Does the Embassy require bank statements as part of the supporting documents for the I-134 form?

No w2 tax transcripts and 6 months of pay stubs. The paystubs were not looked at however

I'm SO excited to share that we had our interview yesterday and we have been approved!!!

We do have one thing to complete - the police record wasn't ready yesterday, so we will collect that and send it by courier today and then we should get our travel packet next week!

It was a LONG journey to get here, and the last week has been crazy since they just opened up a few available appointment dates.  We had to do the Police check, the No-impediment certificate, found out we also needed his previous marriage certificate and to do his medical appointment - all usually take 10 days to 3 weeks to accomplish and we had less than 7 days - not just business days - to accomplish it!  We have experienced a waterfall of miracles to get everything done, so the fact that we couldn't get the Police certificate the day of the interview was very minor.

Since I just arrived in Kingston on Wednesday and our interview was Thursday, I am in quarantine, but I have still been able to run around on our errands and accompany him to his appointments - I just stayed in the car to remain in compliance with the quarantine rules.  I was assured that was fine by the nurse at the Kingston airport who checked me in.  Once we send the Police record off we will head home to Anchovy for the remainder of my quarantine and wait for the packet to arrive.

The BEST part of this process?  As he was leaving the Embassy, his interviewer asked him to sanitize his hands so she could shake his hand and told him "Congratulations and enjoy America!!"

That's awesome glad it all worked out! Congrats 🎉

My fiancé and I got lucky last week and was able to book 1 of the very few open available dates for k1 visa interviews in Jamaica. We emailed the embassy to make sure it was real and they said they opened a few dates and to book one expeditiously and so we did! September 28,2020.

visa status on temporary refusal as they are awaiting 1 missing document from us!

So don’t give up guys, your time is coming too ❤️

Any updates with your visa being issued as yet? We have to redo our medical and just got a date. Wanted to see how long they are taking to issue

Thank you so much really appreciate it. I saw the packet @greenbaum placed and indeed grateful. I have already done most of the things and awaiting this email or packet from the embassy. However the proof of finances from my job letter what should it entail?

We didn't submit a job letter and they didn't ask for one just three years of w2s and tax transcripts. We had 6 months of paystubs ready but they did not take this.

But a job letter would be from your hr department with an official stamp saying u work there and make this amount and perhaps how long you've been there.

Every case is different tho but our experience

  5. Hi everyone my fiance did his k1 interview in Kingston Jamaica and was told he needed to redo his medical. It expires 8 days after his interview. ( This is with the 7 month extension) I did ask the embassy before the interview if it needs to be redone and they said no. but now at the interview they stated  he's approved just need to redo the medical. I digress

On the 221g form that he received they checked off medical and passport and to return these to a courier service.

My question is would he just drop off his passport? The medical is sent electronically so what proof would he show for that?

He had received an immunization card when he did his first medical. This card was not taken during his interview. Does he need to have that sent back to the embassy as well?

I place "2nd inquiry in the email title with my case number"

@Stefan FaganSorry if I confused you. I am a k1 maybe someone who is a CR1 can chime in and help. K1s book their own appointments.

I'm assuming you have the embassy's email if you need to contact them.

So happy for you!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Enjoy the rest of your lives together!

    Hello ,

My fiancé went for her k1 visa appointment yesterday. She was approved however due to the medical expiring and the one month extension they to request the extension. She was informed she will have to leave her country by 17th of Oct. That they would work on getting it done and the visa returned to her . In addition I had to support a new affidavit of support, which was done within an hour after her interview and emailed to them . My concern is they won’t have it done in time and I don’t want to panic or hound them . my fiancé says don’t worry they know the date she needs to leave and it will be fine . I don’t want to push the issue with her . But we didn’t book the flight and I worry they will drag there feet returning her passport/visa to her .
    Any advice ?

    Congrats on the interview

A new affidavit of support why may I asked? My fiance has an interview Friday

That has to be an error!! I believe other dates will become available sooner and you can reschedule so keep checking the site.

Hey any word on your appointment? It's tomorrow right?

After a few back and forth emails of them request information, Case Number, petitioner name, etc. we got the standard automated message again.

"blah, blah, when we begin normal visa processing, blah blah". I'd like to reply that "hey, Korea has a good handle on Covid and you are doing normal student visa processing, how about sneak in a few K visas?"  But I'd rather not piss anyone off over there.  :)

Lol better not we don't make the rules we just have to play by their ways. I emailed my embassy so much they basically said listen we have told you the same thing 4 times please check our website next time 😂😂

So is the embassy really canceling interviews until further notice? Like we’ve waiting the whole year todo the drug test and all we have left is the medical again and interview. There has to be an exception to this. Is anyone having this problem?

View the Facebook live they posted couple days ago if you haven't they will be restarting services October. I booked an October 2nd interview couple days ago that has not been cancelled and I emailed the embassy and they did not mention Covid so we shall see what happens on Friday.

Ugh....  So I've booked the "available date" - you'd think I'd be happier??

The first available date was November 9, 2021???

This is insane.  I have spent all weekend checking, rechecking, at least 10+ times a day and always get the same message "There are no available appointments at the selected location. Please try again later."

You would think a week past the date they said they were ready to schedule K1s they would have more than ONE appointment more than a year out??

Has anyone else been able to schedule a Jamaican K1 interview since the weekend??

Yeah it is a glitch. Did it twice this year where available dates popped up for a year away. They will post dates soon! Maybe again first week of October but keep checking like you have been.

So right now your USCIS status has not changed, but the tracker app says "Case was Approved"?

I have been approved since March so this is old news but the tracker said approved way before it popped up on USCIS site. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Don't know how that worked out that way but my experience.

With the tracker I was able to figure out what my lost letter was before the USCIS site told me I was approved

Why don't you just create an account at USCIS?  If it is your NOA2, it will say "Case was Approved."

Those tracking sites are not official.  They pull data from USCIS.

And while you're at it, make sure USCIS has your correct address.  That would be the address for the petitioner.

Not official but the site showed info before USCIS did in my case which was interesting.
