thank you
did you send any bank, credit card, utilities statements? any insurance documents?
We sent bank and credit paperwork saying we were both account owners, legal name change requests, etc but no transaction history or statements. We did send in rental agreement and phone bills/statements. No insurance paperwork however since we don’t have any. Just car insurance which we did include. Lol

Would you share what proof you sent with your i-751 application?
Christmas/birthday/anniversary cards, tax statements from the past 2 years, photos of us together and with family Or friends, 2 written statements from friends saying we are a legit couple, random Mail we have received with our name showing we live together, I think maybe a few other things but those are the main things I can think of

Sent March 22nd, 2021 (via priority mail USPS, so was delivered in Phoenix 2 or 3 days later)
Hubby received a text today (April 14th, 2021) saying his case was received with a receipt number, and to expect a paper notice in the mail!
Received Paper NOA1 Today (April 16th, 2021) - 18 Month Extension.
Our service center is Texas, looks like 5 to 15.5 month process times according to USCIS page. Not sure how long processing realistically is, need to see if theres a thread or something floating around visajourney.
Also our receipt starts with "SRC" - not sure what that means.

Also a side note rant, I hate that I printed out countless papers for this interview that the officer didn’t need nor check.
RIP to the ink and paper that was used.
I spent so long organizing binders and buying supplies for the interview, and all they took were like 2 things LOL

Good luck! We got an RFE in february and then sent back our response before the deadline, but never heard anything back about or EAD/AP lol. Even now that our green card is approved, still no updates. But I'm pretty sure that once we have the green card those forms/cards won't matter! At least from my understanding. I haven't researched it fully, but best of luck to you! You'll be there soon!

Interview experience:
Our AOS interview today seemed to go well. The officer just asked us questions about how we met, and the general timeline of how things happened. He also asked some random chit chat questions and took some photos from our album and our housing agreement. He didn’t ask to take anything else we brought.
HOWEVER at the end of the interview he asked for passport photos, 1 from the US citizen and 2 from the immigrant. I didn’t see this on our list or have heard of this on other posts here, but he mentioned it was something new that was required? Not sure. Luckily we had some passport photos back in the car and gave those to him.
He didn’t say if we were approved but said it all looked good!
around 5pm today I checked and it said our card is being produced, so we have been approved!!

Where ? Please share your experiences and what are you preparing for documentation?
Tucson AZ, everything that is on the interview letter list itself + christmas cards, photos, insurance papers, phone/house agreements, birth certificates, etc. basically the same stuff they've asked for 100 times but you have to keep providing over and over lol. I will update here with my experience of the interview itself once its over with

Hi, this is Audaud;s father. My opncern is, if I fill out a new Affidavit of Support for grandmother, the income will be different. Still plenty to cover (now reduced) income requirement. The death was less than two weeks ago, so not enough time to figure out what the new income will be. Should I use the same income, as reported on last tax return? Interview in two days...

Hi all - My husband's AOS interview is on the 12th. Unfortunately, my grandfather, who was our joint sponsor during this process, passed away a few days ago.
My grandmother (his wife) is willing to be our new joint sponsor and help us fill out new paperwork before the interview.
Would it be best for us to just take my grandmothers paperwork to the interview and explain the death in the family, or do I need to mail the new documents somewhere else? Do I need to bring a death certificate? Also lastly - will changing my support to my grandmother stall our case?
Thank you to anyone who can provide some insight to this. I'm fairly certain we will just need to bring the new documents to the interview, but wanted to ask on here as always.

So my interview is on the 12th, but we have not received any updates on our EAD or AP... will those come before the 12th? or will they come when our green card is mailed to us?

I need to amend my tax return, but my interview is next week (the 6th). Is this going to be a huge issue during the interview? Do I just take my incorrect/old return in case they ask for it, or should I just not bring it? Filed jointly married. I know its not a "required" item to bring, but its on the list of possible/recommended things to bring, so unsure what to do. Thanks everyone!!

I'm curious to see everyones list of documents/proof they are taking to the interview, does anyone care to share? Mine is coming up in about 2 weeks, and I've started to gather things, but wanted to see everyones input here too. Esp for people who have gone throgh their interview already! What were some of the most important things you took?

What kind of visa is your mother in law trying to get, and where is she from originally?

How important are tax returns during the interview?

Congrats!! 😃 Our green card interview is next month. How did yours go, what questions did they ask? Did they ask for a lot of paperwork at your interview? (ps. please tag me if you reply, for some reason my notifications are being a bit odd - thanks!)
Ours would have been much sooner but we took a bit of time responding to a RFE lol.. oh well!
