DILAW got a reaction from Soloenta in Possible next steps if I-751 was denied
This story should be a movie. I am just not sure under what category it will be though.

DILAW got a reaction from marthasofi in Divorce after citizenship
Let it go man. You have to let go of the things that don't want to stay with you. There is no way you can strip her from her citizenship and get her deported if that's your goal especially with her having 2 kids with you and staying with you this long. Plus, she's a female so the law most of the time will be on her side.
By the way, be careful about the fake SSN because if you knew back then why didn't you report it? I am won't be surprised if they say you had a hand in it and you get yourself in trouble with the government.

your case & the friend I filed for have close timelines:
7/01/20 - Application mailed
7/06/20 - Application received
7/15/20 - Check was cashed
7/20/20 - Text notification
8/01/20 - Received NOA
Never received an email notification and nothing on biometrics yet. 1 question I wanted to ask you, the NOA letter you received extends your PR or Green Card for another 18 months, correct?

My friend got the same exact thing. Extension for 18 months from the expiration on his green card. and biometric will be sent via another letter. We should keep in touch because your case and his (I did everything for his case) are very similar in timing

Living life paronoid is scarier
You still haven't told us who you know went through deportation who are in a real marriage, but provided limited proof? Who you know got deported because they didn't submit 24 statements of their credit card and didn't include 100 pictures along with their marriage certificate to proof they are living together?
You know what I think is exteremly difficult......the USCIS going to court to try to break a family (especially if there is a child involved) especially when the US Citizen spouse shows up and defends their relationship in court in front of a judge. Bruce "Catylin" Jenner is reffered to as a "she" now and won Woman of the Year in 2015 because "she" feels that he is a female now......You want to tell me if a US Citizen spouse goes in front of a judge and says this is my spouse and we are in a relationship that they will be denied? I don't think so

I agree with everything you said. I have spoken to USCIS officers and sat down while they describe all the non-value-add documents they get. I remember once asking an officer for the number of statements to send and the officer telling me "you don't need to send every one, just a sample maybe 1 every 6 months should be sufficient".
I am all for quality over quantity. But if some think having a 500+ page packages satisfy them and will make them sleep better, then go ahead I guess. Oh, you are also correct about how having a child makes the case easy to approve. I said it in another thread I think, but the officer I spoke to explained to me how having a child is almost all the proof they need to approve the case. She also told me that if the couple age, background ( I think she really meant didn't specifically say this, but I think she meant religion, athnicity, etc) and other criterias are similar that it makes it hard.

You are using a scare tactic to justify your decisions. You are saying all these scary unwanted words like "deport", "extremely hard to find an attorney", "denied and send back to their home country". How many people you know went through deportation after their I-751 was denied?
First of all, the USCIS keeps a record of everything. The USCIS officers are not stupid and when they want proof of a relationship, a marriage certificate (assuming you have provided it during the I-130/I-129 or even after getting married in the USA if entered on a fiance visa) doesn't proof a relationship. I will give you an example, when you claim a child or a sibling under you, you don't provide that person's birth certificate because it doesn't proof you are responsible or supporting them.
You can send all the documents you wish...hell, you can even include a McDonalds empty cup and say that you and your spouse drank from it. You can include anything and no one is stopping you. Overdoing something doesn't mean you are doing it well my friend, but good luck with everything

Wow, so your phone bill, credit card statements and pictures you sent ALONE come out to 800 pages??? That's overdoing it. You know the USCIS only cares to see the first page of your statement correct? The USCIS told me to hide any personal info on a statement (credit card #, balance, purchased items) if I wish because according to the level 2 agent I spoke to "We only want to see the 2 names on the same address". The agent also told me sending a sample is fine not every single bill.

