This is not correct. Yes, it happened in YOUR situation, but for those of us going through LFOs with long waits, the status will show "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" for up to 24 months or for however long it takes for an interview times lot to become available. Get it?
This was my experience but its possible si maybe in YOUR experience it is longer. As previously mentionef, it depends on your local office as well. Get it?

Not how that works at all field offices. Some are taking close to two years due to the volume of applications.
Yes every office is different but if they said that they are sending you the interview appt. Letter than you should have interview soon. Problem is that depending on the office, it could take a while to process. The CO tried to give us an RFE for the medical but that was his mistake and we didnt end up with an RFE.

No worries...welcome!

You'll be fine. Keep checking to see when your packet is en route to the embassy. We were able to make the interview appt. When it was in transit. As for the vaccinations, start now. My fiance had to wait 30 days in between the 1st and 2nd dose of one of then. NHS covers them but his GP told him it would take about 6 weeks before he could make an appointment for one of the vaccinations. He ended up going to boots. Just get the other paperwork ready. Once it was in transit, our process was quick.

Just an update.....the interview was on the 13th at London embassy. We were approved the same day and as of this morning, en route to Scotland. Pick up will be Monday. London works fast. I was initially worried the holidays would slow then down but not the case. BTW, ceac states ISSUED and it skipped AP. Sending ya'll some positive vibes

My fiance lives in Scotland but is Polish born. He sent pics of his documents to lingo horizon and they sent the translations to him within the week. It has to be signed and sealed by a certified translator...unfortunately, your friend cannot do it for you, unless he/she is a certified translator.

Thank you VJ!!! Without @Greenbaum and this site, the process would not have been smooth sailing. Today was the interview and was approved on the spot. The wait in line was longer than the interview. They asked for the affidavit, financial statements, birth certificate, police certificates and passport and was told that the visa would be received within a week. Good luck to everyone that is still in the process!

I'm having some trouble getting my vaccinations scheduled via my GP. At first I was told I could just schedule them in with a nurse, but they have now said that since it is classed as a travel immunisation, I will need to go elsewhere and get it done privately. They didn't even offer for me to have it done at the GP surgery for a fee. I did explain that I am going over there to live, and not to travel.
I know plenty of people on here have had no issue getting them done at their GP at much reduced cost - or even for free. I looked at private clinics and they cost around the same as Knightsbridge.
Is there any argument I can use with my GP surgery in order to get the vaccinations done a reduced cost, rather than having to go privately? Every penny counts at the moment with all the visa costs and I'd rather not pay £100 for jabs if I don't have to.
Any advice would be most appreciated.
My fiance is in Scotland and he tried with his GP but it was going to take about 6 to 12 weeks to be able to schedule him. There are travel clinics but charge quite a bit. He ended up going to Boots and paid £85 for all the jabs.He has to return on the 12th of Nov. for a second set of MMR but it's already on his shot records. None of them were covered by the NHS and they dont have the flu jab. Either way it was more convenient at Boots.

The system is so flawed that I for one wouldn't be checking as it's a waste of time. Now you want to get the case number and that takes about 2 weeks for NOA2 approximately. YMMV
I already got the case#. Yay! Just wanted to update this thread. I know the waiting sucks but it will get there.

Check your spam folder. Did you register the beneficiary's and petitioner's email address for updates when they occur?
Yes I did. Checked every folder but nothing was updated with USCIS. It was a nice surprise to see my NOA2 in the mailbox. But even now when I check USCIS, it still says received.

To all the March filers waiting. Here's an update on my case to hopefully put you at ease a bit.
So I received the paper NOA2 on 22 SEP and approved 18 SEP. So USCIS has yet to update the sites both old and new. My case was sent to NVC. Called on 1 OCT to see if there was a case number...nothing. Called the following night and was told that they had just assigned a case number. I've checked the USCIS site and nothing has been updated and it still says received in March. I never received an alert or email. So check your snail mail folks.

If he's lived in the UK for 10 years legally, I don't see how he wouldn't be a legal resident of the UK. They'll send it to the consulate that does K-1s for the most recent address you listed, which it sounds like will be in the UK, so it will be London.
You have to apply for residency and for most its unnecessary.

He legally stays and works in UK, I would contact US embassy in UK and find out.
That's what we might do. Just checking on here to see if anyone has had that experience. We dont care where the interview is but we are thinking in terms of the traveling back and forth in this regard.

Did you write his current UK address in the I129f, and choose the UK consulate?
If so, what makes you think he'll have to interview in Poland?
If for some reason you used a Polish address and selected the Polish consulate, he'll have to interview in Poland. But in that case, I think it's best to have his medical done in Poland as well, because each country has a specific way in which the consulate and doctor work together and communicate.
On the USCIS website it states that you are sent to your country of residence, which is Poland. I out his UK address but in reading on VJ, some folks were still sent to their home country. I was just wondering if anyone had a experience.

If he has lived in the uk for the past ten years how is he not a resident there? Do you mean that as he is a citizen of Poland but not the uk? Is he not in the uk legally?
He is an EU citizen. It's part or the Schengen agreement between EU countries. There is no need to have a Visa to work or live in those countries.

Why would he be sent to Poland for his interview? Did you not put his actual embassy location in the packet, and does he have a valid visa for the UK?
He is a resident of Poland not of the UK. He has lived in the UK for the past 10 years. But from what I have researched they will send your packet to the country that you are a resident of even if you dont live there. I saw this in another thread and it's on the USCIS website.

My fiance lives in the UK but is from Poland. More than likely he will be sent to Poland to have his interview. Can he do his medical with an approved consular doctor in the UK and take his packet to Poland for the interview?

Thank you! This website is called Visa Journey for a reason. Happy to read everyone’s journey and compare notes and excited for everyone receiving their NOA2s. I think most the anxiety I bet is off your mind knowing you don’t have any RFE’s to worry about. The interview should be painless as long you can prove a bona fide relationship.
I’m an early April filers and hope to get my NOA2 soon....I think a lot of us April filers are reading what’s going on with March filers right now.
Congratulations again and thank you for sharing your experience. It really does help the rest of us who are waiting and wondering just like you were until about 1 hour ago 😊
Of course and I'm glad to help. The waiting can be brutal so we have to rely on others experience. Good luck!
