It can take up to 30 days for USCIS to notify you via text/e-mail (if you gave a G-1145)
If u have tracking on ur package that said it was delivered, then rest assured. It was delivered

They sometimes get backlogged and things fall out slowly.
It's only been a week. Most people hear something within 2-3 weeks

How long does it take to get notified of anything? We sent our binder, with all 3 forms in plastic sleeves on October 15th. We haven’t got any letter or email about anything. Getting a bit anxious.. how long does it usually take? Have I done something wrong?  I sent it all together to the Chicago PO box.

So we got the electronic notifications today. I asked earlier if there was a benefit to sending 3 G-1145s instead of just one, well we sent only one and still received 3 notifications one for each form. So in our case at least one G-1145 was as good as 3, don't know if that's always the case but the case numbers were sequential any way as in I-485 was 01 131 was 02 and 785 was 03. The way we assembled our packet was 485 with evidence  in one paper clip followed by 864 with evidence in a paper clip then 131 with evidence in a paper clip and lastly 765 with evidence in a paper clip all put together in a binder clip with the G1145 and check at the very front seems to have worked fine at this point but can't really say if it is the best way but seemed like the easiest way.
 
One question I have is the I-485 status is fingerprint fee was received, is this typical?

I just got the letter of my Appointment notice not fingerprints. It’s this same month. Kind of susprice how fast, still not SSN tho.

This time I figured I'd two hole punch everything for them since they are going to do that anyways and use 2 hole fasteners.I still binder clipped the actual forms as a bunch inside each package though.

after reading some tutorials here is what I learned:
we need to request  the SS card when we arrive.
it will have a phrase on it about the work authorization from USCIS or something like this.
we need to check the box that i asked abou in order for USCIS to contact SSN offices to change and remove the phrase and issue a new card.
if we don't do that, we will have to go ourselves to SS offices and ask them to change it.
 
i think that it is a one plus layer of security to ask USCIS for a new SS card to not have to deal with going ourselves.
@Greenbaum @Naes or anyone really can you confirm please. 

I also paid with a credit card and have received my texts/the money has been taken. Wasn't going to miss out on that sort of cash back 😂

I'm in a group on Facebook and lots of people are getting EAD in 3 months. July filers now receiving their EAD. So, there is hope that it won't take 6-8 months.

I have a friend who paid with credit card when she filed a few weeks ago, and it was fine. I'm paying by credit card. 

I was about to send the originals. But I just didn’t send it because there was information on the back side, and didn’t wanted a missing page situation. But it worked out fine with the photocopy so far got to the ready to be scheduled status 

I sent a photocopy. Nothing was original.

You do what's best for you. Everyone does things differently but may I suggest going online to youtube and looking up some package assembly videos?
There are many good ones and many are outdated but I used this one here:
It is a bit outdated as it includes the G325 but it is helpful in seeing which supporting documents are being submitted for each form. I played it on my TV even and took screenshots with my phone at the TV of the cover letters even as the video played to see the layout and confirm documents. Might be reassuring...

My Canadian former co-worker got married on a K1 in California in Sept 2017. She applied for AOS with EAD and AP and got her Greencard before her combo card in Dec 2017. There is hope.

I have worked in banking for 12 years. Some people never update their credit cards to their married name. As long as the name you sign matches the name on the credit card, you're fine. USCIS has no control over stuff like that, and if the name is not a match, your bank will likely decline the transaction.

I'm in Texas, they allowed me to get a driving license but it's only valid until my I-94 expires.
 
I filled September 5th and got my biometrics done on October 3rd. 

I got all 3 texts with 2 hour difference for each, so I hope you'll receive all of them by tomorrow.
 
Also numbers are usually : for example MSC189xxxxx27, MSC189xxxxx28, MSC189xxxxx29. so they are in an order. so you can check the one before and after to see maybe? thats how I got my other two as I didn't get them at the first text. In my case first one was I-485, second was I-131, and 3rd I-765. Just for information  

I just received electronic (text and email) notification that USCIS received my case. For those wondering, I sent the AOS/EAP through U.S.  postal office on October 1st, it was delivered by October 4th, my bank account was charged October 9th, and I received electronic confirmation by October 11th.

I sent my AOS package on 9/22, USCIS received it on 9/24.
They deposited my check on 10/2 and I received texts & emails on 10/3.
I received hardcopies of NOA1s on 10/6.
My Notice Date on NOA1s is October 1st:)
 
I am planning to go to Social Security Office tomorrow or next week. Hopefully I can change my name officially!

I posted applications on 10/2, got delivered on 10/4, received texts on 10/9.

I just got mine back on Tuesday, so hopefully soon!

It depends on the state and the knowledgeability of the DMV agent. 
Most states will only honor issuing a license while you have legal status...ie. before your I94 expires and after you receive your combo card. Inbetween is a grey area. I have heard some ppl have been extremely lucky and were able to renew with the NOA1 copy of their AOS to prove they are adjusting status. Pretty sure that they shouldnt have been able to renew though.

They contact you with a letter saying you’ll get your card in 2 weeks, card usually comes around he same time.
They send a letter.
