Hello friends, yesterday my fiancé called the USCIS told him that our case had not yet touched him that he should wait, I this week wanted to finish with everything it is very difficult to live apart from the person you love ... Today while I was performing an aesthetic procedure came USCIS mail and lol for little damage everything to see that it was our approval, guys I am very excited I had never felt so much joy ... Read to you to have been a great support I will be here until we all have gone through this process ... God is great we will all end that soon ... I love you ... Sorry the speech is the emotion ...

I'm from the October 2017 thread and I'll still be posting and stalking there to see all those wonderful approvals but I think we should have another thread just to keep things orderly. Hello everyone ! Happy to say a few hours ago we have been approved, very happy to join this discussion now as the most stressful bit is behind us !

Okay guys....MEDICAL EXAM COMPLETED AND CHECKED OFF THE LIST!!!!!
 
Reni said his overall experience was easy but that it was a long day. His appointment was scheduled for 8am but due to Kingston traffic he showed up at 9-9:15am (10-10:15 EST). He said that the people were nice and that the doctor who went over his medical history form didn't not persist with on asking him repeatedly about drug/alcohol/marijuana usage. He asked once for each question and he said no each time, so I guess he got the "good doctor" who was scheduled for yesterday's roll call...lol.
 
They did the normal blood work, urine test and chest x-rays. The did not give him his chest x-rays like they have in the past - the nurse told him that they will forward everything to the Embassy.He said he only needed 2 vaccines which only cost him $7000JMD which is approximately $58.00USD. His total amount he paid was $30320JMD (which is the medical exam fee and the 2 vaccines), which is approximately $245.00USD, which is AWESOME because of course we expected and were prepared to pay more. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND going to your local doctor or clinic and getting the required vaccines prior to the medical because it is cheaper to do. I had Reni do this 3-5 months ago so the fact he only needed 2 vaccines is GREAT! The nurse provided his DS-3025 without him even having to ask for it and she was kind enough to explain to him the purpose of this form. The nurse was kind of enough to tell him that his medical exam will be there in time for his interview (I don't know if she was just being nice or she is the one that will personally handle preparing his medical form packet to send it to the Embassy considering the Embassy is a couple blocks away from the Hospital but hopefully it will be there before the interview). He completed his medical exam at 2:30pm (3:30 EST).
 
So our "Grand Finale" is next Friday (April 27th) and Reni and I are on an official countdown to hearing those beautiful words that we have dreamt about since May 23, 2017!!!! I will be flying on Wednesday to be with him and attend his interview!!!!

That's the standard timeline they give everyone. You should be getting your case number within the next few days so just call them once a day or every 2 days.

Has anyone gotten their NVC # yet? I got mine last night.

Submitted date (new site) = when all your information was inputted into their system

I have arrived.  I received my NOA2 today.  Wow... glad that's over.  Now on to this which i hear is no picnic.  

To everyone that is still waiting, don't give up! Your NOA2 will be there soon. You're already made it for 6-7 months so it would make no sense to give up now. I've been reading too many posts of people giving up the person they're willing to spend the rest of their life with because this wait. It's hard but nothing good in life comes easy 

That's great. I'll do that next week. Yea, I'm not worried about it at all but I want to know as much as I can about the experience. Thanks again.

He hasn't gone into detail about how much he was pressed about it but I think it's because he would rather us talk about it instead of text but he said the questions weren't hard. Just make sure to be persistent and not stammer or stumble if they repeatedly ask you about it. Considering he doesn't and has never smoked marijuana, I'm sure he was so unbothered by the line of question; however, I will find out more about it later and let you know.
 
Regarding the vaccines...here is what the U.S. law requires:
U.S. immigration law requires that all applicants be vaccinated for the following diseases:
 
Mumps, measles, rubella, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, influenza type B, hepatitis B, varicella (chicken pox), pneumococcal, and influenza.
 
However, I told him about 4-5 months ago to go to his doctor and have them give him the required U.S. vaccines that he needs or was still missing. At the time he only needed 3, the doctor only had 2 in stock so we knew he would be getting one vaccine at the medical. Just go to your doctor and let them know you need the required vaccinations/immunizations for U.S. immigrating purposes.

@AnaUmo....so far, what he has told me is that it was a long but easy day. He only paid $30320 JMD total which included the medical exam fee which is $23320 and only paid $7000 JMD for 2 vaccines that he needed because he had everything else. I would suggest that if you can or haven't done so already, try to get as vaccines/immunizations before the medical because it will cost you less to have it done by your doctor but at the medical exam it will cost a whole lot more. I had him go get the shots that he need in advance and we knew he was missing one of them so the fact that he only had to get 2 of them and it cost $7000 JMD is awesome. Also, try your best to get there early. If you appointment is scheduled for 8am, get there before or right at 8am. If Reni didn't get stuck in Kingston traffic, he would have probably gotten done earlier because he had a 8am appointment but with traffic he got there an hour late. He was done by 2:30PM his time (3:30pm EST).
 
Once he gets home tonight I will get more in detail and post the whole thing. He has a long ride back so I want him to get some sleep.
