in a couple of weeks and that most likely it'll be a "special ceremony in March", which got me super excited for a second, because I remember seeing that they held an oath ceremony last year at the Grand Canyon National Park and I though it would be super cool, but then he said "most likely it'll be at a school in Scottsdale". Oh well...
    That's it!

Call USCIS customer rep. and ask them what the status the see on their part. If they also tell you this same (bs) status then ask them to escalate to a higher level officer who has access to more information and make them aware of what you are seeing in the my.uscis.

My journey has finally come to an end. Had my interview today at the Mount Laurel Field Office. It was an extremely easy process, came around 9am and was out by 12pm. Actual Interview was 20mins long and there was an hour wait time for the Oath ceremony which lasted roughly an hour. Officer was extremely kind and friendly and asked very basic questions and 10 civic questions. Walked out with my certificate in hand and should be applying for my passport tomorrow. Thank to everyone for the support throughout this phase, wishing everyone else waiting the best.

Attended my Naturalization Ceremony in downtown Denver yesterday. It was a judicial ceremony for people who applied for a name change along with their N400 application. We were a total of 150 new citizens from 50 countries. Oath was administered by a judge and we also received a signed and stamped form N-662 (petition for name change) along with our certificate of naturalization.
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

I am facing the same situation although at San Antonio office. Interviewed on February 10th. Officer mentioned that the status would change overnight to approved but still stuck at "Interview Scheduled". I had a clean N400 application. The officer only wanted to look at the GC. I was given form with recommended for approval box checked. I know from reading on uscis website that after interview the file is handed off by IO to a different officer who does the final approval. I am also confused and a bit restless with the turn of events.

No idea why it took so long.

As I followed progress on here all I can assume is that when I applied for N400 it put my processing time to the N400 one which was longer than i751 so I lost my place in line for i751.

I just put in service request after service request.
