My wife's application was received in Texas August 4, but still no notification by text or email and the check hasn't been cashed as of 8/18. 😳
From what I have found from the timeline search function, we are approaching the more extreme limit of wait times for people submitting to Texas in the past coupled months.
Neither have I. Mine was received on aug 6th... no email yet. Don’t think I’m going to get a message since we’re overseas but I’m starting to worry 😑

Anyone here who is also filing from overseas? Due to military or other?

Hi guys,
Joining this thread as I am sending in my I-751 petition tomorrow. Doing some last minute stress checking and writing up a cover letter that feels harder than it should. Also sending mine in at the last possible moment before my green card expires. Anyone else here filing extremely close to the deadline? No judgement please, I have a one year old and don't live near family. Time goes so fast when you have a toddler!
Hi there, I did. I send mine out on July 29th from overseas, received on AUG 6 and my GC expired on the 8. Just had a baby so that’s my reason for filing last moment

You would add the photos online at the same area you added a photocopy of your green card. I assume you are a military spouse or a spouse of a US government employee.
Yes sir, mil spouse
alright, thank you!
Did you do it that way? -

Hey Guys, for those who filed online from overseas how did you submit your photographs?
I know i'm supposed to do that but I'm not sure how since it doesn't ask for it at uploads.
Thanks a lot :)

I had the interview this morning and got approved. Thank you all for your support over the last year. What a journey.
It definitely helped me to read all your advice. I am even more surprised that I really didn't get many questions asked - it was more like a conversation. The consular officer didnt want to see any additional documents such as pictures, letters, emails, text messages or anything at all. She asked me
1. where and when we met for the first time
2. Which year (I had only mentioned the month and date not year)
3. When was the last time I had seen him
4. She asked me how many biological children I had
5. If they wanted to come along (my husband did not petition them because they do not want to come for now - they don't like to move and keep saying that they want to wait until my husbands military career is over)
6. She commented that "this must be tough for you"
7. She asked me how the stepchildren and my son and daughter get along
8. She asked me how old they are.
I believe that is it. The hardest part was the wait time of almost two hours between handing over the original documents and the interview.
But I was totally nervous. The guy in front of me could not get approved now (I am not sure what happened). And I made my daughter one year older by accident as she is. Her and I were talking about her upcoming new school year and all the excitement laying ahead with her 9th birthday being part of it. Next thing you know is that I made her a year older than she should have been. I can totally see how people start forgetting things and mixing up dates and numbers alone. Although the visa was approved, I would have much preferred my husband to be there with me but he couldnt leave.
Oh -I forgot the link under which one can upload the documents and track the status. What happens next? How do I find out when I will get the passport back?
If they already have your medical docs it will take no more than 7 days. Had my Interview in Frankfurt on the 18th and got the passport yesterday.
And... Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈 very very happy for you

Congrats. I though NVC schedules interviews at least a month in advance, so people have time for medical and collecting needed documents.
Thank you!
Yeah, you’re right, thought the same. But checked the last few German timelines (well, there aren’t many) they’re the same. Good thing, I already scheduled my medical 3 weeks ago for Friday this week. NVC Case Nr. is enough for Munich Doctor.
I also already gathered all necessary documents

I got mine, too! July 17th. My husband asked if we could have one a week later - keep your fingers crossed as we have an international family reunion that day.... If all fails, I'll take that day. Too bad we are not on the same day, we could have waited together.
I’m sorry and I hope everything will work out for you guys! I‘ll Squeeze my dumbs for you of course.
Yeah.. would have been pretty cool to not have to wait alone. Did you already schedule your medical? If yes, where will you go?
All the best and please keep me updated!

Quick question to everyone - what does the question of "who is calling you" mean? Who is literally calling the person interviewed?
Funny .. I thought the same everytime I read it and I actually asked my hubby this morning. Something like „Wer fordert dich an“ /. „Wer ordert dich da hin“
Does this help you?

Do you both know when they tend to schedule interviews for Germany? I asked last night and they said early in the month - whereas I thought it was mid month.
I thought mid month as well. But when I checked old timelines it was like whenever someone got CC it never took them longer then a week or so to get an appointment.
25 minutes ago, heythereluna said:I only know that when I called two days ago, the operator said that they were still scheduling July interviews.
Did they mean interviews or Frankfurt Interviews explicit? 🙈😄
Oh man, I can‘t wait for this to be finally over!

@heythereluna I just saw you‘ll have your interview in Frankfurt. Me too. Just got CC yesterday. May I ask, did you get any informations from them so far? Thank you very much in advance for your response ☺️
