    Dear friends
I applied my VAWA in May 2018 no RFE straight to approval on feb 2020

then I got an RFE in the month of Feb 2021 in I-485 regarding the medicals I submitted
the  medical and today I got my green card.

but in this long journey first my younger sister passed away in the month of November 2020 and then with 17 days time my father passed away in December 2020 and I can not even travel to attend their funerals.

I have a question that now my mother and younger sister is alone in my home country can I sponsee then or at least apply a visit visa for them.

    need some suggestions

@Mortaldreams 18months, no RFEs, 2PFs doesn't sound bad at all... they are probably moving towards your approval since they apparently do not need closure from you at this time! Just wait for your good news it's coming.. and for everyone here who is expecting, wondering when or discouraged, please don't be.. GOD is NOT man and man can never be GOD! Hold on and keep your eyes on GOD only. I pray this new thread will deliver your long awaited blessings!!!🙏🙏❤🎊🎉🎊🙌

Folks I know this thread is about VAWA,but  I need a healing  prayer for  a friend  with COVID. She had a baby 4 days ago, she doesn't even know that she had a C-section, and she has a  baby boy. She is in a coma and intubated, and unfortunately her kidneys stopped working and they started yesterday  dialysis. Her case needs a miracle, second the doctors. Her name Nadia, she is a pastor and very young (34 years old).I believe in the power of prayer. Thank you everyone .

Maybe this will help give you strength and reassurance.. someone here received 5RFEs fast forward they have their GC now! I received 3REFs and I have my GC as well! Your response should address everything USCIS raised.. build your response around it! The first time I read my RFE, I burst into tears mainly because I didnt have anything more than what I already gave but once I calmed down and went to work on building my response based on all issues raised my hope was restored! I know you can do it too my friend!😊👍

    HI,

I had exactly same situation, but my case was prepared by attorney.  and i still received RFE for good fait marriage,

    This is what i had.
    - 4 Pictures
    - Marriage certificate
    - Costco Membership Card
    - Flight Booking ticket
    - Affidavits from friends.
    - Psychologist Letter to prove that i was mentally abused.

After submitting all these documents i got RFE in Good Faith Marriage and Joint Residence
    - I did not have any extra proof so my lawyer suggested that i get extremely detailed affidavit from friend.
    - I got Affidavit from, My friend, 1 of Her Friend and 1 Neighbor. ( All 3 People had submitted their government ID as well )

These affidavits described how we met, how we fall n love, when and how we got married, what was out life before marriage and after marriage.

This is a google search and go for images you will find many decision letters provided by explaining why they did not approve particular case. I went through almost 50 of these letters so i know what to write and what not to write in affidavits,

I responded to my RFE on Nov, 23-2020. and i got my vawa approved in Feb-25th.

read as many notices you can make your story compelling and very detailed.

    Good Luck

If you got a fee waiver for the I-485, then yes, you either have to submit another I-912 fee waiver or pay the AP/EAD fees when renewing. In this case unless you plan to travel you can just renew the EAD and ignore the AP to save some money.
If you paid for I-485, then no, the EAD/AP renewals will be free.

You're almost there my rfe for good moral character was received 07/20/20 and on 08/03/2020 they approved my i360. And then fast forward last January 26, 2021 had the AOS interview  and got the GC one week after. So basically 5 months after VAWA approval I got the GC. Yours might be faster. Hang in there!

Guys I cannot believe it has been exactly 365 days since my petition was received, I swear it doesn't feel like it, I just wanted to come in on this day and tell you beautiful women and men thank you for this community, truthfully I don't know what the story would have been had I not come across this forum and got a chance to interact with you guys and miss @sandranj. You guys are truly God sent and I pray that the Almighty God meets each and everyone of you at the points of your needs. To everyone who got approved, congrats, to everyone who is so close, your moment of joy and breakthrough is here, and to those of us who still have some time to go, may God grant us the patience, and to those of you just starting or about to start the journey, may the good Lord, give you the courage and put your helpers on your path.

im sept 2019 filer, after that guy who just got approved whose pd is aug 2019,
i just have this feeling my approval is coming soon.

i also have a reasoning,  is there a pre-review done by the officers in about 2-10months inorder to issue rfe,
i mean most rfe i see are usually within 2-10 months. does it mean the officers starts reviewing our files  within those time frame and when there is no reason for rfe, it is pre-approved already? and placed in  a queue  for approval within 18-22months,
does it mean if you dont have any rfe within those 2-9 months,  means its a good sign that you have scaled the rfe phase, and heading for approval?

gurus in the house..what do you think

    Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year to all and I hope you’re all staying safe. Update: I had my beautiful little boy, married my best friend and filed to update my name on my green card by myself, versus waiting until citizenship to change my last name. For everyone that’s going through the journey, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t let negative thoughts or fear consume you. Congratulations to all the new approvals. Remember every victory is one step closer to your journey. I have a feeling that things will move faster with the new president. Please stay safe with the pandemic and know you got this.

Hi guys I'm not a frequent person here on this site I just browse through occasionally. But I had to leave my info here so persons will feel encouraged and know that their time of approval is coming. Just stay strong and don't just depend on your lawyers to push your case for you because you are just another case that they have even though they maybe trying their best to assist you. Reach out to your representatives because they'll assist you. Just google your nearest representatives their information will come up! Wishing everyone a speedy approval.

    @BergamoHi buddy
Lawyer sent my RFE response to USCIS on Dec 7 2020
Status updated on Dec 30th - on Saturday of all days!!!
    Nothing since
So for me it took 23 days. Hang on, dear! Your update is near. Just remember, after waiting for this update it could take another year until we hear about our cases again. Be strong!!! 💪🙌😘

BTW I've got a paper stimulus check from IRS on Mon Jan 4th. As far as I know, whoever did not get a deposit or a check, can subtract the amount when doing tax return. If you did not file return for 2018, 2019 or won't file 2020, there was a way to sign up on IRS account and request the payment. Check online exactly what's best the situation that applies to you. Can't wait to hear someone brag  here with success stories 🤓

On another note, any recent EAD/combos approved?
    PD 7/24/2020 initial full package
    Bio 11/30/2020 Philly

Thanks in advance, Fam! May the approvals be with you! 🤩
