NOA2 approved on 7/18/18
 
We still can't believe that we were approved. Good luck to everyone and keep strong! We are all almost there....

Thank you! I should be clear, I checked the new USCIS website.  I’ve been checking all day yesterday since some people from our date were approved.  Even up to 2AM central time here in Canada (btw I’m the beneficiary)!  Still no update.  I checked at 5:30 AM and found the update!
 
I had to read it over 10 times to make sure it didn’t say RFE.
 
 

Just wanted to inform everyone we got our NOA2!!!  I took our chance to take a look!

It FEELS like things are slowing down- the reality is we don't know
VJ is like 3% of all applications to USCIS so even if EVERYONE here updated their profiles (which many do not), we still don't know how much work USCIS is putting here.
but yes- timelines across ALL immigration (AOS, EAD/AP, ROC, Citizenship) have slowed down and am not sure if things will pick up anytime soon.
 
So I suggest focusing on other things- like how you and your fiance will adjust when you get to USA and how to prepare for the interview stage. You are VERY close to an approval. Just hang on tight. It's coming!
 
Also- you can do your own mini scans with the USCIS case tracker app. Just put in your WAC number/numbers around it and it will show you what the status is on the 500 cases around yours

Tears of joy! We got approved! 😭😭😭 NOA1 Old site Jan 12 - New site Jan 18. We did apply to expedite a few weeks ago which may or may not have had something to do with approval eatlier than some other Jannies.

I have a rather silly question do I need to show the consulate an unabridged birth certificate or not.

Hello there, 100% with you, I believe for some of us beneficiaries the waiting is dreadful, but: from the beginning we all here knew how long the process will take, we are all different and handle anxiety in a different way, I got anxious of course, but when I am well aware that I have no control over things like this I try to put it on the side of my brain and think about other thinks.
 
Forums like this are great, but for what I have read I think it puts more stress to people. As I said, I strongly agree with Deehotstepper, those are the things we should be doing, preparing ourselves for the big change coming to our lives. And I am and april filer, still some months to go.

I called USCIS today because at the beginning of July I wrote a letter to USCIS to correct a typo .  I know they received the letter on the 5th, but I never received an acknowledgment of the letter or typo correction.  Long story short, they transferred me to Tier 2 immigration officer and I was prompted to schedule a call back.  Estimated call back time is 197 minutes.  I just thought that estimation is humorous lol.  

Really how nice! I am thinking Sept 10th for me to go and see my baby! If there is still slow movement then I am going Sept 10th no matter what....He doesnt know I am coming I have already arranged everything just have to get the ticket

Same girl same. My fiance is way more patient than me and my complaining about how long this process is has gone up tenfold this past week. Our only good thing is that we're going to see each other come NOA2 or not on Sept 1st.

Ladies, thank you for always keeping the good spirit here. I find myself quite frustrated lately... My date has been skipped over and that is not helping me to stay as positive as I would want to but I know there are so many earlier filers waiting as well... Just a little bit more time  And my fiancé is COMING TODAY which will definitely help me stay sane at least for this little bit while he's here

Janubees! lets keep hoping praying and staying positive!  I have made it a point to check the app and new website once a day as well as make sure I pay attention to my informed delivery because at one point I didn't believe I would hear anything but now that it is "our" turn I am making sure I don't skip that notification

It means  wink wink. shhhhh it's coming soon. That's USCIS code that she sees some activity on your case and you should know something soon but she can't tell you that or they may take her out back to face the firing squad.

We are on old side 8th Jan new side 10th still waiting

My NOA1 is on January 18. If yours is on the 16th and you were just approved I feel mine is coming soon. I’m so excited 😆 

I got the southern gal too! She did talk a lot and about halfway through I realized she wasn’t going to give me any new information.😅 I’m anxiously awaiting! I love hearing that other are getting approvals! It’s just so nice knowing that there is a site with others that have about the same date as mine!

i called the number too i got a southern gal, i could barely understand her, and she talks way too much, she was yapping  on and on about outside processing time and the fact that i didn't reach 7 months yet'. My heart was pounding out of my chest until she said no one has touched your case yet I had to be nice and just listen and nod so it doesn't affect my approval hahaha
