Checking everything in Archives is the most important advice you can give, My fiancé interview was back in September, he didn't have his official divorce documents nor mines, When I first sent in the application I included a document I received from the judge stating my divorce was official, I thought that was a divorce license not knowing I was suppose to get an actual certificate, I wish I received an rfe for those documents instead of being told this at the interview, anyways long story cut short they asked my fiancé for both our divorce certificates along with his marriage license which was weird, he received both in December even though he was told copies take a month. both of his documents had spelling errors in his name we had to submit it into "judgement" the divorce certificate came back good all the way in January due to all the chaos and protest and the marriage  one came back with the same issue, we paid for it again and finally got it back on Tuesday of this week. He turned everything into DHL on Wednesday and now I'm just waiting for the embassy to get the documents. This has been a nightmare. we lost so much money and trying to expedite this process. the first guy he went to told him these things take 3 months some time to get documents because there's no organization in government offices. we thought he was lying but now I see it was the truth. this took almost 5 months!

Correct they don't these same rules carry on to the NVC, trust me been there did that, Im speaking from experience not from assumption, the Embassy operates by the same guidelines as well. If that was a reason to expedite don't you think everyone visa would of been sent to the front of the line in which would lead to an unorganized operation? Realistically speaking its not an ground to expedite, I had a serious reason to submit an request with the help of my senator and the same reason USCIS gives the NVC gave along with the Embassy when I tried to get an earlier appointment even though the country were I applied for had an emergency evacuation for all American Citizens it still did not meet the "Crisis Criteria"

You can not expedite a visa for those reasons what so ever. USIS only expedite visa's for the reasons listed below:

Severe financial loss to company or person; Emergency situation; Humanitarian reasons; Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States; Department of Defense or national interest situation (These particular expedite requests must come from an official U.S. government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to the government.); USCIS error; or Compelling interest of USCIS.
You have to remember everyone that applies would want nothing more for their spouse to be with them for their anniversary, holidays & etc. 99% of applicants would file a motion to expedite in which would lead to no form of order in the processing time frame. Hope this explanation helps. USCIS also has these reasons listed on their website as well at https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

Heres the list of steps you need until your NOA2

    1. Submit the I-29f with supporting documents such as
    Proof of Relationship
    Pictures
Proof of visits ( Hotel & Flight itinerary's)
    Proof of passport stamps

    2. Wait for NOA2 takes about 6-7 months to get a response so hang in tight.

    3. Once approved fill out the DS-160, you can fill it out for him or have him fill it out, remember if you fill it out for him do not submit it, once you get to the last page click on save and have him go in and submit it once you receive the NVC case number. Its critical that its submitted from Haiti from what I hear they track IP address and your Geolocation.

    4. Next thing is to send him a copy of the approval letter and have him get the police report, heard the wait time for it is around 15-30 Days and they require a copy of the visa approval.

    5. upon receiving the case number from the NVC which took 12 Business days submit the DS160

    6. NVC to ready is trending to take approximately 14-20 days and approximately 3-7 Business days to reach Haiti. (I was told by an NVC rep that they send the files electronically now a days so it actually takes 1 business day to be received but the update on the site is often delayed)

    7. Once it says In transit or ready feel free to pay the Visa fee ($265) in Haitian Money only they will not accept U.S currency, you won't be able to schedule the appointment until the following morning at 9am. When you login to the website to schedule the interview it will say you have an receipt on file or something within that term just click on it and it will bring you to the scheduling page.

    8. Once you schedule the interview make plans to do the medical 2 weeks prior to the interview. As it can not be more than 2 weeks old. Medical is $260

For the interview he will need
    1. 6 passport pictures
    2. The I-134 along with either your W2's or a work verification letter from your HR stating your yearly income and employment status
    3. Medical
    4. Birth certificate
    5. Police Report
    6. Any updated information such as WhatsApp chat logs/ pictures from recent trips/ hotel, flight information and etc.
    7. Any divorce paperwork if theirs any
    8. Passport
    9. Copy of the DS160, Appointment letter, NOA2 approval letter.
***  They will most likely question him about your employment history, how long you been employed there, your job title and your job descriptions***

Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything. I have included a copy of Packet 3 to this response as well. Also I recommend you a sending a email to the Haiti consulate to receive your packet 3 via email once your case status is set to Ready at the NVC.

So my status at NVC just updated to In transit! So maybe my time line isn’t too eager.

Another question though, did anyone book a medical appointment or did your beneficiary just show up with their necessary documents?

I took the chance and scheduled the interview when the status still said at NVC because I did not want to risk having to schedule an interview all the way in September, luckily everything happened real quick for me lol or I would of been panicking. I had my fiancé asked one a friend of an embassy worker if scheduling the interview before it said ready was a risk they stated only if the interview date was right around the corner and it was still at the NVC, and that even if that is the case to change the interview it at least one week before the scheduled date.

So far I have this information about the medical, not 100% sure how up to date this information is the last update was on June of last year.

For an adult it is around $150.00(USD) + vaccines; $45.00(USD) for children under the age of 15 +additional cost of any needed vaccines. Recent example of parent and child cost for medical (as of January 2014 at Dr. Buteau) was $550-USD. NOTE: Vaccines are no longer a requirement for this consulate although they are highly recommended prior to traveling to the States as the cost is less.
