3am to 5am would be 12am to 2am est. 1am to 3am CST. 2am to 4am mst. Ur times r just off little bit that's all.

    No harm no foul.

PST is two hours behind CST, and CST is 1hr behind EST. PST was used as a reference because the office is in California. At the time of the post it is about 10am PST, 12 CST, and 1pm EST... I Got a message at 5:30am CST which would be 3:30 PST, and it showed approved online after 2am CST (midnight PST)... Not trying to get too far off track 😊, just wanted to make that clear

  2. Just a heads up for those still waiting... The USCIS website seems to update the cases after midnight (PST) then they send the notification emails/texts between 3am-5am (PST)... So instead of losing your mind checking the site every 10 minutes, just check it in the morning (or after midnight) and if there is nothing give it another day (or call after lunch hours if it's eating you up to know ahead of time, like I did 😂). Good luck to everyone!!

There were a LOT of angry people between May - October 2017 that were less than impressed with USCIS and their phone call etiquette.

I feel for them, though. They can't tell you anything more than the website tells them. That much is fact. They're not withholding information, they just don't have access to it.

It's like a glorified call center. You think that those people are the ones stamping your paperwork, but they're just making sure the phones get answered and that if someone DOES have an emergency, they get to the right person.

True, I will just add they do have access to your file to see if an approval notice has been mailed out PRIOR to it being updated on the website. And just like any call center you have some who seem anxious to help and some who could care less

Honestly, tier 2 is unhelpful almost 99% of the time that you call. The people who answer mostly verify your information, tell you it's been received and tell you wait, because there's nothing else they (or you) can do.

Your time IS coming. Also, you can call USCIS. It doesn't have to be him. :)

From my experience calling tier 2 has only been useful if you want to make an official inquiry, otherwise they seemed less enthusiastic about helping

U can do as u like.

I believe tho that if u call and ask prior to out of normal processing time. And they haven’t touched ur case yet. They will set it aside and make u wait even longer.

just remember. Every time u call it’s noted on ur account. Also, for the month of February there is a total of 3500 cases to be reviewed plus left overs from other months..

That is absolutely not true. Calling does not slow down the process. I don't even know why you would say something like that without evidence.

Don't worry, you'll get it soon! I did that too, 08/07 I talked to Tier 2 and she said my case is still pending, that to call back in 2 weeks cos our case is still within processing time. it broke my heart when she said that. the next day I said to myself I will not call USCIS, but I still did call them. Then I found out from Tier 1 that we got approved! I had to call them back again after 3 hours just to make sure  (crazy huh?), the guy said it's still processing/pending should wait til 7th month so do the case inquiry and I was like wait I called earlier and the lady said it was approved. Then he checked it again asking me some security questions and he was like oh yes your case has been approved.

Did it show as approved online the next day?

Im really anxious as to what steps to take next after NOA2 for Dominican Republic. I’ve looked online and have found several different versions of what I should do next, just not sure which one to choose.

    This should help:

My fiancée and I were approved today! We still can't really believe it but are so happy this day has finally arrived!!

    NOA1 old site - 30th January

    NOA1 new site - 4th February

    NOA2 - 3rd August

Yesterday we actually mailed USCIS an updated address for me (the beneficiary) and a request to change embassies from China to London. I suspected as soon as we did that they'd go and approve our case, but not complaining. I guess we'll call them next week to see if we can get it changed before they send to NVC, but I am guessing we'll have to wait until it gets there before requesting the change.

Did you see it online or get an email?
