OMG thank you ! This is honestly good to hear... I called yesterday but all they told me was that they received it and no other information...

    Thank you again !!!

No worries! Obviously, every case is different but that's how long it took for us. Granted, our case was outside of the dreaded 6 months they quote at USCIS, so maybe this accelerated my case? x

    Congratulations !

May I ask what it was that they requested in the RFE

I sent mine in and they received it the 16th of January but I have yet to get a response as if they denied or approved. I am biting my nails over here with how anxious I am.

Jumping in here - I had a NOID (not exactly a RFE but similar) and they received it Dec 5th, and approved us Dec 19th - I think you'll hear back any day now :-)

  3. I called the US Embassy in London to see if my case has been received (due to CEAC tracker being down, and my case being sent out 1 week ago), the guy said yes, so I asked "wait, you've received it" for clarity, and he said I should have received an email. I asked again "so you've received my case and I should have received an email?" then he started yelling at me about how I shouldn't call and ask and he cannot tell me -_- kthanks

I'm worried about how long I will have to wait for my interview, as if it is outside of February, I will be homeless for a few weeks  do I book my appointment when CEAC states "ready", or upon receipt of email/letter? To be honest, I hate calling people as it is and the agent just confused me more...

Is it normal that NVC takes longer than a week to send  a case to the Embassy...

I got my case # last wednesday and nothing still shows at nvc.... i got pretty bad news about my father's health yesterday and it will  be a blessing that my fiancee can come here to help us out looking out for him :(

My NVC number was also on Wednesday, and has not arrived in the UK yet. Call NVC to see when it left them and was posted, it can take 5-7 working days from here to get to your embassy.

Thank you so much! Do you also know which number to call? We are going to call tomorrow to figure out. Thank you for your time again @Melodica256 :D

    (603) 334-0700. Customer Service Representatives can speak with you Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST, excluding holidays.

You should ask if they have A received your case and B) allocated a case number. for me, these both occurred at the same time. for others, their case is received and allocated a case number on different dates (often 2-3 days apart)

    Hello VJ friends!

How do you figure out when your case has been received/left NVC? I know you can figure it out by calling NVC but do they update your USCIS tracker too?

Our NOA2 date was 12/5/2017. So I wonder what is going on with our case right now.

    Thank you!

You need to call NVC for a case number. Then, you can track where your case is with the CEAC tracker: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

    We are may filers.

After getting Noa2 in Oct our case was under AP at NVC for 6 weeks before being sent back to USCIS for clerical error.

after many weeks and getting the senator involved we then found out our case was lost !

we had to redo new petition which was reapproved then expedited back to NVC.

They received Jan 12 and now we are waiting on being sent to embassy( Sydney)

unfortunatly they say it's going to take 4-6 weeks to process which I find hard to believe as there are cases going in and out of NVC within 1 week.

    My dilemma is this.

Our wedding date is March 31st, 11 family members flying in from Australia which we can't cancel.

I quit my job after 18 years in Nov thinking I was on home stretch .

Can I still fly over for a family dinner instead, the venue says we can put our deposits towards that.

Im worried I won't get let in on esta?

I still have lease agreement and will get a return flight !

    Will that be enough?

So so stressed and yes I know I shouldn't have booked wedding but we were told by immigration lawyer k1-only takes 4 month back in feb 2017 lol

I flew out on a NOA2. There was some more questionning than normal, but with evidence you can do it. I brought a letter from my employer confirming my return to work, my rent contract (stating an end date 2 months away, after I was due to return home) and my return flight booking. They only looked at the return flight, but it is entirely possible.

So sorry to learn of your situation :(

Thank you so much for your response!!! You have no idea how much you have helped us! :) we are planning on going tomorrow! We have a question in regards to the A-number...we don't know what that or think that he doesn't have one. When I filled out the application for the k1 visa it asked for that too, but it was not applicable. Should everyone receive an A-number??

it should be on the NOA2 if i remember correctly

    Dumb question:

I'm booking my medical tomorrow, but I have to wait for CEAC tracker to state "Ready" before booking my interview - correct?
