azblk is correct. I adjusted my status thru a marriage with a LPR inside the US. if your PD is current, you HAVE to HAVE a legal status to file i-485 and that's it. after filling i-485, you no longer hold ANY other status but a pending i-485. even if your PD is no longer current, you are still fine because you filled at the time when your PD was current and had a legal status at that point. after doing it, filling i-485, while PD is current, and being in a legal status, your new status is a pending i-485 until your i-485 is approved/denied.

I think it’s time for you to move on and forget about the English translation. Seems they received your RFIE and that’s why your status says : case is ready for an interview...

Update for other people that may go through what I did and can't find answers the same way I couldn't. 
It's been 18 days since USCIS updated to rsay they received my response for initial evidence.
My work permit updated to being produced yesterday and my I-485 updated 2 days ago to "was scheduled for interview". 
So shocked in already getting an interview! My clock didn't reset at all it was just temporarily put on hold. The website and customer service lines give wrong information, talk to a tier 2 officer if you ever get in my situation .

Hi guys, our interview is on 08/20. My wife will be out of town at that time. Can we reschedule the interview citing financial loss if we change the ticket now? Its international flight and damn expensive now to change it. Please help.

I got an RFIE on my I-485 after 6.5 months. When's I made an inquiry on my I-765 they sent me a letter to say that the clock is reset. So after 6.5 months my I-765 clock has been reset to day 0!!! So mad  

Got an update just now that my interview was scheduled and the notice mailed to me

No, you should definitely bring originals of all those documents. Leave the copies at home. Other people have traveled with copies and gotten the comment from CBP "you wouldn't travel with just a copy of your passport, right?"  The originals are watermarked and have other features that distinguish it as real that won't carry over to a copy.  Take originals.

A vacation planned outside the US without AP in hand is an emergency?   Huh?
 
You gambled on having AP and planned a trip outside the US.  This is not an emergency.  This is your failure to plan.
 
Sorry, but the reason you were sent home is that a planned vacation is not an hardship.  A vacation poorly planned without having AP is not an emergency for USCIS.  
 
Giving you Emergency AP does not prevent you from avoiding a financial loss.  The money has already been spent.  Giving you Emergency AP allows you to take a vacation outside the US.  Taking your vacation does not prevent a financial hardship to you.

I'll let you know at the end of August when I'll come back from Italy!

Just an update on this. I was able to use the AP card to re-enter the US no problem. I hope yours works as well italiansf!
