I'm a waiver case but I did send a lot of evidence back in aug 2016, still got RFE (pretty general list of documents they asked, most i had already sent), and now interview!!!!

Oh in this case my CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You almost there! You August 2016 filler? That’s been a really long ride for you, I’m excited!   I’m sure you’ll be approved after interview.

  2. I just got a call from USICS, follow up by tier 2 officer after I called this morning.

Honestly, I feel like I need to leave VJ and stop

torturing myself with this immigration limbo as it only gives me a serious anxiety, especially after this call.

Ive been told there is a new rule that’s been issued 2 months ago: all cases from service centers are going to local offices. That does not mean there would be an interview for everyone, but all cases going to be processed  only there. And I have a loooongg time to wait because my case still at CSC and not yet transferred to local office. Also that my case “been worked on”  on a random date which is nowhere around my glitchy statuses online.

I wasn’t sure if i even need to post it here because it’s upset me so bad and I don’t want to spread it, but I thought maybe this information have anything to do with recent transfers, I don’t know. I’ve been advised to keep getting stamps, that’s all I can do.

Have anyone called recently or going to call to check up with tier 2? Is this information something totally new or you heard it before?

Just as much as I was happy to see others approvals all past week, just as much I’m upset right now hearing that my case in Cali and going to be transferred to extremely extremely backed up local office sometime among all others........ :(

  3. Got impatient and called USICS and tier 1 told me my case is at local office as of March 4. After explanation that this is a glitch a lot of fillers got and I have not received any letter about it I was placed on hold. He came back to me saying my case is still at California and might be processed in a few weeks or few months. Ugh.

    - sorry meant to sent it in my month thread, don’t see an option to delete this message

  4. I just tried to add N400 column to our December list but formatting is off :/ If anyone is better in it than myself, I think it’s important to add N400 info as that definitely affects proceeding way/timing and gives a better idea of how cases are moving ( like in September, October thread there is a certain pattern for people who filed and did not filled n400) Would greatly appreciate it

No i didnt put on a service request cause the lady on the phone told me that i was still within the normal timeline.

I'm so curious and it sucks cause my mail doesnt come till end of the day

I bet it’s a transfer / interview notice triggered by n400. Keep us posted!

Btw, guys, where do you see a transfer status? On usics.gov or dhs?

My case status updated to On May 1, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC××××××××× at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address..

Note that it says local office and not" another USCIS office". Perplexed!!!!🤔

I think “received” actually means nothing as I haven’t seen any reports where a physical letter comes in a mail to confirm it. However “transferred” usually follows by letter in a mail so it’s a legit update.

However there is a plenty cases who have not filled n 400 and got it transferred as well, so Idk :/

Did you get this update?  I just received this today and wonder what this means?

Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

On May 1, 2018, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC17040*****, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by May 31, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Numerous cases got that update today. Might be a workload transfer to Nebraska, look for a physical letter in a mail.

    What have you originally submitted?

I filed aug 2016, got a RFE dec 2017, responded march 12th 2018, went to a infopass appt last month and was told that thet had just received my file here at the local office in las vegas and I was in line to be scheduled for an interview.

TODAY I got the same notification as you guys  saying my file was transferred and another office had jurisdiction . I called USCIS and the lady told me that CSC had my file, transferred to another office and now my file is back at CSC for review.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK ANYMORE :/

Have you sent a service request?

Still trying to figure out if there is any consistency and logic behind petition numbers and the time when it’s getting processed / transferred but don’t really see any so far. But if your cases happen to be transferred to Nebraska I think you’ll approval should follow quick

I got the same status update too.

guys, is your number starts  with WAC170073.....?

I’m trying to track a case movements around my number to see if there is transfers happening in bulk

Reading through it and I am an october 2016 filer and I didn't hear any thing yet. Got a random update that my case was transferred but no notice so a lot of people claim it was a glitch. They are currently working on cases from October 10th 2016 so hopefully I will hear soon from USCIS. Getting super annoyed by it especially when I see that most people get either an RFE or approval letter.

