Hey guys! Just to give some hope... I woke up this morning to a wonderful approval for our I-130. Our NOA-1 was 12/27/17 with a NOA-2 approval date of 7/16/18, Nebraska service center. I stressed for months as we did not send any evidence of a bonafide marriage; pictures, flights, letters, etc It was approved anyhow. So for those of you worried about sending a ton of proof, it’s not always necessary. We did not expedite our case either.
thats great! make sure you have a lot of evidence at the interview stage though. I heard the Canadian embassies are super intense. Good luck with the rest of the process. My husband is also Canadian but we are filing through Poland since we are living here temporarily.

It is taking 8 to 10 weeks. I would say call back in a month. Once you are past 8 weeks mark, call everyday.
My case took 3 weeks to get case # and invoice id

Once the noa2 has been approved how soon does the letter arrive? And do you have a deadline to get the affidavit finances over to the nvc? And will the uscis send our case there? Sorry for all the questions lol thanks
Unfortunately it will be another period of waiting before NVC actually receives the documents from USCIS and enters into their system to generate a case number and Invoice ID. While you are waiting for all of that you can read up on the NVC process and get all of your documents in order so they are ready when things start to move along. Please see the links below to learn more about NVC phase.
Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
Hope that helps!

What makes you wonder ?
Anyhow it takes 8-10 weeks for NVC to receive NOA2 ?
This is the maximum time. It’s like an unofficial priority date. If you gone passed that you called and ask NVC to transfer you to supervisor and you also call USCIS to confirm it was sent.
People get approved in less time.

I was wondering do they update online or I have to call them after 8 weeks?

Have you read the NVC wiki guide on visa journey? They say up to 8 weeks. When I called NVC said 6 weeks. This mean that is the time you should allow before calling back asking for a supervisor to check on your case. My case along with a lot of others were received in 3 weeks since NOA2 approval. You can search timelines to see this evidence.
You can call NVC as much as you like to ask about your case.
Here’s the wiki:

Hi guys! I just called NVC and they told me they have received my case. It's been only 3 weeks! So when they say 8 weeks I think they are exaggerating
The lady on the phone also told me, my case is an "electronic case" so she asked me to hang up and call back and select option 5 on the menu. I don't know when she couldn't transfer me because I have now been on hold, again.
Just because they recieved it, doesn‘t mean you can do anything and start the NVC paperwork!
A friend of mine got her case transferred to NVC in Jannuary 2018 but only got her Case number in April!
So every case is different, and I wish you all the best

Well, I got my case number from the NVC a day after they received it. You can check my timeline if you want specifics. You can technically fill out the DS-160 whenever but I would wait until you have your case #.
How couls you log into CEAC to fill out DS-160 early without a case number?

We just got our case approved and now we are trying to figure out everything that happens next. For anyone who has gone through this process in Turkey, how hard is it to have the medical exam and interview scheduled close together? We just found out the only approved Doctor is in Ankara and my Fiance lives in Istanbul.
Here are two resources to help answer your question about what happens next. Your case will now go to NVC. Check out the NVC Wiki and flow-chart. Your timeline says K3 visa

Aa far as the medical you can check on the embassy’s website for that info maybe.

i was told by my lawyer this is quick and they are surprised but glad. Normally right now it’s taking 6-9 months case by case of course. Dont lose hope, I’m one of the lucky ones but normal time is up to 9months... we will all get there! I will update you all once my paper work gets to nvc and receive case number!
Congratulations!!

I am a USC petitioning for my husband for his IV. Initially we thought the process would take longer than it has been.
Currently my Husband is in medical school and if he gets approved too soon and has to land in the US before finishing his last semester in Poland will he need to apply for a re-entry permit to go back to finish the semester? Assuming he would land and leave 3 weeks after? If he’s gone less than 6 Months would he be ok so long as he can prove his ties to US? ( wife and kids still reside there and joint bank accounts/taxes filed)?
If this is going to be an issue we might have to take our time at the NVC stage but that worries me too.

Hello everyone,
So My husband and I have submitted our documents to NVC usning CEAC and we were just informed that his birth certificate was not accepted. We don't have his original birth certificate but we got certified form proving his birth from city hall. CEAC has rejected that and I don't know what else I could upload. Does anyone have any ideas for us? I tried searching the NVC site but saw nothing on this topic.
Have you seen this?
