My husband only received the interview appointment letter.
Is crazy how fast June cases are moving! We were expecting to have to wait at least 6 months for the interview appointment.

Btw, do I need to go with him to the interview? We filed under the 3 year marriage. The interview letter didn’t say anything about bringing the spouse.

We did the 3 year marriage too. I don’t think you have to go, but I need to figure out if I’m still allowed to go if my wife prefers me to be there with her..

  2. Wow this is nuts!  We just filed N-400 in June 2022 and my wife apparently has an interview October 3rd in the Phoenix office. Super fast and what a surprise!  For anyone that also got the notice, did any of you get a booklet of interview questions to study or anything else other than the noa?  We heard we were supposed to get a packet mailed to us as well but didn’t receive anything..  Thank you!

  3. Yeah it sounds like it wasn’t front-loaded enough, and there may be something wrong with the divorce decree?  Maybe she already had the certified stamped copy with her at the interview.. maybe it’s something else I don’t know. There are also some documents you should bring that are vietnam specific and good quality documents to front load (or back-load in this case), such as family trees from both sides or signed/notarized affidavits from close family members. Better to have them than not although they may never be looked at… or maybe they were we will never know..  I would definitely make pdf copies of anything you’ve had notarized and immediately mail the original documents to Your fiance. I found a lot of vietnam specific information just searching this website, TONS.  I remember after I submitted our i129f I started digging deep into this website and realized what I submitted was not up to par, although it could have passed a rapid visa audit, it wasn’t country specific. I must say it sucked that we got an rfe (8months later), but it was also a golden opportunity to send the one piece of paper the rfe required, along with additional paperwork as thick as the original i129f so that it could be side-loaded and scanned into the computer before the interview. Being there also helps but that’s not your fault in these times..  never had a problem with scheduling the interview jeez they are almost as long as our noa2 wait. I guess some areas of the process slow down while others speed up..  I remember spending lots of nights and weekends researching and preparing documents that may never be looked at, but looking back I’m glad I did.  Make sure to create another cover letter, maybe write another letter explaining your relationship and updated letters of intent, anything you can add of value will help, even if it seems repetitive. Good luck to you both.

  4. Hello,

I'm filling out the i134 and the Vietnam consulate paperwork says they need my most recent tax transcript. I make enough on my tax transcript to qualify fine, even though I only worked 9 months last year because I was abroad the first quarter of the year. My annual income is higher than what my tax transcript shows and I have pay stubs to prove it. Do I put what I made last year on my i134 or do I put what I currently make?  The consulate paperwork doesn’t show anything about wanting paystubs etc so I am confused. Also some people say last 3 years tax transcripts are needed for Vietnam but I don’t see in the consulate paperwork that that is needed either...  What have others brought to the interview in Vietnam?

    thanks in advance!

May I know what your RFE is all about. If you dont mind.

It was a Request for "initial" evidence about a minor citation I got 17 years ago.  So I just honestly listed it because it asked, but nowhere in the petition paperwork did I see that I had to provide proof unless I misread, so now I'm going downtown to get proof tomorrow, if the record still exists..

  6. Hey all,

I got RFE in the mail today.  The RFE came with a little tiny envelope to put my response in and mail it back to them.  I have more evidence now though too, a lot...  I mean it's been almost 8 months waiting on noa2 now so I got more pictures and tickets from trips we took together after filing i-129f and I've learned a lot on this forum and elsewhere about the specifics of the country my fiancee is from and that I may want to have as much quality evidence as possible for the CO to see before our interview.  I was also thinking of adding an updated timeline and letter from my mom, ring receipt, gift receipts, maybe more chat messages...

I saw a few others "side-loaded" their k1 petitions on RFE and I wanted to see if anyone else has done this?  Did you just put it all in a bigger envelope?  Will USCIS take one look at my huge RFE response package and put it on a shelf until day 59?

I'm guessing the rest of my file is kosher because I only got RFE for one thing.  There are some other things I can see though that I could address as well to avoid a second RFE, but wouldn't they have already approved the rest of my file?

    Looking forward to your responses!

    Gracias

My case USCIS said "Your case is currently being adjudicated." and wait 45 days bla, bla ,bla.

Ok, I get that, but W T F it takes 45 days to make a decision? It's a good thing they get paid by the hour, because if it was by the job they would all be dirt poor.

I don’t know what is better,... a 45 day timeframe, no timeframe at all, or waiting on background checks...

Too me that basically says your still in received status.

I finally got an update on my inquiry in email last night...

Thank you for your inquiry.  We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application or petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload.  We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources.

Has as anybody ever gotten this response?  No 30-45 days or waiting on background checks or anything...  really no valuable info at all about my case.

All information from scans come from this link I post with all scans. Any person on their own can go to this link and get the same results. The only difference is I scan all of July cases, go through it, organize it  and post it.

Please check for personal status online in the uscis website case tracking system if you fall on one of these dates by going here.  >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Did you have to manually enter all the July cases first to scan them?
