THis is absolutely crazy for me to read that some people think that if this messsge didn't go away after whatever they were fixing until midnight in online system, that's an indication is not a glitch lolol

It actually might not be a glitch after all this has happened before. On this thread from 2013 there was transfers to local offices and soon after approvals.
It was transfer from one cervice center to another. Usics does transfers like this and post announcement when it's happens. I was not able to find ANY record of mass transfers to local offices as it's a totally different procedure, only certain cases in a regular basis and for a specific reason related to the case, but nothing major.
So glitch theory is still the strongest.
4 hours ago, mycase17 said:It's not proven until USCIS states it that it was by mistake.
I do not agree. Usics never stated "fee were waived" mass glitch was a glitch yet it's indeed a glitch and that's like 10000% fact.

I have the same update too. but I just had my ROC Interview last January 18, 2018. I filed my ROC last year October 30, 2017 .. now I am getting confused if I am going to have another interview too?
Case Was Received At My Local Office
On February 28, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxx, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
This!!
@Kitsunehana already went for an interview before this message even appeared, means the case was already at local office before January.
No way her case travelled back to cervice center and then back again to local office.
Just another proof it's a glitch.
Now, I have a question; @Kitsunehana when your case was transferred to local office to be set for the interview, did your status changed at another WAC number (that used to work all the way through the process, not the one that shows new bug with February 28 date)?
Have you also been notified through mail that your case have been transferred to local office way back in December or whenever the real transfer happened?
Please let me know

So we're screwed either way. What a relief.
THANKS OBAMA.
I dont see it that way honestly. Its VERY likely a system glitch, so we only screwed by the waiting time at the Cervice center..If not stress too much about it ( i know its easy to say) we still can live a life including overseas vacations etc. I stressed out a lot when i saw absurd status that my fees were waived and then found hudreds more ppl with the same bug, so now im a little bit less concerned with online status thing
4 hours ago, Amhara said:I would assume that a glitch would apply to everyone. Since I was seeing three different dates in my search, I don't understand how this would be a systemic, general glitch.
based on experience with other glitches that i mentioned above, its very possible and can break the brain if you trying to undestand how it works really. But idea of both Cervice centers ppl sitting and manually choosing which case to send to local and which to keep considering we talking about thousands of them seems less likely to me than any irrational computer glitch
3 hours ago, LTGermany said:Edited to add: it also fits in with people hearing that there are going to be more interviews and people getting unannounced home visits from local officers which seems to be a new thing
Home visits is definetely not a new thing. There is a whole unit in charge or investigations as such.

There's only 3 possible outcomes out of this:
1. The transfer really happened, and the cases are processed quicker, with the usual number of interviews (low).
No chance it would be processed quicker as the local USICS not hiring additional employees just to make your wait less, it would go as low priority case at the top of what they dealing with. Fox example, n400 at my local office 13 months. Top priority btw.

If i'm in your shoes, I would welcome the interview right now! Its a lot better than being in the dark and playing the waiting game. At least you know what is coming with an interview and just resolve any issue that may pop up.
Question is WHEN that possible interview happen if local offices receives hundreds cases which they don't usually process in amounts like this at the top of already existing backlog at all major cities and being a least priority. Plus you can't track nothing once it's there. Don't get the logic behind exitement about that so called transfer whatsoever.
-
IF you want to wait until they finally check your case and then transfer it to local office to be scheduled to interview under local office proceeding time, then go ahead. It will delay your Roc. If you from small city that might not be too bad, but if it's a bigger office then it's a long wait by itself. On other hand you'll be sooner a citizen( under 3 year rule) but deal with explaining stamps at the airports around the world until that.
IMO I would not mess with Roc and do anything to delay it even more

Scazy, sure I will. She said they will send me a letter in 2 to 4 weeks but I hope I will get a response sooner than that.

I have just called USCIS and they told me for I751 it is normal to send the case to the local office to make a decision(Which doesn't make sense, why then send the case to CSC in the first place??) She said she will submit and inquiry about it and let's see what will be their response.
i also submitted inquiry to CSC today, at least ill know (i hope) if my case still thete or not.
Please post an update how it turns out

i dont see any.
all other transfers happened in between service centers. Its unheard of mass case transfer from both centers to local offices.

Yes.
USCIS often shifts workload around its various offices and divisions to best handle its current caseload.
I have never seen both service centers transfer thousands of cases to local offices, have you?
They transfer in between service centers.
So no, nothing like this before.

