  1. Green card approved and card is being produced. Interview was straight forward verifying some info we placed on the application, how we met and the proposal story. Officer only asked for wedding photos and none of the many documents I brought. No tax forms paystubs etc. It's more of a conversation vibe than an interview. Best of wishes to everyone!! Didn't get the EAD so I'm glad hubbie will be able to start working soon.

Lucky you! I see on your timeline that your PD is Feb 9th. I’m Feb 3rd and still haven’t received my bio appointment letter😞

Is there anyone on this thread with a PD first week of Feb and « allocated » to the National Benefit Center who already received his/her bio appointment letter?...

Hopefully soon! It's coming!! Its almost like they do the dates at random. Just messaged USCIS using Emma couple days ago not sure if it triggered something. They told me no appointment was scheduled

I'll keep my hopes in check to be honest you never know with those awful USCIS people, especially cause I talked to a live agent today and they told me that I don't have any FP appointment anytime soon, it's just a widespread platform glitch.

Hahah yeah never know with USCIS we are in it for the long haul when it comes to immigration. Hopes are always high tho just gotta make sure we are not easily disappointed because after all it's immigration.

@Empressdivine good day. How long after receiving the 221g did it take for the visa to be issued? We are still waiting since turning in the missing doc to the courier on Dec 2nd.

Yes it took a while. I feel as though they pick up back the case what seems as randomly to us.  I see that u read the timeline but to note incase someone else reads this. Total time from 221g to issued was 1 month but because I couldn't get a medical appointment. Once the medical was redone 2 1/2 weeks.

Not sure if the holidays is slowing them down now. Hope you get through soon!!

Hello Jamaica took a long time to message me the information needed for the interview. I got packet 3 from @Greenbaum. I will send packet 3 to you. I then began to gather the documents (police record, non impediment completed my ds160, requested an appointment for the medical, etc,).

2.) So yes you can proceed without hearing from Ja embassy. K1s schedule their own interviews as well.

3.) All documents can be done.

4.) You are not required to go to the interview with your fiance. The interview is easy and straight forward per my fiance. As long as the relationship is legit and it shows there are usually no issues.

  7. Jamaica has started processing almost two months now but we (K1s) book our own appointments. I saw appointments two weeks or so before the embassy made an official announcement. Click on the approval profiles and u can see the countries that have started. Jamaica stated that they will try and process visas now throughout Covid as it's not going away anytime soon. They only release a few appointments a week to allow social distance. Not sure why so many countries have not restarted

  8. You will receive a 221g temporary refusal until the medical is received.

All other documents are good for a year. Send two new intent to marry letters along with old ones. You can sign your copy and email to your fiance. I sent new paystubs but none were collected.
