We got approved today! Thanks everyone for your help!
 
Had my appointment at 2 PM, arrived at 1:40 PM and got through security.
 
Around 2 PM, I was called to the first window. Since there's apparently a new CEAC system, I was told I was their test subject as I was the first to go through it at this embassy. So it took a while for them to check that all the documents were there, and they weren't sure whether they needed the originals or not. They did take them as well as the medical results. 
Fingerprints were also taken there. All of this took about 30 minutes.
 
Then I waited a bit more and was called to a second window for the interview. Swore that everything in our file was the truth then was asked a few questions:
- Who's in the US?
- How did you meet?
- When did you get married?
- What does he do?
- Does he have kids?
- Have you ever lived together?
 
Didn't ask to see any paperwork or pictures. After that, the officer made me sign a paper saying I knew we had to apply for ROC in two years and gave me a copy.
 
The officer then checked the affidavit of support and tax returns. He then was confused about what documents to keep with the new system and asked a colleague who told him to give me back everything but the medical.
 
Lastly, he said that'd I should get my passport in a week and wished me good luck in the US! 
 
So happy this is almost over! Exactly on the anniversary of us sending the petition!

I had the interview this morning and got approved. Thank you all for your support over the last year. What a journey.
 
It definitely helped me to read all your advice. I am even more surprised that I really didn't get many questions asked - it was more like a conversation. The consular officer didnt want to see any additional documents such as pictures, letters, emails, text messages or anything at all. She asked me
 
1. where and when we met for the first time
2. Which year (I had only mentioned the month and date not year)
3. When was the last time I had seen him
4. She asked me how many biological children I had
5. If they wanted to come along (my husband did not petition them because they do not want to come for now - they don't like to move and keep saying that they want to wait until my husbands military career is over)
6. She commented that "this must be tough for you"
7. She asked me how the stepchildren and my son and daughter get along
8. She asked me how old they are.
 
I believe that is it. The hardest part was the wait time of almost two hours between handing over the original documents and the interview.
 
But I was totally nervous. The guy in front of me could not get approved now (I am not sure what happened). And I made my daughter one year older by accident as she is. Her and I were talking about her upcoming new school year and all the excitement laying ahead with her 9th birthday being part of it. Next thing you know is that I made her a year older than she should have been. I can totally see how people start forgetting things and mixing up dates and numbers alone. Although the visa was approved, I would have much preferred my husband to be there with me but he couldnt leave.
 
Oh -I forgot the link under which one can upload the documents and track the status. What happens next? How do I find out when I will get the passport back? 
 
 

In my loud screaming excited happy voice!!!! WE GOT OUR APPOINTMENT!!!!! Thank God the expedite went through!!! Our cita is August 9th!!! Juarez we will see you soon!!!! Praying and knowing god will continue to be with us and see us through it!!!

Had my interview 7/23, got my passport back today! In shock!!! Leaving on 8/4 ...if I can hold on that long lol!!

Okay, sooooooo.....turns out that the original interview date for 22 Aug, was only computer generated because the CEAC site was down, at that time, to confirm my expedite approval.  This morning, we received a new interview date from the Embassy for 8 Aug!!!!!

Hello Everyone,
My husband came in to the USA last week, POE was JFK, New York (final destination was Missouri). He bought a one way Emirates ticket from Abuja, Nigeria and stopped over in Dubai for a day (got a Dubai visitors visa). Questions at POE were; 
*Double check his address on the packet to make sure it was correct in order to avoid mailing issues
* What kind of food he has (because he checked 'yes' for food items on the declaration form)
*What state he is going to
* To say his home address in Missouri
 
That was all. He went on to board a connecting flight to STL in Missouri. My Naija folks, all my goodies got home to me safely (ground nut, Ijebu garri, elubo, chin chin, Indomie, pepper soup spice, semolina, ogbono etc.) 😊
 
We are now waiting for his social security card to arrive in the mail so we can go for his driver's license application/test. We are not sure how quickly the green card will arrive but I will be sure to update when it does. Good luck to everyone on this journey and those who have been approved.

My husband visa was approved just now!!! Beyond excited.  Interview only lasted about 3 minutes.
Questions asked:
How old are we
Whats my daughter name
How many times have i traveled
Where do i stay when i visit him

Today my case status changed to IN-Transit

Hi guys,
I had my interview the 11th of July and was approved.
The 13th of July the statut in my CEAC account changed to "issued", do you know how long does it take after that to receive the visa?

Just came from US Embassy Manila ........
Our IR1 and IR2 Visa was APPROVED....thanks God for your guidance 

When you started your process doesn't count. What counts is when your case was completed at the NVC. 
 
The NVC has scheduled more than half of August for Lagos Consulate but I'm hopeful I will get a Late August/Early Sept date.
 
Impatiently waiting for a CC.

Try to go visit your husband again at least one more time for 2- 4weeks before his visa interview in Lagos so as to avoid your case been sent back to the U.S. for possible revocation.

We founded that our reaffirmed case is now with the NVC for process through the congressman .

I just received my interview date *woohoo* I am so glad this is about to be over and I can move!
PD date was June 1 of 2017,
CC at NVC was June 27th 2018
interview scheduled for august 8th 2018

Ok never mind I contacted NVC and they gave me a response. So for anyone with this same question, the answer is put zero on number 3 if you count your spouse in number 1 as the person you're sponsoring. 

3 MONTHS???  My CC was on May10th, at the end of May, I got notification of interview dated July 3rd. What's your friend's CC date?

My kids and i were approved today. what a relief. Just three questions for me. *How long has your husband been in the U.S *How many kids do you have and if I've done the CRBA for my three weeks old baby. That was it. After alot of typing, He said your Visas have been approved while handing over some white sheets of paper with instructions of how to get our passport. Thanks everyone here for their questions and answers. It helped me a great deal.