Have you filled for n 400?

So I just got an update from USCIS and after i logged in to uscis.gov case status I see the following:

Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

On May 1, 2018, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by May 31, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. Anyone had anything like this happen to their case?

I also filed for N400 this year so I'm not sure if this could have anything to do with my N400 application :S

Check January 2017 thread. A lot of cases got transferred from CSC to Nebraska and got approvals already. Makes me guessing if  CSC doing a workload transfer. Wait until the physical letter in mail to know for sure but I think it's a good news!

The optimist in me says: "Aaaaah, there is a bit of movement!!!" ;)

Did you do the "case out of processing time" inquiry this past month? I can't recall. I did mine, if only to let them know I was paying attention and being slightly impatient! LOL I had filed it on March 30, and received a reply on April 14 stating that it was well within processing time. Then 9 days after... YASSSS!

So yeah, that might also be worth exploring if you haven't done so already.

As for the N-400, when I filed in November I was just so pissed it was probably going to take another forever for the I-751, that I went for a stamp extension to keep traveling (I do that a lot), and just decided to apply for citizenship in the meantime, as some of the stories about online filing that I was reading at that point were very positive. I kinda lost faith after my "recommended for approval" notice, as I went for an infopass and they told me I was basically stuck because of the ROC, however, ultimately it all worked out for the best this month, and I ended up getting approved for the ROC more or less at the same time as other who hadn't filed for citizenship, so I ended up being a lucky SOB!

Throughout the process, hanging out with all of you guys has been priceless moral support as well as precious information, so I thank VJ for giving us that.

    Here's to a speedy approval!

You right! I noticed my anxiety kicked it pretty bad past few days as I’m up until this moment trying do decide to book a trip for next week or not as I’m overwhelmed with “what if’s” like what if my petition gets denied if I haven’t filled it out completely or whatnot and I’m not here. So I guess essentially it’s being a bit negative. Yet those plane tickets won’t buy themselves and I keep prolonging it due to anxiety of coming back with a close to be processed case.

I start a day with VJ before even a cup of coffe or breakfast lol ( not really lol) my hubby is getting a bit annoyed with it at this point haha

I see you went through pretty intense emotional roller coaster yourself so reward must be 100 times sweeter :)

You mentioned you travel a lot, you think it’s ok to travel now for 15 days considering I’m at 17073 with i551 without a risk of denial while I’m away?

  14. 8 minutes ago, Nikkosan said:

OK. Glad we got that sorted out!

Oh, I see. So, yeah, those were the ACTUAL transfers, and not belonging to us "glitchers"! LOL :D

Yes, that's most likely where it is. I think by this time it shouldn't be too much of a bad news, as you're definitely almost there. Have you tried the Case Tracker App to see if they have touched any of the files in the 073 filing date?

Thank you! I can hardly wait! Part of me still can't believe it's happening, especially when I have a FB post from May 1, 2011 reminding me that I was NOT selected that year for the DV lottery! LOL

Glad we sorted out “transfer” thing too, what an entertainment for the past entire month! Haha

Case tracker app showing some approvals in 1704000000 and up, majority is received  at local office

1705000000 and up all 500 showing validation error?

1706000000 all cases received at local office, no approvals

1707000000 Not much movements ( a few approvals, RFE, name changed)

500 cases prior mind showing a few actual transfers, 1 rfe , no approval

500 cases after me a few transfers, 1 approval

Funny about FB! I decided not to file n 400 because my office is backed up worse than Cali, glad it worked out for you perfectly!

    Hey Scazy!

There's a misunderstanding. The one that shows you that the case has been "received at the local office" is the I-751, not the CRI-89 (see screenshot below). My CRI-89 number WAC17025 etc.. NEVER changed, whereas the I-751 number WASC17038 etc.. did change with the updates you're also getting.

