Priority date means the date USCIS received my application. It is the date that shows on the very first receipt from USCIS. So for me, it took about exactly a year to get interviewed
You will see people write PD in this forum - that means Priority Date!

Hi, I filed in NY too. Did my interview on Sept 11th. My priority date was August 2017. Hope this gives you an idea of the processing time here at NYC.
    Good luck!

I had my interview on Sept 11th in Manhattan New York. The questions we got asked are simple, eg: when did you meet, have you met his parents, the generic questions on form 485.... the entire process went less than 20 min.
I believe it went well, since then I have been checking online there was no update at all. So I called USCIS customer service, they said it was approved the next day.
Hope all Oct. filers get your interview soon! Cheerssss.

PD: Sept 1 2017, got RFE once, so i sort of consider myself Oct filer as well.
Have interview on Sept 11th, 2018 in NYC. The interview was super quick, less than 20 mins. The officer told me they have to complete certain process, if nothing goes wrong, I should expect the card within 30 days.

My priority date was Sept 1, 2017, then I got RFE and it was received in Oct 2017, so I always consider myself an Oct filer:)
Got combo card on Jan 20 2018 (had to go through Congressman due to error made by USCIS)
Just got an email on Aug 2, 2018 that my interview was scheduled, now waiting for the notice to come in the mail.

PS: the interview update came through the OLD USCIS website: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do
You could sign up email alert.

I had the same problem with you back in August. I got an RFIE. Unfortunately, an RFIE resets the entire process and takes your counter back to day zero for the EAD/AP. There are some reports of the RFIE not having any impact on approval, but in my experience and from speaking to a couple of USCIS Immigration Officers - the RFIE does send the clock back to day zero.

It means you used an old I-485 form. Get the latest from USCIS and send again: https://www.uscis.gov/i-485
The I-131 and I-765 were rejected because they are dependent on the I-485. Send them again with the updated I-485.
Edit: And be sure they are the latest forms from USCIS as well!

Hi all August filers! USCIS mailed my EAD on Jan 8th, my NOA is Aug 25th, but I got RFIE on Sept 25th.
I'm sure all your cards are already on their way..on the other hand, job interview these days will take much longer than getting your card. So I'd encourage those of you who want to work immediately to apply jobs while waiting, you might end up getting the job and card at the same time...like me. Worst case, you can use a job offer to expedite the card. Exactly what I did, and it helped!
My prayers to all of you, as we all know how it feels to waitttt for something we don't have control of.

Figured I would update! EAD and AP were approved yesterday (Jan. 4th 2018) after a looooong 180 day wait. Excited that we can travel back to Sweden now and visit family, just sucks it couldn't have happened during winter break!

Yes, I agree they won't be able to expediate without an offer letter. But I do feel they pushed the NBC a bit if your case is pending too long ( mine is almost five months since NOA ).

    good luck!

No, my online status didn’t change, a trick if u want some information from them it’s that you call them and ask them for the tracking number of your advance parole or work permit, ( I asked for advance parole) They will conect you with a second tier officer and he will let you know if its acept it or no, or if its on the way, thats what I did and it work! I have an account with delivery usps too but they gave me the tracking number and said it will arrive on monday  So yeah is a good present. Try like I did and see if it work, its worth the try trust me! Good luck yo you

I have raised 2 SR on my EAD, my NOA date was Aug 25th but got RFIE once so there seems like a delay. So I practically follow this September thread.

Called tier 2 today (the guy was actually a supervisor) who is very knowledgable told raising multiple SR could potentially slow down process. SR will be signed to officer within certain days (I believe it's 7) then they have to respond to you within 48 hours. So just call back to get update on SR you have already sent.

He has also said 90 days is no longer practical, now it's 120 days. But you can still send SR after 90 days. So let's just be patient, enjoy free time with your significant half. My husband said at least you are just waiting for something already settled, there are immigrants out there who got absolutely no hope.

    Cheers everyone!
