    ***For people who have been approved and had a pending I-485***

     

    I filed my VAWA 3months before I got my interview notice and I did not show up to my interview. When I applied VAWA I requested them to hold the EOS application (I-485). I just got approved on Aug 8 2019 but I don't know if this receipt is still good or if there will be online changes, so:

    1. Was there any online updates at all after you filed VAWA application? 
    2. Did you get an update after your VAWA was approved?

    I received 1 RFE in almost 2 years. I filed Aug 22 2017 and Jan 29 2019 they requested good moral character RFE, because I only submitted clearance criminal letter from the city I lived in for less than 6 months. This RFE could not be delivered to my mailbox (Still don't know why) and after many attempts to get them to send a new one they finally did on May 4 2019... 🤯 RFE was already expired and it took me a long time (1.5 months) to gather all clearance letters from all the places I've lived prior filing VAWA (I've lived in many different countries) 

    on top of that I was arrested for battery (misdimeanor) in Miami when I defended myself and admitted to the cops I scratched my ex (case was dismissed). My neighbors called the police because they knew he was beating me. 

    Still after all the facts my VAWA WAS APPROVED! BY THE MERCY OF GOD, he knows how much I've suffered.

    I am sure they can send multiple RFE's and you getting approved, at least it means they're working on your case, right? 

    So keep your hopes up and stay strong, if you're a believer pray on his name and be patient!  Don't worry, everything will fall into place.

    this should be no problem especially if you already had a pending i-485... 

    I only sent lease with my name and his on it too. Dont worry!

    Category C14 won’t impact your case non at all. All it means is that you were granted “deferred action” because your case is approved. Normally they would send C31 EAD along with a I-767 with deferred action but consider C14 as EAD with deferred action. So technically it’s a better EAD as in you don’t have to travel with the physical deferred action receipt. I got it as well back then but I had also received C31 with a physical deferred action receipt too. Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊🍾. Oh and it’s rare to receive it. Your the 2nd person including me I’ve seen.

    Girl, I just panicked for a second lol... it does say VAWA. Thank God at least he's not a total #### up HA!

    Don't worry too much..with an approved VAWA we are technically under deffered action! When you receive the approval letter the deffered action letter usually accompanies it! Ask your attorney though he probably will be able to explain what he did or didn't do! When i got my approval letter, the deffered action letter came with it!

    Thanks Dear, and the attorney hates me and is not responsive anymore because I fired him. He wasn't good with VAWA stuff so I'm assuming he messed up and filed c14 by mistake. I'm scared he filed another kind of application such as U Visa. But I have received Prima Facies before and IDK if U visas applicants also receive Prima Facies... UGH

    At least I got work permit

But he got both c31 and c14...it's not going to impact adversely on your AOS! but with an approved VAWA you're supposed to receive the C31 though...well I guess an EAD is an EAD no matter what category!     Thanks for your fast response! it's so confusing and I just don't know why would they issue c14 or if the attorney messed up.I hope it doesn't affect my AOS

    Good morning All, 

     

    I Received my EAD from my VAWA application, however is category c14.. I think the attorney who filed this messed up (he had no idea about VAWA) 

    My question is: anybody has had catgegory c14?

     

    @sandranj do you know if EAD c14 will impact my AOS application? My original i-485 application was placed on hold when I filed VAWA but I'm just confused as why they issued c14 EAD.

    This one is the one my attorney filed so it is most likely c31. He said he filed AP then but he was a mess so I'm not sure. Decided to fire him shortly after he filed my application because he wasn't good. We'll see.

    VAWA petitioners CANNOT obtain any information or request over the phone .She can set up online an appointment with infopass 

    Hi Sandra, If AP isn't filed at the same time as with EAD form, how does an AP look like?

    I used to have EAD combo card that served as AP as well but is now expired, I got i-360 approval last week but I'm not sure if this card will include AP as well.

    Aug. 22, 2017... it's been Almost 2 years 

     

     

    Do you know how long they take to transfer cases to local USCIS offices?