If you entred on a K1 (Fiance) visa, it means you had to get married within 90 days. I am sure you did and processed the proper or required paperwork to change your status and received your PR. So, the USCIS has your marriage certificate on file now. For the I751, you want to show proof of the marriage since the last time the USCIS approved your PR. I know that you can send any info and I am not against it.
When I read some of the threads, I find a lot of unncessary info that somehow becomes "legit proof" because some think it's what applicants need to provide. For example, why would you send pictures of the US Citizen's passport? Or even passport pictures of the immigrant's? I have filed now 4 I-751 and never included pictures of the marriage certificate because it doesn't proof a continuing marriage. The USCIS knows you have a marriage certificate. You either had to provide the marriage certificate when you applied for the I-130 or if you entered on a I-129 where you got married within 90 days and changed your status. The truth is people copy others (we all do), but I wish we were efficient when we copy each other.

For your case since you got here on a K-1, you just need to provide proof since the marriage. For couples who were approved a K3 visa (spouse visa), you just need to provide evidence since the couple moved to the USA. If you think about it, if the couple were married prior to applying for a visa and then were approved, no need to provide evidence 2 years after the approval for anything prior to applying for the K3 visa. For example, my friend was married in 2016 and their K3 visa was approved in 2018, when they applied for their I-751, all proofs provided were from 2018 to present date. Why provide proof from 2016 or 2017 when the USCIS already approved their case in 2018.
For your case though, what you did is correct

Also, lots of applicants here say they are nervous or stressed and I know this feeling is coming from a good place. But don't be nervous/stressed. You are already living with your spouse and I am sure your marriage is legit. If they want more proofs, send them what they want. If they visit your residence, welcome them. If they want to interview you in person, go right ahead. You have nothing to worry because the most important thing is that you are happily living with your spouse together.

I remember the 1st thing the officer told me was "If the couple have a kid after entering the US, it's an easy process". So yeah, not having kids I guess can push someone to send more proofs. Not in thei thread, but I swear I read in another forum that someone send around 50 pictures. That person wrote that ever since they entered the country, they took at least 2 pictures a month only for Immigration which I think is insane.
Again, I am not arguing with anyone but how is a picture of passport for both the US Citizen spouse and their immigrant spouse supposed to proof their relationship? Or pictures from their wedding when they received their PR card AFTER getting married proof they have a relationship now? Maybe this is how I feel because I have done this 3 times, but my friends all had kids

I reviewed this thread and there's lots of good info here indeed. However, reading that some applicant's packages weighted 4 lb to 15 lb is shocking to me. I have helped 3 friends succssfully remove conditions (I-751) for their spouses and all 3 did have kids from the marriage, but none of their packages weighted over 2 lb (most were 1 to 1.5 lb max). None received a RFE. I never included copies of their passports. Here is what I included for each of the 3 petitions:
Front and rear copies of the PR card on the same page (both on one side) Copy of their child's birth certificate (1 copy) 1 out of the 3 included 3 affidavits from friends/family (1 page for each affidavit). The other 2 didn't include this Tax Transcripts for 2 years showing them filing jointly 2 out of the 3 included a copy of their Savings & Stock Investment Program (SSIP) account statement (3 pages). This was printed from their emplyee benefits site 1 out of the 3 included their Bank's savings account (3 or 4 pages from Citizen's Bank). The other 2 didn't include this A copy of their medical insurance showing they are under the same covergae. This was a screenshot of their medical profile on their employer's benefits site Copy of State ID showing their address 1 out of the 3 sent 1 picture of him and his wife in a park and the and the other 2 included 2-3 pictures of them together with family So the total pages to proof the relationship is anywhere between 15 to 20 pages. The I-751 off course was 11 pages, G1145 was 1 page and finally G1450 was 1 page.
I am not saying including too much information is bad. From dealing with the USCIS/NVC and even different consulates from Africa to Asia, you just need to submit a good source of proof and only supplying what they ask should be good enough.
A USCIS agent at my local USCIS office told me how applicants send all these extra proofs that make it hard for the officer to complete their process due to the huge # of documents they have to review. I remember the officer telling me "If the couple had a baby after entering the US, birth certificate of the new born is 70% proof of a valid relationship/marriage. Include a utility bill with both of their name on it and that could be all the proof we need to approve it." BUT she did say to include everything and whatever the petitioner wants.
