It seems like some embassies have started to use an electronic system to receive the documents from the NVC.  I don't know how this works, if the COs just bring up the info on the computer for the interview or they print it out at the embassy, but it seems like they are going to start to transition more embassies to the electronic system instead of the paper and shipping system.

I totally understand. This journey has been a roller-coaster ride and like you, I too can't wait for it to be over to finally be with our love.

I would imagine that a visa would be guaranteed, if everything else is in order. My fiance is in a similar position. He has been travelling to the US  for more that 24 years (before we met) mainly for business and never had to stay for more than a week - until he met me 
I don't think you need to worry. If you/your fiance answer the questions OK (they mainly look for inconsistency) and you can prove that you have a bonafide relationship, then you'll be fine.

Interview is 10:05am Monday morning. No reason to think negative, though normal butterflies are always there.

The Barcode #AA is found on the DS 160  confirmation page. 

It depends on the embassy handling your case. I would reach out to them to find out how to proceed.

Hey Friends. Just wanted to give you all a quick update! My fiancé had his interview bright and early this morning and was approved. Now just to wait on the visa to be ready 🙃. I hope all your processes are coming along nicely and thanks so much to everyone who has helped me thus far. If anyone has any questions, I will help the best I can.

Not your fault. Nothing is totally clear about the K1 visa process. We are all learning as the process moves along...

I don't think it would hurt if you send them an email..... I am not sure what the process is in Rio but for me, when my case showed "Ready" in CEAC I emailed the embassy and asked them to send me the k1 packet with the instructions and forms and they did.

It's about time - what the hell took them so long???  Honestly, I believe some of these petitions get buried under the flood of cases they receive daily. They need to find a better way.
Hope those who are still waiting on NOA2  get some good news soon.
 
 

I just spoke to a tier 2 officer about 5 mins ago. and she said we got approved today. IDK what to feel.

For your information if your fiancé is from Peru. You need to do that after to have your number case LMAxxxxx and your case says READY, please immediately fill the form DS-160, is not necessary you wait until the letter with the instructions. After that you pay your fee for $265 call centro nacional de visas of EEUU in peru. Pay with credit card is easier, after that you can schedule of interview, after that immediately write to Limaiv@state.gov in the subject write INQUIRY your case name and your last name.
then in the email write the name of the petitioner and your name and type visa and your birthday date.
 
then write you need the later and instructions, after 5 days you will have in your email the letter and instructions.

I completed the DS-160 form yesterday and ran into what seemed like a bug on the form. The form is long as hell to complete (took over an hour) as they ask for a lot of information. Anyway, at a certain point when completing the form, it asks you to upload a photo and the website uses some kind of recognition software to decide if the photo is fit for purpose and accepted, or is declined.
 
The first photo I uploaded was declined as I think the lighting wasn't great. I uploaded another photo which was accepted, however I then got stuck on the photo confirmation page and couldn't move onto the next step. The 'Next' button was visible on my screen but was greyed out and wouldn't respond. 
 
I tried saving and exiting the form a few times, but every time I went back to it it was the same and I couldn't get passed it. I was using Google Chrome to complete the form. Eventually I started thinking maybe it was a browser issue, so tried in Edge but to no avail. Finally, I tried good old Internet Explorer and voila, it worked.
 
Just thought I'd share this insight as I know lots of you will be completing the DS-160 shortly. Not sure if it had anything to do with the fact my first photo was rejected, but I'd advise those about to complete the form to use Internet Explorer so you don't run into the issues and stress that I did 

Ok well after 128 days and a RFE  i received  my NOA2 approval today. Happy 4th of July to everyone  and hope  that the rest of Febs get there approvals soon. 

happy friday to everyone ) we are still waiting for noa2, this is so much frustrating already, 128 day today and no reply for our RFE (they recieved at 22 of june)( so i decided to put my energy to something positive and decorated the wedding glasses) happy wedding planning to everyone who is already much closer to this date!)))if we think positive this processing should go faster, lets hope

Fill out 160. Ds 260 is for couples already married 

Maybe those who received a case number almost immediately - it took a while for uscis to transfer the case to NVC.
It took 3 weeks for NVC  to receive my case and they assigned a case number the following day. Bringing it to the standard 3 weeks a person would wait from NOA2 to case # assigned. 
Now, I am hoping it will take the standard 5 days or less to get to the embassy.
 

The CEAC site is up and running again. 😊
