Dear all I am happy to share this wonderful news with my Vawa family. Today I checked my case status and saw this update. Below is my timeline. April 2019: filed I-360 June 2019: filed I-485 and EAD August 2019: first EAD approved. March 2021: EAD (C31) mailed. April 2021: VAWA approved. June 2021: Initial travel document approved July 2022: EAD+advance parole approved December 2022: info pass appointment at NYC field office. They told me they mailed RFE to lawyer. January 2022: received RFE for medicals February 21st 2023: New Card is being produced. I want to thank each and everyone of you for the support, the laughs, the moral support received through this forum. T-bone for the jokes, Stillwinning for the positive and uplifting words, Sandra our beloved legal resource, Balo101, and all the others. For those still waiting, your day will come soon as Our Lord works HIS own schedule. Keep the faith.

Hi @balo101 NYC filier here. I filed I-360 in April 2019 approved on April 2021. I485 transferred to Queens filed office in August 2021 according to lawyer. Fingerprints in October 2021. Since then radio silence no rfe for medicals or interview notice. Still waiting, my lawyer said. my case is still within normal processing times. Starting to worry to be honest the wait is nerve wracking

Congratulations! The same thing happened to me in the summer. I applied to C31 category last February and AP separately but when the card came it was a combo C09 card EAD+AP valid for two years. I guess the two years validity is what made them change the category. They used the receipt number for the C31 application like they did with you. Did you apply for AP also? Did you get a combo card?

Yes I paid for both forms. I got a fee waiver when I submitted my I485.

You were right my dear. It is indeed a combo card. EAD category is 09P even though I applied for c31. Thanks

They gave me a combo card valid for two years.

Hi all a quick update: I have received the EAD and AP and it is indeed a combo card valid for two years. Even though I have applied for a C31 renewal they decided to change the category and based it on the pending I-485. Some of you were right though. Thanks again to everyone and I hope we see many more approvals.

We have the same approval then. here is my timeline 04/2019 i360 filed 06/2019 i485 and i765 filed 03/2021 EAD C31 produced 03/2019 I485 transferred 04/2021 i360 approved 10/2021 fingerprints taken 07/2022 EAD and AP renewed

You think so? I am really hoping it is. But the EAD is category C31. Funny thing is I had an info pass appointment on June 8th and they gave me a paper AP because I was travelling a week later. In case it is not a combo card, I will have two AP valid for one year and expiring one month apart. I currently have paper AP valid until June 2023 which I used to apply for visa and come to Paris. At least I will get two years EAD which is great.

Indeed that what it shows but don't let it discourage you. I got my AP and EAD approved in 4 months.

I havent contacte congressman because I figured they are still running background/security checks. Based on what I have seen on this forum it is common practice for NYC to schedule interview or ask for ref around 18 months or even two years after approval. But I will put in a service request next month though

Hello all, Although I don't connect often I have been a silent follower of this valuable forum. Congratulations to all the approved and those waiting keep faith the day is coming soon. I filed for ead renewal (C31) and AP (I131) on February 2022 and today both cases got approved. I-485 is still pending 16 months after I-360 approval (NYC queens).
