Just when I had given up and taken it off of the table until next year, my wife called me this morning and woke me up with the best news and best Christmas present ever!
    APPROVED! Thank you NSC.

    Timeline
08DEC17 - Married: Tagaytay, Cavite, PH
29MAR18 - Packet sent to Rapid Visa
03APR18 - Packet sent to PHX lockbox
    05APR18 - NOA1
    21DEC18 - NOA2

Quite honestly, we were both thinking that we might get an RFE because I did not send any photos, chat logs, or other info. But, I am guessing that they either viewed my FB page with all the photos of us together as well as me with her family.
I am wondering if they do passport research. IF so, they will see that I have traveled to the Philippines 3x this year. Then, earlier this year I bought us tickets for our vacations to Singapore & Indonesia. 2 weeks ago, I flew us to Taiwan where we spent 8 days there for our 1 year anniversary. Like I said, we both thought that we might get RFE because I did not send much, other than the legal documents and I think a copy of our wedding invitation and something else. So if they do check FB post and or Passport usage and that I went to the Philippines several times and that we traveled together and passports stamped and scanned in different countries together. I do not know if those were things that helped, but I am so glad we finally got it.

You want to tell a clean and easy to understand story. How you met - proof..... where you met in person.... proof.... but between it all tell the story. I put together a booklet with all the scans and digital photos of the proof. I wrote a clear, simple story between each bit of evidence. When I was done it was easy to go through and see how we got together. Make it simple. Make is so the reviewing officer doesn't have to think.  Visa stamps are better proofs than Facebook pages. Airline tickets are good. Hotel receipts. Photos. all telling the story.

My PD is April 2nd and still haven't heard anything as of yet.  It seems like they are on the tailend of March and will try to finish March for December before they move onto April petitions.  The Wait is killing me and I knew being at Nebraska was probably going to be a long wait but we are still in normal processing time so still have to wait another month before we inquire.  Hopefully I hear something before that, that way I don't have to write my congressmen.  C'mon Nebraska, people are trying to reconnect here.

I see! I am going to call them sometime this week before the holiday starts! What do I need to have when I call? The receipt number, probably.

What's wrong with Nebraska office ?!!! I haven't seen any early April approvals for 2 weeks now!
    My NOA1 is April 20
Today we complete 240 days waiting to hear anything from the USCIS and the estimated time on VJ keeps jumping everyday!! Why is it the slowest office ?!

    Hi Axa,
I'm also an April filer.  PD 4/2/18.  just beginning this journey and my petition was sent to Nebraska.  At first, I was worry it was going to take a year for an approval but it looks like it's only going to take 7-8 months. What Service center did your paperwork get sent to?

I think if you divorce him for anything other than violence. You will be deported back to your country, so check properly and do your research before divorcing and quickly remarrying, because if I was a USCIS official, I will find a red flag there, after you have dissolved your marriage you planning on another marriage and not actually to an American but a foreign person probably maybe from your country, that's a big red flag, I will say wait for a year before remarrying. Just my idea to you. USCIS are very intelligent. This is a case that has happened to a lady, she divorced her husband saying it didn't work out and the next month she married and filed, but she was deported, they will ask you a tricky question. Just wait till after a year before remarrying and filing.

Hi. We just did the same thing. She was denied at the embassy. I thought they were being just spiteful and telling her no. So, I work for an international passenger airline (24 years) here in Houston, Texas. I have access to many departments. I went to the airport early one day and met with a Customs and Immigration officer who told me that since we have a CR1 petition filed (she did not tell them, it came up on their computer) and was denied. I asked him how come! I said, why would that be? When we have paid the fees, sent all the background info, doing all the legal processes, why would we risk her coming here for a one way trip.

The short answer he gave me was, because of those before us! There were those who were granted (unknown time line... could be years ago) a visa to come here while a CR1 was in process. What happened he said, is that once here, they filed for an adjustment of status, and came here and got married. I said "we are already married!" He said that the US Gov't does not recognize us as married...yet. So coming over on a tourist visa, even though already married in another country, then come here and get married again, but in the US and file for an adjustment of status. He called it Fast Tracking. So now they will not approve them while a CR1 is in process.

Hope this helps you. It is sad that those like my wife and I follow the rules, dot all the i's, cross all the T's, and the ones before have messed it up for the rest of us.

    Hi,

i was trying to search the site regarding visiting my husband while in the middle of the CR1 process. I have been hearing that while my CR1 petition is in place I need to remain out of the usa until I am approved. Is this the case? I hate being away from my husband I miss him so much and is it true I am unable to visit him? I guess he can come visit me in the UK and I could travel to another country and we could vacate together. But it’s easier for me to hop on a plane to the usa as I work for an American airline carrier

    any advice is grateful

    thanks
    Emma
