so some good news, according to the list, a 10/10 case got approved today!!!! and a case of 29th September as well!.... its crazy that they just did a PD 10/10 case! This essentially means anyone can get approved at any time, so please remember to keep checking their new site for approvals (link in my signature)

I have a theory about the delay (trying to make myself feel better)...what about spring break? I mean i know a lot of folks take off from work when kids are out of school for spring break. Texas going faster cause its past their spring break time but Virginia it is the time for spring breaks. So who knows maybe folks are out who need to do a final sign-off or make the status change online. I say this on the basis that its not just that case processing has slowed down but also that even folks who got approved recently were notified about a week late. Maybe they are short-staffed because of spring breaks. Now if this theory is true, we should see bulk approvals coming through next week...

Just got off the phone with the USCIS, inquiring about my I-130.
The young lady told me the wait is from 9 and half months to 12 months now.
How true is this information???
yeah typical answer....worthless. If you had called a month ago when they were processing everything in 5 months they would give you the same answer....now of course, i hope its not turned into a REAL/truthful answer now

slow for sure...PD 19th. the processing time predictor on this site has gone from predicting my case to be done by April 10th to April 30th over the past 6 months while waiting...so moved by 3 weeks and the way this is going i dont think its happening until may the way things are going...

I was wondering if anybody knows or has heard about the internal I-130 review process that an application goes through before being approved (NOA2)? For example, I-130 case is opened for review roughly 5 months from NOA 1, then it goes to person A and stays with them for a week who does a basic review for completeness, if everything OK it goes to person B who is actually in charge of approving it or if something was missing and RFE is generated. Person B actually reviews it and sends approved/denied to person C and so on.... ?

Just a reminder folks. Please check your cases at the new place: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. The old site may not generate alerts so who knows your case may be approved and you don't even know! Good Luck!

Letter came from Virgiinia, I believe it will be sent to vermont or new Hampshire
Congratulations!, please enter your timeline so it may help others. It will help you as well if you have questions during the NVC process and other people need to see your history to help you with your questions.

yes I have noticed it as well. People who have their timelines filled don't show on the list. I have seen at least one case which had a PD of September 29th approved a couple of days ago but the member does not show at all on the list even though they have their timeline filled out and updated to reflect approval.

It was easier to wait for this for the first 5 and a half months, but now I am checking it daily. How come there is no timeline for Potomac on this site and no NOA2 members here from Potomac? Is Potomac the "red headed stepchild" service center?
There are multiple Potomac members here. Check here for timelines: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=6&option=3&sortby=2. Although, i have noticed that it does not update properly sometimes. For example, I noticed in another post someone was approved with a PD of September 29th yesterday 4/4 and they had their timeline filled out but their timeline does not show on this list.

How do you find out what type of case you will have once at NVC?
I just saw your timeline, I don't think UK is a pivot case.

Pivot cases are those that require online submission of documents. They are only offered currently for certain countries/embassies. Islamabad, Pakistan is one of them. I know Ankara, Turkey is as well and Honk Kong based on what I have read in the NVC forums...I have tried to locate a list but have not been able to find one on the web.
Once you get your case number you will know how to send in documents: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-6-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html
Or, or.... if you have to wait 9 weeks to get a stupid case number you are probably a pivot case.

so TSC and Nebraska has seen at least a few October cases but Potomac is behind (based on the search of the timelines). Congratulations to those approved. I searched for random case numbers around my case number on the app and its the same there. Nothing that i found for last week of September or first couple of weeks for October shows progress at Potomac. I'd be happy to see just ONE from October to give me hope . Of course, i found out I will have a "pivot" case (electronic) filling at NVC once i get there and those are taking 9 weeks to just get a case number!!! . Irony is electronic is supposed to be faster than others...
