Just got notified that my interview has been scheduled!!! Only 5 days ago it updated to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” and now it has been scheduled! Just waiting for the letter now with the date on it. In other people’s experience how far out do they usually schedule the interviews, like when should I expect it to be - is it usually about a month away or can it be longer? I still haven’t got my EAD/AP so very very excited at the GC interview is coming up!

I’m in the same situation as you, I haven’t received or heard anything about EAD or AP but received my interview letter. I recieved a letter about my interview 6 days after the status changed online. And the time between my letter and actual interview date is 1month and 18 days. I think it might vary on how busy each office is etc but most people are roughly just over a month I think 😊

  2. Please don’t all think that the processing times for the green card are set in stone. Yes they are a guide but you can get lucky. I filed in late March and received my interview letter a couple of days ago. That’s 4 months. My interview is scheduled for early August so that’s 5 months pretty much in total if all things go well. The estimated processing time for my local office (Portland, ME) is 11-20 something months when I looked yesterday. There is hope 💜

  3. Received my interview notice yesterday. Received 3 letters from USCIS. First one said interview was scheduled for 30th August, second letter said it was cancelled and third one said I had a new interview for the 12th September! Can’t believe it’s happened this quick for us! Looks like we are going to have the green card before even receiving any EAD/AP which is a great thing. I hope everyone else who hasn’t heard anything has good news soon!!

I suggest going through this thread:

It has a lot of people's experiences and advice on how to go about it. My biggest advice is:

    1. If the job offer letter has an expiration date, point that out!!! Or even ask your future employer to add one so that USCIS sees that it's an urgent case.

    2. Provide copies of all your monthly expenses, bills, loan payments, credit card statements, anything that shows that you would be struggling if you didn't take the offer. Also, state how much your future income would contribute to your overall household income, as well as how much it would contribute to your expenses.

    3. Contact your congressperson and senator sooner rather than later and ask them too submit expedites on your behalf. Good luck!!

    Thankyou so much!!!!

A job offer isn’t enough anymore , your circumstances need to be severe in order to get your case expedited.

I had a job offer and my husband lost his job and they still rejected it. I still haven’t received a ssn because immigration  didn’t tick a box when I entered the country so I still can’t get health insurance/open a bank account , still rejected.

Still worth a try though +1-800-375-5283 give them you’re receipt number at the  top of your I-765 form.

Aww that really sucks, I’m so sorry your in that position!! Hopefully things will start to move for you, I can’t imagine being in situation. Thanks for the reply, will give them a ring. Won’t expect much but it’s worth a try I guess 😊

  6. Hi everyone, I’m applying from Maine (Portland my local office) I checked the app today and found this update!

My AP still says fingerprints were complete and my EAD says my case was received. Has anybody else had a similar thing happen? Does anyone have any sort of idea as to what I can expect with any progress? 😊

Did you submit ALL of the required documents below with EACH of your I485, I765 and I131:

    1) your passport bio page.

    2) your K1 Visa sticker and entry stamp which proves you entered on your K1.

    3) your I94 admission record which serves as the official record of when your 90 days started (your marriage certificate only proves when you married, not when you arrived so you need that to prove when the 90 days started).

    4) a photocopy of your K1 Noa2 Approval Notice that proves you were approved for a K1 petition by USCIS.

    On the I485:

    5) Did you fill out Page 4, Part 2 Question 3 with your "Receipt number of underlying petition" with your K1 Noa1 receipt number?

    6) Did you fill out Page 4, Part 2 Question 4 with your "Priority Date for underlying petition" with your K1 Noa1 receipt date?

If you did not do ALL of the above that is likely why....

Hi could i just ask where you would find the receipt number and priority date for questions 3 and 4, as listed above? I’m unsure.

Hi! You're right with your suggestion - the answer is "no" 😄 (your husband is USC; there is no need for him to apply with you (it's the logic behind the answer)).

I think it's better to re-check everything 1000 times than find a mistake later when the package is sent 😊

Thank you!! Also another question, slightly off topic but it’s in my AOS packet. You may be able to help...for my I-131 it asks you to tick your application type. I have selected ‘I am applying for advance parole document to allow me to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel’ is this correct? And is it correct you have to attach a piece of paper describing how you qualify for an advanced parole document and what circumstances warrant it, even though I have already wrote down on another question why I want to leave the US and when it will be?

  9. Hoping someone can help, I received my paper security card a few weeks ago. I’m applying for AOS along with I-765 and I am a bit stuck on Q13 and 14. It asks if I have ever officially been issued a Social security card to which I marked yes. It then asks me if I want the SSA to issue me a social security card? Would this be a yes or a no? I didn’t know if this would mean I get an updated card?

  10. I’m going to be a March AOS filer from Maine 🙂 but was just wondering if anyone could help me with something. On the form I-485 Q10. It asks if your current spouse is applying with you? And a yes or no box. I presume it’s a no as I am filing for the green card myself but just thought it was an odd question as we are both obviously in it together. I’m massively overthinking every question and would just  like some confirmation! Thanksssss

Looks like I had better find myself a good VPN provider asap then.  Are you aware if Kodi works here? I would love to access Sky 😉

Hmmm unsure about kodi but I’m sure there will be some answers on the web. What do you watch sky for? I know you can definitely buy now tv and have that on your phone/laptop and if you get the right lead you can have it on your tv too. I have that and currently pay £21.99 a month for sky sports and sky entertainment. You can cancel it when you like ( I cancel the sports when football season is over ) and get it back when you like, takes two seconds on your phone. Probably cheaper doing it other ways but that works for me. You can also buy sky sports day passes and weekly passes too.

Arhhh ok cool. And you use the VPN to access TIgers TV and pay for the match?

yeah, dont even need the vpn for tigers tv because they do it as a thing for overseas fans. But do watch a lot of uk stuff like shetland etc so use vpn for that and can watch bbc and itv live on the apps on laptop as long as vpn is on.

Yeah I keep my vpn on all the time on my phone, I prefer searching for everything on google etc and it’s United Kingdom based and I can always turn it off if I need something American. I watch the game on my fiancé’s laptop don’t need vpn for it. I mainly use vpn for I player, itv and footy bets
