All April N-400 filers, I learned from @PilsenC in the March filers thread that you can get text message updates about your case by singing up online.
 
The catch is, you need to sign up on both USCIS websites: https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ (the "new" site) and https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do (the "old" site)
 
So make 2 accounts, 1 at each website, then you can update the notifications for either text and/or email there. You can change it on the "old" site, example here:
 

I’m aware of someone who tried and it was rejected - this despite the instructions saying a certified copy is acceptable. 
 
 

Must be the original per requirement by DOS.

Wanted to update this in case it helps others:
1. I got a tablet with a stylus for writing. Parents had pen paper by default. Writing with a thick stylus end is difficult so I would suggest asking for pen paper if not comfortable with that. 
2 & 3. the writing vocabulary was from the booklet. The sentence was fairly easy for us. My parents were very worried about spelling and capitalization errors etc. but they both passed first sentence. 
 
 

1. They had an iPad and a pen to write on the iPad screen. You can ask for a pen and paper max. they can say is no. 
2. They asked me to read "What do we pay to the government?" and to write "We pay taxes."
3. I believe they do but I am not 100% sure. 

Update on my interview: 
 
Interview was from 7:45am to 8:10am. Officer started with Civic Test asked:
- What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
- What is the economic system in the United States?
- What do we call the first ten amendments to the Constitution?
- When do we celebrate Independence Day?
- What is one reason colonists came to America?
- What is the capital of your state?
 
Then asked me to read a sentence on an iPad "What do we pay to the government?". Asked me to write on an iPad "We pay taxes."
Then after he verified information on my N-400 Application and then asked the Page 12 yes and no questions. The only extra question he asked was "What does the Oath of Allegiance mean?"
Then he Congratulated me that I've passed the interview and told me I should be receiving a letter in the mail within one to two weeks with my Oath Ceremony date and location. 
 
My online case states this now:
August 12, 2021 We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.
August 12, 2021 Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

Hi everyone,    Just thought I would share my time frame with everyone. My online Estimated time until case decision kept showing 12 - 13months. I would check every week for updates. So far this is how my case is:   March 25, 2021 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and sent you a receipt notice.  March 25, 2021 Got a notice to inform me that USCIS was able to reuse my previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. June 23, 2021 Interview Was Scheduled (Interview is Aug 12)

It is fraud to enter the US on a tourist visa with intent to stay and adjust status.  Don't do this.
 
File I-130 for your parents.  They can do short visits to the US during the process but they must return to their country after every visit.
 

Yes, I received my letter of approval on the 17th of Aug as well. My status said a couple days ago Green Card is on the way and now it changed to case was approved.
Than you. I am not sure I usually have my interviews in Oklahoma City but I always mail my forms to the Kansas location.
