@Naes!!!!  I literally JUST congratulated you on your approval and mine just came in the mail today!!!  Aaaaaaaaah!  I can’t stop screaming and crying!!  I’m with my fiance in London so I went to check my e-mails for informed delivery notifications and it was there!!  Page 1of 1!!  I called my mom on Skype to tell her and I freaked her out with my tears!  LOL  She asked in a panic what had happened so I told her we’d been approved!  She asked, “Why are you crying then?”  Lol.  My fiance told her its because I’m an emotional person.    He knows me so well!   @NICK & PAULA I’m finally part of the club! Yay!!!  
 
This was a silent approval as the website and the app still show Response to USCIS request for evidence was received.  
 
Received date: August 23
RFE Date: Feb 28
RFE Additional Evidence Received by USCIS: March 15
NOA2 Date:  April 3
 
I will make sure to update my timeline.

RFE is arriving today according to informed delivery. Got all the paperwork sorted to reply as soon as we get it.

4 hours after the name updated I was woken up by lovely @Swissmiss82 (whom I swore at for a good minute as I finally fell asleep at 2:30 🤣🤣 then I saw who it was but couldn’t wake up, then she sent me a screenshot of my approval. I advise anyone to have one of these @Swissmiss82 in hand cause she knew before my email came )
 
Now about the “name was updated” as my other dear @emekus94 said, normally “name was updated” is a correction on the petition about name or address or such.  However, when they were doing May I was really in to research on some of the updates that people has no idea why. One was name was updated (never expected to get one) I confirmed this theory of name updated 99% turns to approval with quite a lot of members here so yayyyy.
 
my case only got name update on 4/5 4am but with the date of 4/4 on the new site, and the approval came on the old site.

I deleted the app so I’m not sure but I think I’m on day 204? from the received date. 
 
And I wouldn’t do this again even if they give me a million dollars! 
 
I don’t know how everyone is doing it, but during the past week I broke up with my fiancé 10 times at least. Because I wanted to stop the pain one way or another. And I couldn’t go to work for the past 2 days.... so I understand why couples are drained and why some people are not as “strong” (actually this is the wrong word to use)
 
So many people helped me through this hell other than the chocolate puddings that I ate.

I want to give a brief summary of how this road looked like from my eyes:
-June edition:the one with most drama
-July edition: the one with the most chill
-August: the one that made me go crazy
-September : expediters 
-October : the one who always caught up in someone else’s drama
-November: all k1 goes to california 
-December: mainly validation errors

Hey guys just a quick update on our week, NVC got our case Monday, April 2nd, We got our case number today and it already shows in transit to the embassy in my country. Finally things are moving quickly!

Just called NVC and they recieved my case and gave me my case number and invoice number 6 days at NVC she said it hasn't been processed yet but shouldn't be long before they send it off to the embassy

NVC gets to send back a case when they believe something is missing from it. For instance, a VJ member complained that he called NVC and they informed him that his petition was sent back to USCIS because the front page of his petition which includes the signatory of the USCIS Adjudicator and they had to send it back to USCIS. Most times, one may not know that his case was sent back if he doesn't call.
 
Calling NVC doesn't make them sending back your case to USCIS, unless the case has some kinda faults.
 
People call to get their case # to monitor the progress of their case from NVC to Embassy.
 
Also, there are cases when couples don't hear from NVC (when they don't call), until Embassy contacts them.
 
In some other cases, the NVC ends up not contacting the couples, but sends the case to the embassy. The embassy fails too, which eventually leads to Expiration of the case.
 
If you can monitor your case with your case #, you will know when it is at NVC, leaves NVC and reaches the embassy. You can then, contact the embassy immediately to mail/email the Packet 3. 
 
Some cases reach the NVC from USCIS within 5,6-10 days and case numbers assigned. So, you can feel free to call anytime, but it has been confirmed that it's better to call around 10 pm when all cases have been inserted into the System.

So the congressman that contacted USCIS has just forwarded us a copy of the RFE. We need to send off my SOs birth certificate, which we knew we would, and evidence of us meeting within the last two years. Easy peasy.

Hi everyone!
 
We received our NOA1 on August 17th and still haven't received anything. I'm starting to feel very worried... has anyone else not heard back as well? Perhaps with a similar NOA1 date? 

04/03/18 I just received an email from the NVC -
“I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Bangkok, Thailand. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.”
 
This is the first and only contact received from the NVC.

Interview was yesterday (04/02/18) 
Visa was approved

don't worry,  you're not alone, August 1st here and have not heard a word, still waiting ...

same. 8/2 there are even a few June and July folk still waiting too.

Hi everyone!! I just got approved yersterday. NOA 1 08/23/17 NOA 2 04/02/17 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. I am one of the silent ones here, i scan comments and look for @Naes scan updates everyday. Every one of you have made it easier for all of us. You have given each other tips, a pat on the back and kept everyone sane while we wait for this horrific time of our lives wondering if we were going to be together with our loved ones or not. To everyone that got approved congrats, to those who wait just keep praying and be hopeful dont give up on your partner, if you do then its not true love. Special thanks to @Naes who is posting scan updates even though its not her received month. I hope you all get approved soon!! You all deserve to be happy!! ❤️
 
Tip: i got my approval yesterday around 8pm time in texas. I had asked for a service request on march 16. I called to follow up yesterday morning. Asked to get a call back from tier 2 but never got a call back. But i told the tier 1 about my situation and maybe he put it in the notes for tier 2 to see and tier 2 got the message. Point is if your outside of normal processing times then you have the right to buf them until you get approved. Kinda like how i got my job 3 years ago, they would never call me back months have passed and then i just kept going to the office to follow up until i got a call back from the manager and got hired!! Persistencey is 🔑  good luck to everyone

Got my new case number from NVC today. 12 days after NOA2

220 days today. Come on USCIS.
