GBOS got a reaction from Rebecca Ann in June 2021, I-130 Filers
For those who have just recently filed I-130 for your family members, please join the thread.
I am a US citizen filing for my spouse. Priority Date is 06/22/2021, the letter came from Texas Service Center, but USCIS said the case is assigned to California Service Center.

GBOS reacted to SusieQQQ in Oath just before travel abroad, part II — Passport abroad?
By law you must have your passport when you leave the US. I don’t know what the legal implications are, but do you really want to test that before you actually have a passport in hand?
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/Advice-about-Possible-Loss-of-US-Nationality-Dual-Nationality/Dual-Nationality.html
U.S. nationals, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States.

GBOS got a reaction from Yess in Change of Address effect on pending n-400 application
As long as you meet the residency requirement (living in Dallas at least 3 months prior to your filing date) then you are fine. Your priority date will always be the date on your first receipt. Once you file AR-11 (and you should also update the address on your online account if you filed online), USCIS will update your address and the new zip code will trigger a jurisdiction transfer of your file. Your case status will show “we transferred your case to another jurisdiction...” (not verbatim, but along that line).
Your priority date will then get in line chronologically with all other applicants who are under St. Louis jurisdiction. You will not have to get back in the line. Moving does not affect your priority date.
I filed in Boston, MA in May and got transferred by the same employer to Tampa, FL a month later. I filed AR-11 and a week later I got an interview appointment scheduled for August 12. One of my friends lives in Tampa and filed a week before me, and we both got the same interview date. So I can confirm that moving does not put you all the way back in line.

GBOS reacted to Canerican in N-400 August 2018 Filers
Good Afternoon All,
I would like to proudly announce that my application was approved!!!! Here are the details of the appointment:
Once in the office the IO asked for my passport, DL, and GC. After she all my demographics such as address, phone number, etc. She then asked my wife's name as well as how many times I have been married. Then I had the tests of reading, writing, and civics.
For the reading I had to read off the tabet, "Who can vote?" and then the writing portion was "Citizens can vote." Then was the civics questions:
1.What was one war that we were involved in the 1800's?
2.What was one war that we were involved in 1900's?
3.Who is the current president?
4.Why did the colonists fight the British?
5.What are the first 10 amendments to the Constitution?
6.Why does the flag have 50 stars?
The IO then went over the questions on the application and added the two dates that I traveled after applying for citizenship. The IO then put everything through the system and approved my applications. Once I got in my car and turned my phone back on I got a text that my status changed to "In line for Oath Ceremony"
I requested June 27, 2019 for my oath date as I have training for work the rest of this week and next.
As a side note, anyone doing their oath in Fort Myers, they do them on Tues and Thurs, mine will be a Thurs, but as I was waiting some people were coming into wait for their oath ceremony.
Good luck to all those who are still waiting and congratulations to all those who have been approved.

Hi - Good luck with your interview tomorrow (today now, officially past midnight).
One question for you- I looked back and saw that you listed your local field office as Fort Myers, FL when you filed in August 2018, but in your VJ timeline, it shows your local office as Tampa, FL. Which office are you going for an interview? I am just trying to gauge the timeframe for Tampa, FL office, if you are actually under that jurisdiction.
Again, Good Luck and Keep Us Posted.

@marcusfor4 - yes, if you go back into your account and click on the document tab, you will find “Case Snapshot,” along with list of files you have uploaded as evidence. The case snapshot is your Form N-400 if you download it.
