Same. My husband owns his house I just moved in too

It was even worse for me because I came in K-1. Took 5 months after arrival to get work permit. At least with CR-1, you are ready to rock after coming in. But really,  it boils down to how much you know about the person you are marrying. Him on a vacation may not be the same as him in his natural environment.

I am filipino too. A lot of USD earners are very much overwhelm with the spending power they have in PH because of PHP's monetary value. Some who are broke here in US can live like a king in PH. Thus, the assumption and expectations start to build over them.

When I arrived, my U.S. spouse bought a 2002 class a motor home with slid outs and 2 1/2 acres of land outside the city. The total cost was $13,000 and $12 a year for property tax.

It is very serious, passport and green card taken means the USCIS employee will probably give them to ICE or any immigration authority for to cancel not only the Citizenship application but also his green card and to deport him, as well his wife. The OP needs a lawyer, there will be probably criminal charges and Court for him because he is / was harboring an illegal alien. The government also could get his house, cars and his accounts. Sorry

Harboring -- Subsection 1324(a)(1)(A)(iii) makes it an offense for any person who -- knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation.
If convicted in Court, he could face 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine

A lawyer is not going to be able to change the fact that the wife entered the country illegally, or change immigration law as it applies to her.
If she is under expedited removal, deported, or given the option of voluntary departure, the wife will have no legal choice but to go back to Mexico, automatically trigger 10 year bar, then apply for the waiver from Mexico once she is sponsored the legal way.  There is nothing she can legally do to adjust status from within the US, due to her crossing the border without inspection, and as mentioned before she cannot apply for the waiver from inside the US.

The husband faces the real possibility of having his citizenship denied...in that case, he can continue as a LPR and sponsor her once she is back in Mexico.

You need to stop giving wrong advices. Yes the wife will need a waiver once she go back to the Mexico because she will have 10 year ban. But this cannot be done from within the US.

If wife gets deported then OP should consider moving to the Mexico for few years. Because this will not be a fast process. Not to mention who knows if his citizenship will be denied or not.

Son needs to be 21 to sponsor mother.

Plus it doesn't matter since the mother is apparently undocumented. Means she cannot adjust status in the US at all. Ever.

She'd would need to go back to Mexico. Face the 10 year ban and then start the sponsoring process.

Sorry this might not be the popular opinion but the officer at the interview had a right to react that way about the illegal person.

I agreed.   The key is to pray for the right person, giving them the benefit of the doubt..signing any federal documents aren't so easy on their part. We are waiting for the approval and will go to our next step.  One step at a time.  And be humble to admit our weakness.  Let's wait upon the Lord, our God reigned forever.  Let's not lose hope on this.  It will make our marriage more stronger as we put our trust in Him.   It didn't run smoothly at first, rough times was inevitable but its all worth it by God's grace slowly getting there again.

As far as we know yes.  We did this processed before but getting a joint sponsor was hard to tarry those days.  If God permitted those days we first processed my green card, and had a joint sponsor, we wouldn't be here in this forum anymore.  But, God is good.  He is in control, He is our sponsor, He already provided, we just need to do our part by faith this will be done according to His will. And we are glad meeting you all :).

    Hi Eiramana,

Good day!  Waiting is the hardest thing to do.  Either it makes us impatience or being more patience. Had a shared of the latter.  USCIS Manila many times, and same response we received to wait. Even called USCIS main (long distance) but voice prompt and waiting for the agent to answer was causing us so much phone bills. So, today we will choose to be more patience on them just like my husband was saying, "its good to wait and be patient".

    It produces more fruits.

I've  been tracking some of the post and people who experienced a speedy processed filed their papers last quarter of 2016 were those who mostly experienced a weeks approval or shorter.  But for some who filed it last December to January of this year, the processed took them a month or within 30 days as USCIS Manila were advising us.  So, I suggest let's keep our bar of expectation higher and be praying for each of us.

Filed ours last February 3 of this year

Today February 24, 2018 I wrote an email to the public schools in Kennewick Washington where we are going, asking them for information on registering the kids in the school's in Kennewick. I am now working on the Domicile requirement! Any information I can get on registering the kids in school I will include with our interview materials, and that will help with the Domicile requirement!

We filed today. Everything went great with encouraging words from the USCIS officer.Filed our DCF in Manila today. We are praying for fast approval. They told us 30 to 60 days. We are hoping 30 day or less. We were told to listen to our phone and watch for an email! So we will do that! Now it is time to get ready for the interviews! We need to be thorough and work hard and make it good!

Hi Good day.  Thank you for this very informative forum.  We would like to know if petitioner/applicants from this forum encountered this kind of response from USCIS Manila after days of filing the I-130?

"Thank you for contacting USCIS Manila. Your I-130 petition is currently lined up for review. Please note our adjudication process takes 30 to 90 days upon receipt. You will be notified in writing as soon as final determination is completed."

Our DCF for I-130 was filed and accepted by USCIS Manila last February 3, 2017.

    Thank you so much,

    Interesting...

"I have found another woman who wants to marry me and come to the USA" - sounds like you are getting involved with these women purely for them to gain immigration benefit. Especially given the speed at which you were ready to bring a new wife here after the failure of the previous relationship. It failed the first time but it looks like this latest one got what she wanted.

You don't hold hold the keys to the country. You don't decide who does and doesn't live here. If she has a green card, she can stay until she dies.

My concern is this - you have a child who is a USC, presumably. Why do you want to ban the mother of your child from living in the country of your child's birth? What would that achieve for your child? What kind of father would do that? No matter how much you hate your wife, you should love your child more. For the sake of the child, don't even attempt to stop her returning. If she stays in Pakistan the child would be forced to stay there. But your child is an American. Why the heck would you do that to your child? Are you really that heartless?
