Eventually it will be sent to one of the service centers.  Processing times are irrelevant for sibling visas, because the petitions will be approved long before a visa is available.

Thanks @Jorgedig. I was referring to my mom's case which i filed a few days ago. I agree with you on your point about siblings which i have not filed yet.

anyway, based on some research around web and VJ forums, i discovered that receipt i downloaded for I 130 can be used to figure out the service center and according to it, its NBC (i will try to call and cinfirm as well). More research shows that should not have happened since NBC does not process consular I 130s. Guessing it could have happend because my mom is currently visiting on a B2 but not sure... Sigh. Hope they actually transfer it themselves or its actually a different service center processing it....

If it is actually at NBC, Should I expect them to transfer it or I will have to call them a million times to get them to move it to an appropriate service center. NBC timelines for I 130are not even published nor do they get listed as a service center for I 130s

  2. A late update...Our interview was held last week and the case was approved. Oath was held the same day. There was a long line extending out to the street so it took an hour and half (1 hr past the scheduled interview time) just to get to the waiting room.

Interview experience: Interview was way more detailed (wrong kind of details) than it needed to be for a citizenship interview. The interviewer seemed like he was taking a green card interview instead of a citizenship interview. He asked question like how did your spouse entered the US, where does he work, what company does he work for and so on. Questions he should have been asking like why do want to become a US citizen were not asked. At the end of it, he told me to go and wait outside for "scheduling" an oath date and place...When I got outside, they said to wait and the oath ceremony would be held at 2 PM same place...so i guess he did not know what the updated process was after the interview... I dont know if he was not used to taking citizenship interviews or what but the whole interview seemed like i was taking an green card interview all over again.

Anyway, the journey has ended. Good luck to everyone!

  3. Hi everyone, i am a june filer but noticed some of you have already had interviews, (congratulations!). I wanted to ask something from folks who have been recently approved. I noticed that my case status says your case is being "actively" reviewed online. This happend a couple of days after i filed. Did any of you notice this status before you received interview schedule? Especially those in hartford, CT? I am just trying to understand if there is a relationship between this status and a quick interview date. Thanks

  4. Hello everyone, just filed N-400. I-751 was approved last week and the window opened on Monday. Almost immediately after filling, we received a notice that application was received online followed by another notice that biometrics will be reapplied.

Just one thing that concerns me is that when filling the foreign address, we used the second line and after submitting the application we noticed that it puts in in the apt/street number section which does not have enough space. So it shows partially... Hopefully it is not a big deal...

  5. Our I-751 case was approved recently and we are due to file N-400. I am filling out the application online and wanted to confirm a couple of things:

1: How do I answer the question "Where is your current spouse currently employed?" Is it the state/city/country or the company i work for?

2: The evidence they have asked to upload is pretty straightforward: Green card , Marriage certificate, child birth certificate, tax transcripts, my passport copy...Is there anything else I should be providing like proof of marriage stuff (pictures bills, bank statements) ? The only place i can upload that is in the additional document section

  6. We had our interview today and the case was approved. We arrived at 7:45 AM in Hartford, CT. The interview was pretty simple. Just some questions right from the application ….things like verifying names, Date of Births, social security number of my wife, date of marriage etc. She very briefly reviewed the supporting docs we had brought with us and compared to some stuff we had sent in as part of the application. One thing to remember doing is to bring a copy of the originals. Most of our supporting documents were printouts but there were some originals (bills, passports, id's). Be sure to bring a copy of these. She went and made copies of the passport/ids but wasn't very happy about it. Otherwise she was polite and the interview lasted about 15 minutes. She said card will arrive in 30-45 days! Is that accurate? Also, received the email that card is being produced

Off to the N-400 Journey. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the response. Your signature doesn't have the date on which online status changed to "Case Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" and the interview date - which I needed to plan my trip back to USA 🙂

Sorry, I thought I had updated it. It arrived 5 days after i received the email that case was ready for an interview. I am now waiting for the letter to arrive to know the interview date...

Our timelines are similar and we both had biometrics appointments on 12/08. What was the time between online case status changing to "Ready for Interview Scheduling" to you getting the email interview scheduled email? Do you mind sharing when your interview is scheduled?

I'm currently out of USA due to my mother's prolonged illness and death. My case status changed on 04/14 to "Ready for Interview Scheduling" and it is extremely stressful trying to plan a return.

Thanks in advance for sharing the info!

Its in my signature, dates and duration. A few days in this case