Guys i just got a called back from Tier 2
First, he said the case is indeed transferred at local office and he sees what i see - status about transfer ( just like they see fee waived glitch from other WAC, and if i dont correct that i have not filed any fee waiver and its a glitch, they think i did because thats what it shows on a screen)
Then i asked him how come thousands cases got tranferred from cervice centers to officess and he goes like oh you know other ppl with same exact status? Then that must be a glitch, let me see. After a brief hold ive been told that 1 system is showing that it was transfered, and another that case is still at CSC.
He said its uncler where is my case as it showing 2 differenrt things at their systems. He went ahead and created a service request at CSC to see if they in a posession of my case, will hear back in 2 weeks.
I think service request is the only thing that would clarify if the case still at cervice center or not, as infornation should go directly from CSC
Moral of the story: Tier 2 officers jusat like us are nor able to see whee exactly the case at currently. The "workload transfer" is just a personal guess, not an actual information.
My bet is on glitch. Went through all that with "fees waived" thing.

That would be a big coincidence if that's the case and perfect timing, but then again, time will tell if this is a glitch or not, they got approved 3 days after their case was transferred, so we will find out this week who else gets approved or not.
people get approved every day ( and majority of them are not even on VJ) so does not seem like a big coincidence to me.

If this is a glitch, how do you explain the person on this thread that got their visa approved after a few days their application got transferred? I don't believe this is a glitch.
Because a person could have been approved at cervice center and still get a glitch as even after approval case is still pending until your green card is produced

Thanks for the update, I am a sept 2017 filer and this gives me a hope of the process to expedite, did she confirm that all this is to remove the backlogs and not a glitch ?
If its indeed in local office, youll be processed after N400 and AOS cases, usually they have a day or two a month (!) to go over ROC interviews. Fingers crossed for a glitch
-
How local offices would go through all these thousands of cases while the n400 top priority case is taking 1 year and 2 months at my local office for example. I don't even believe they stuffed enough to pick up all 751 cases. I really hope it's a glitch, just like fee waiver thing.

@Sifa called up USCIS earlier and was told they are removing the backlog at CSC.
the thing is, BOTH service centers fillers are getting case transfer message. Not sure if its related to backlog itself, but maybe a new inner policy or glitch

Notice how majority of people has the same date 26 February
i bet Usics phone will be blown up tomorrow from amout of calls
Whoever is lucky enough to speak to Tier 2 about the issue, please update!

Ditto, same message here On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACXXXX, at your local office
i have same exactly date and message

Ok so VSC and CSC BOTH doing a case tranfers
so maybe the rumors about i 751 now require interviews is correct ( this is what i heard as well during a recent infopass for a stamp )

i think transferred to local office for processing, since some petitioners received the approval letter from their local offices.
Recieved approval letters right after the "non working" WAC indicated the tranfer? Interesting!
5 hours ago, Sifa said:I just got off the phone with USCIS asking them about this transfer, and the officer was specific, that, it is to reduce the backlog on CSC. So, hopefully, we are going to see lots of approvals from CSC applicants very soon. Good luck. I have an infopass for my extension stamp soon...so I will get a chance to ask more about my case, and hopefully ask for an expedited action, it wont change anything I know, but I will just put it out there to them.
Please update us on whats they going top say about iy on Infopass, since apparently cases now at local offices.
5 hours ago, BFP XX said:Does anybody know where we can look for local office processing times for the i-751? Mine only has processing times for Adjusting Status and N400. Maybe they don't give processing times for cases they don't normally process? Ugh... It was so close! Now I am wondering if it's a blind waiting game?
Wondering the same thing. My local office backlogged worse than CSC
2 hours ago, shenhua said:Thank Goodness! Finally, I received my GC in mail box. My status online still shows New Card is being produced, but it is not important now.
Thanks for this forum which is really helpful. Thanks for everyone who supports and shared experiences here.
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting , you will get there soon.God bless you!
Congratilations! )Can you PLEASE check your case status from the other WAC number on your biometrics? The one that used to never work ?
SEPTEMBER FILLERS WHO GOT APPROVED!
Can you please help us whos cases now tranfered to local office to sort the fings out with that transfer and what it means. Can you please check your first WAC number on your biometrics ( its 2 one next to each over) and let us know what it says? Much appreciated!
