What the hell are you talking about?
I just thought your reasons for not buying milk from this person were hilarious and bizarre.
    You made it oddly political.

Agreed, spend it with your fiance. It might be a while until he can go visit back home again.

I posted in regards to your other post, but I will answer here too. I have never had an issue crossing the border. I have driven to Seattle and parked my car there and flown to see my fiance. When I cross the border I just answer the questions as they're asked. Usually it's "where are you going, for how long, who are you visiting, how do you know each other" It's pretty straight forward and I've never had an issue. If they ask why are you flying from that particular airport, "because flights are cheaper". Always be honest and don't give them any more information than what they ask for.

And he would have been arrested. Real tough guy, I'm sure.
Physical violence is always the way to react when you see something you don't like!
Don't want to see two men holding hands, but let's physically assault two men in a restaurant. That's a good example for the lil ones.

This statement would hold water IF the woman knew she would have these life threatening complications well ahead of time in order to make other arrangements. By the time this woman started to have the complications which led to her death, uneccessarily because of this ridiculous law, it was far too late to do anything about it.

But then why are you so bent on blaming this on society's preconceived notions of right and wrong? Nobody forced Petraeus or Broadwell (or Allen or Kelley) to marry their respective spouses. Judging from the responses of their spouses, I don't think either was in an open relationship or cleared this beforehand. The vast majority of people prefer fidelity in their own relationships, even if they don't really care what other people do in theirs. This isn't society forcing individuals to do something. This is each individual thinking about what he or she wants in his/her own relationship. I imagine that even many people that are unfaithful would prefer that their partner be faithful (except in the case where that might help them alleviate some of their guilt). I'm just trying to understand why you want to blame society for the fact that most people strive for monogamous relationships. It's just what most people prefer for themselves, even if it doesn't always work out. It doesn't seem like you are any different.
I do think that marriage means certain things in terms of fidelity. To clarify, sex with another is always infidelity although infidelity doesn't always involve sex (I don't think this belief is way out in left field). And when someone else with ostensibly the same expectations and understandings of marriage breaks that, I won't defend him or her by blaming society and hetero-monogamy or whatever else. The Bible, the vast majority of grownups in marriages, and I all agree. If two adults want to get together in their marriage and change their expectations through mutual agreement, no one should stop them. I suppose you would have a case to say that's not cheating. But that's quite clearly not what happened here (or hardly anywhere else). It's the sort of hypothetical that makes for good TV and arguments but doesn't really have much of an intersection with reality.

Are you privy to other information than what is in the original article? If not, it clearly states two reasons given by the hospital for not performing the abortion, one of which is religion.
This was refused, he says, because the foetal heartbeat was still present and they were told, this is a Catholic country."

My wife isn't particularly "hot" and doesn't speak much English. I'm no prize either. I'd never leave her for anyone. My first girlfriend in Thailand was a smoking hot 19 year old. She was fun, but I never would have married her for that. Plus at the end of the day she only wanted money.
If I want to shag a young hot girl, I'll hit the go-go bars next time I'm in Thailand for a short time.
When I ended up broke and unemployed in Thailand, my wife supported me on $175 a month while all her friends and family told her to get rid of my sorry broke ####. She stuck by me. That's "HOT" in my mind.

No one is criticizing your wife or her accomplishments. I think they're all great and kudos to her, really. As a Canadian woman I have asked other Canadian women who have married Americans what their experiences are too. Even though we may speak the same language, moving to America is still a culture shock. We're all equal here - people are responding negatively to your arrogance; again, no one is slamming your wife.

Is Mitt not responsible for losing the race? Are the Republicans not responsible for him losing by forcing him so far to the right during the primaries that regular people just couldn't get themselves to support him in the general election? Damn, I gotta become a Republican. Republicans are only responsible if they succeed and always get to blame someone else when they fail.