    5ae876d3d7683_Screenshot2018-05-0110_06_16.thumb.png.ca7cc5033c6d4824bddf6f175dfb8067.png

I believe the I-751 number was the original number that initially didn't work when input on the USCIS case tracker, remember? We could only go with the CRI-89 number, and some of us had the glitch with the "we waived your filing fees", even when we didn't apply for any waiver. We are basically talking about the same thing, but have switched the meaning. As I mentioned, my CRI-89 number is the one stuck, whereas the i-751 number has progressed. The MyUSCIS Case Status page also calls them that way (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do; look under the column "Form", and it should be the way I'm saying it).

As for the way they're working through them, they seem to be all over the place (there are, for instance, January 2017 filers already being approved), so I think it's just a matter of time for you to get an update on your file.

And thanks for the congratulations; I've been frantically looking at the DHS website for an update on the document tab to see if my oath letter has been uploaded, but nothing yet. It's kinda funny that I will most likely have a US passport before receiving the permanent green card! LOL

Best of luck! Keep us posted!

Thank you for clarification, that means I’m at 17073..

I just checked January 2017 thread and seems like all approvals came from Nebraska service center and fillets got an actual letter about transfer

I’m stuck with same old glitches “received  at local office” and “fees were waived” so I believe my case is still sitting at CSC which is currently working on 17040.... ugh

Good luck to you on getting that oath letter asap, must be such a relief to be able to move on with a life lol! :)

No, based on I-751 numbers (the other receipt #).

    Here you go:

    https://www.cilawgroup.com/news/2015/06/04/uscis-receipt-numbers-explained-lin-src-eac-wac-ioe/

Thank you for a link and excuse my ignorance but I’m a little bit confused as I saw at other threads people use CR89 number (the one that started to work just recently showing “recieved at local office”) this one is 17048...... ( last status 62 days ago)

And i-751 number ( original number that worked since day 1, last status 510 days ago) is 17073.....

So if they currently working on 17040.... cases, then I have to wait all the way until 17073.... correct? Any idea how long that would take? (33 to go?)

Btw not sure if I congratulate you with your approval yet, but congratulations (again?) you’ve been very helpful!!! :)

My NOA-1 is Nov. 22, 2016 and I still haven't heard anything. It's been slightly over 1 year and 5 months now. I will get to 17.5 months waiting only next week.

It seems that they are still working on 17040 cases. I did not apply for N-400.

17040 cases -  based on CR89 number correct? I wonder what’s the digits past 4 means?

I feel like they going through begging / mid November cases and moving faster compare to the previous months.

Sigh. I've been waiting for 578 days. I'm already on my second i551 stamp. But I guess I can't really do anything but wait. The rep I spoke to a few days ago said I should call back in June since I'm still within the 17.5 to 19 month processing time. I'm just anxious that so many other Sept 2016 filers have got their cards. According to this forum, a lot of people heard back in March. I've felt like crying while reading through everyone finally getting their cards.

Well as I said, delays with combo cases are common. There is a whole thread about it here. You should just relax and check your statuses on DHS and usics gov sites time to time. You're a LPR at the end of the day

  19. 11 minutes ago, labelladell said:

I'm considering withdrawing my N-400 because my local office is on cases from 09/06/16, and I applied in Nov 2017.  My tracking says it'll take 21 months to get to my case. I don't think I could bear having my I-751 be slowed that much. I would rather have my 10 year now even if it means starting the N-400 application all over again.

Honestly I don't think that's a best route at all. There is no guarantee whatsoever that would speed it up. Imagine still waiting at local office just to have 751 interview since you withdrew n400. I would definitely not withdraw n400.

Call USICS and request to talk to Tier 2 offices maybe they would be able to see exact location of your file.

meanwhile just get i551 stamp which servers as a plastic green card for any purposes and sit tight waiting for your n 400. Might be sooner than you think as there is no structure how they process combo cases, somebody got lucky and got approved both while others waiting.
