I've had a home in California ready for my husband for many months, our I-130 was just approved a month ago after a 7-month wait, so we still have at least 5 more months to go through NVC and interview... it sucks being apart for so long but that's the process of US immigration with the big backlog of cases and the shortage of staff to review all the files and documents.  I empathize with you for sure...  hang in there and keep up the positive attitude or this process will drive you crazy.  I go and see my husband in Brazil about every two months to help reduce the pain, the heartache, the frustration of waiting for the slow wheels of bureaucracy to turn.  Our next time to see each other will be a ten-day trip to London in Paris for Easter, it's very exciting but at the same time the happy reunions and sad goodbyes make it bittersweet.  We're all here to listen if you want to vent.  Good luck as you wait for this final stage of your journey to come to an end!

40 years ago???? Absolutely ridiculous! I am so sorry! This process is so horrific and the time, money and energy you’ve already spent! Was the victim injured? 40 years ago no other record? 🤦🏼‍♀️ smh

It took about a week for ours , we sent everything they asked for and then 11 weeks to approve after that...I have read some people are approved more quickly.sigh

So my husband received a letter  this morning which I did posted here Wednesday or Thursday.
 
its about a he G28 when I email from Potomac last month and they replied back last week Wednesday or Thursday.
 
 
ITS NOT A RFE
 
ITS OUTSIDE OF NORMAL PROCESS.
 
 
I believe this is the last one they will ask to send anything again and I am praying we don't hav to wait any longer all over again.
 
 
Hopefully we get approved soon.

I have a friend who is a politician in CA thinking of contacting him to see what he knows if anything about this whole immigration process sigh....

I'm respecting the member's privacy but yeah they did write that ''finally approved, after 160 days'' I laughed, I cried. 
 
I think we should all camp outside USCIS Nebraska. I'll bring some tequila and we can start a fire, tell stories. Have S'mores

They received my case theee weeks later and I received an email sent to me and our attorney. We are waiting for the I-212 still and sent the fees in and going to continue the process as we filed both at the same time and should hear anyday now... praying for another approval and things keep moving!!! It's so difficult! Hang in there applerose!!! Hope all is well!

We were approved at 9 1/2 months and I did do an inquiry and it didn't hurt us in fact I received a text after our approval about our inquiry saying that it was still being processed lol then I received the approval letter in the mail a few days later....the process is brutal and really unfair to families. They are so behind and so outdated....

My I-130 was APPROVED!!!! 6:00 am received a text!!!teo and a half months after they received our RFE!!! now waiting for I-212 approval! Keep the faith everyone! I am and this process is downright brutal!!!! Praying for all of us!

hmm long shot ?  try going to post office and see if they can find out anything about it ? maybe lost in their stack of mails or ... idk?? 
i feel sorry for you that you have to go through this praying that this mess gets cleaned up soon and you can move forward to NVC stage

We had the same situation -- my husband had not filed his 2016 taxes since he was not sure how to claim me, and we had to do them in a hurry to file our I-864. We did significant research, and here is what we did:
 
- Completed his 2016 taxes as normal (we chose "Married Filing Jointly", but I believe you can also choose "Married Filing Separately")
- In the box for "spouse's SSN", we wrote "Form W-7 Attached"
- We completed Form W-7 -- note that there are very specific identification requirements for this form, which are outlined here: https://www.irs.gov/instructions/iw7/ch01.html
- We submitted Form W-7 and the taxes together, with the W-7 on top
- To do this, we were required to mail the package to ITIN Operations rather than my husband's usual IRS service center -- here is the address: Internal Revenue Service

There are over 126 million women living in the US. Maybe figure out what it is you're looking for in a woman and what you want out of a relationship and find a woman in the US that you can actually date and live with before marriage, as it seems you have quite different expectations of the relationship compared to your previous Russian brides. 

I think that no matter what happens, we should ALL write to our senators and let them know how long Nebraska takes and how unfair the whole process is. I see no reason why this could not be made more efficient. If their application assignment process were more evenly distributed from the very beginning I feel like that would already be a tremendous improvement. If Potomac and whoever else are only a few months behind while Nebraska is 7-9, send 2 out of every 3 applications you receive directly to the other processing centers! It seems so obvious and so easy to fix.
 
The squeaky wheels get the grease! And write to both your senators, I see no reason why this shouldn't have bipartisan support. If Repubs want to clean up immigration and want people to do it the legal way, they need to commit to improving the process. And I'm sure Dems would not want people to be stuck in limbo this long.
 
Best of luck to everyone, I'm on day 122 and going for my third visit to my husband this year. Thank god for frequent flyer miles. I am grateful I have a job that allows me to be gone so much and my heart breaks for those of you stuck apart until this process is over. But we will all make it through. And our relationships should be all the stronger for it!

We sent certified copies the first time and they said they didn't receive them and so we resent them. I'm in Oregon. It's so upsetting we are at 56 days and no Word from them!
