Hi Berries! Finally, my case got approved today! I am also a silent reader and I got tired of checking the case status everyday. Funny that it got approved the time that I didn’t check. I hope you get your approvals soon.

OK YOU GUYS MAJOR NEWS!!!
I was messing about being impatient, looking at the new service centre processing times site. In the top right corner it says you can log in, so I tried logging in with my regular USCIS account that I've been using on the site that looks like this but it wouldn't let me. So I spent a few minutes setting up a new account through the NEW login site that was linked from the new processing times site.
I put our case number in and it says WE'RE APPROVED!!!! There's no update on my old account or on the case tracker app so I'm still a bit hesitant to believe it, but I don't see any reason for them to put anywhere on their system that we were approved if we weren't right??
Edit: Is there a chance we're seeing so many silent NOA2s cause they're moving their whole system onto this new site perhaps?

No, the call was disconnected prematurely, so my fiancee is back in line again.
Just posted this on the main board but I'll post it here too:
1) told by Tier 2 on the 23rd February that our case is being processed.
2) wait for one week, contact Tier 2 and get told that an RFE was sent on the 22nd February.
3) wait for approximately two weeks, contact Tier 2 and get told that there was no RFE sent.
4) call Tier 2 the following day and get told that the RFE is internal and we won't receive anything.
5) eventually submit an inquiry about the elusive RFE and being outside normal processing times.
6) receive an email yesterday telling us that an RFE was sent out on the 22nd February, hence why we are "outside of processing times".
7) quickly receive another email in response to the elusive RFE, saying that on "03/08/2018, you contacted USCIS regarding a missing RFE, below is a summary of what we found: Your case is currently being adjudicated." What does this mean?
8) talked to a Tier 2 today and get told that there is no RFE on the system.

Getting married and filing for CR-1 will not solve the issue.

So according to tier 2, we don’t have a RFE on the system. I’m getting seriously annoyed now.

S_and_K_K1 reacted to JSWH in Need advice please- extremely unhappy wife & stepdaughter
OP, perhaps, I'm too late, but I would like to add my two cents.
First of all, I'm amazed at how quickly some VJ members jump to conclusions and how eagerly they give advice like "send them back." People are not purchases from Amazon that you don't like, they can't be just "sent back." It is flat out inhuman to say things like that.
Second, it is disheartening to see that the concept of "cultural humility" is so foreign even among immigrants and those who have immigrant spouses. The demands for new immigrants about quick and fully assimilation immediately after moving to the US are unreasonable and unrealistic for the majority of us. Acculturation is a long and painful process. Some it takes months, some spend years trying to adjust to their new country. Most immigrants go through severe mental challenges and need help with their adjustment. Guys, please be kind to each other!
OP, I believe I can understand what your wife is going through right now. I can relate to her low self-esteem and her anxiety regarding her limited English proficiency. It is normal but, at the moment, she might be not able to understand that due to her depression. Acquiring English skills as an adult is a slow process indeed, it takes patience and perseverance. However, it's entirely doable. I'm 45 now, and as you can see my English isn't perfect. Nevertheless, two years ago I couldn't write in English. Currently, I am enrolled in a Master's program in a big university and am doing well. Ever since I moved here, I struggled, cried, and questioned myself a lot. But I am fortunate to have my amazing husband by my side, who never gets tired of reminding me how smart I am and how much he believes in me. Marriage is a team project. It is a long project.
During past ten months, I learned a lot about coping with a culture shock. Should your wife wish to talk to someone who had the same experience, please PM me.
I sincerely wish the best to both of you.
