Don't book your flight until you have your visa in your hands. Not issued, not approved at the interview BUT in your hands.  We have witness ppl approved, issued and then WAM. Something happens that causes a delay. If you want to book early then get flight cancellation insurance so you are covered. Just word to the wise.
 
If a round trip ticket is cheaper buy it and when you land in the US then throw the return trip in the trash. No harm done.

Got my case #!! 

I got great news tonight, and received my NVC Case Number! It was just generated today! 
 
The guy on the phone was very friendly! 
 
 

They said "some administrative processing before we send it to the embassy" over the phone when I received my case #. There isn't much on the website that pertains to the K-1 process. 

Yes Yes and Yesssssssss!!!!! Our NVC case is ready!!!!!! 
 
NOA1: November 10, 2017
NOA2: June 1, 2018
NVC#: June 19 2018
NVC Ready: June 27 2018 (June 28th Philippines)
 
It is interested the NVC date ready is 6/28 because that is the current date in the Philippines.
We could have scheduled our interview in the Philippines on July, 9, 2018 but my loving fiance said she wanted to take things slowly to think through each stage carefully.
Anyone else NVC status is ready?

Mine is also 'In transit' to Athens as of yesterday!  Received an email notification, haven't really been checking the CEAC website. 

Anybody here who already booked flights? I wonder what to do, booking one way or to and back. One way is so much more expensive. But I don't know, if not booking one way could cause any problems. Did you hear anything about it?

Paperwork ready to FedEx tomorrow to my fiance in the Philippines! So thankful for everyone's help and to be at the last stages of the K1 Visa process.

GOT OUR CASE #!!! YES. They entered it in the system two days ago, and he said it hopefully will be on it's way to the embassy pretty soon.
