Yeah i just read that.

I live in Delhi and considering only 4 locations in india can do medical for this K-1, I have to travel to Mumbai. Might as well go to Mumbai instead of gujarat. It sucks cuz the New Delhi embassy is 30mins awayfrom my house and now I have to travel this far to get visa and medical too and cuz of medical I might have to travel twice, unless I’m missing soemthing and someone has a better plan. Where do you live?
Yes that make sense. But plan it so that you are in Mumbai for 2 to 3 days so you can collect the report and go.
It sucks that you cant do the interview in Delhi.
This is your best option, but if your medical and interview are aligned close to each other then try to finish off everything and go.
and after the interview I guess there is also an option of sending your passport back to your home address instead of you collecting it personally. They charge 500 Rs for that.
Go for it cause it can take up to 10 days to get the passport back after the interview.
I actually live in Mumbai so thank god i dont have to go through all this.
If you need any help when you are in Mumbai hit me up!

Hey, thanks for your response. This helps. I might get my PCC. For medical I have to travel to Mumbai. Do you know if medical can be done long time before interview or is there a time limit to it too that if needs to be done few days before interview?
I actually called up Rele clinic in Mumbai just today to ask the same. They told me medical can be done 10 to 15 days before the interview.
and btw why are you travelling to Mumbai for medical? did you check the list of hospital to see if anything else is near to you? where do you live?

@Greenbaum help!!! My case is ready and I called up consulate to know what my next steps are even though I know them cuz of their website and other sources including you. But now the consulate is saying to wait until I receive the packet to proceed further with any steps. Is this a standard response is that really a case? Also, the medical people say I need a letter and PCC say that they need a letter too. Why does these steps have to suck so bad in my country cuz I know most of the people here on forum already filled DS-160 and scheduled interview without waiting for package. Does this mean the medics and PCC in their country didn’t care about letter from embassy?
@Swissmiss82 @h&y heartiest congratulations for the next steps!!! 👯♂️👯♂️
Hey i dont think you need to wait to get the packet..i know few ppl from India who carried on with booking the interview date and medical the moment it said ready. I would say you go ahead and book the interview date since getting a good date for Mumbai embassy is always a big problem.
As for medical you just need to show them the interview confirmation date and for PCC you can just show them the NOA2.
I showed the NOA2 and got my PCC few days back.

Usually how long does it take for the NVC to send the case to embassy after assigning the case number?
My case number was assigned on 5/4/2018 and it still shows that the case is at the NVC.

First of all - my congratulations!!! My noa 1 is also on 29 September. And could you explain me about change account- I check my case status on site Uscic? without any emails
Thank you so much!
So last week we came to know about a new login page for USCIS.
I think its a part of their new revamped website. we noticed that there are several updates in cases which were not seen in the old account.
Here is the link for creating the new account- https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
Create your account here.
In my case i got my approved status only in the new account and not in the old page. Not even in my USCIS app.
So i would suggest you to create a new account and check your status there.
It looks like they approved many September 29th cases yesterday.
If you need any help please feel free to ask me.
I hope you get your approval soon

Average time is 8-20 days. I would start calling a week from the date of your approval and every day after. (At least that's what I'm doing)
Thank you so much
