SkruDe reacted to TriloByte in January 2017 I-129F Filers
Our visa was approved 15 minutes ago.
This is the happiest moment I have ever experienced in my entire life.
For those that still are waiting, stay strong. There is no greater thing in life than to share each moment with the one you love.

I had my interview today and I'm APPROVED.
I'm so happy. I started to cry when she told me everything looks fine and that I'm approved. She smiled and everyone was just so nice. I was so afraid because of my previous denied student visa and I thought they will bring it up, but she didn't mentioned it once. She just asked basic questions and she didn't even want to see my evidence that I brought. I was like 'Um .. don't you want to see some nice pictures of us in Paris?' She smiled and said she doesn't need to see anything but thanked me for preparing so much.
THANKS TO EVERYONE! You guys helped me, made me stay calm, made me sleep when I was all freaked out again about something .. Thank you for answering all my questions no matter how stupid they were. Thank you. ❤️

APPROVED!!! I was at the embassy for less than an hour. I was interviewed by a female consul (probs in her late twenties) who was very cool, conversational, and funny. She talked really fast, so the interview was over in less than 5 minutes. I was 2nd to be interviewed but first to walk outta there feeling like a champ.
Words cannot express how happy I am right now. I am so glad I can finally relax!
Thanks to everyone who helped me throughout this excruciatingly long and incredibly stressful process. I appreciate every single one of you and I wish you all the best!
I shall write a detailed "review" later. Need to catch some z's first because I stayed up all night worrying. Haha! xD

It hasn't been very long yet, and just so you know, it won't affect the final result or anything. The Embassy will fix this if the NVC doesn't fix it. The Embassy receives the actual packet and reviews these things. The worst that can happen is you don't get your case number from NVC, instead you get it from the Embassy. So don't stress out. Like I said, it hasn't been very long and the NVC is swamped this time of year, they got the information your sent, it will be fixed by them or Embassy. The "When" is out of your control, but it will happen. Its literally only been a few days, so stay calm.

My guess was Tuesday, which would be today, by end of day.
Could be issues with you take photographs instead of scans though. Did you thoroughly explain the situation on your email with WAC number and the issue and describe what each attachment was for? So whoever got the email knows what to do with it?

Just flew back into town last night from attending my fiance's interview in Colombia..... she was approved!!!!!!!!
We started this journey, starting to fill out the I-129F, 8 months ago. It's been quite a process, adventure, and journey. Filled with ups and downs. A process that has tested us, and has proved to each other our commitment and devotion. All that dedication, that waiting, that stress, all of that separation, that heartbreak, all of that became worth it July 5th at about 9:45am.
I just want to give a special thanks to all the January filers I've shared this journey with. The only people in the world who truly understands what I am going thru is you guys. Thank you everyone and I wish everyone good luck as well!!!

My status just updated to "Issued"
I don't know what to do now though.... It's not being delivered to an address. It's being delivered to a DHL location in Bogota they had us choose from on a list. Is their a status update after Issued called Delivered or something???

What would be interesting to see is average amount of touched cases per day of the week.
While I was waiting for my NOA2 I had an observation that I kept to myself because I wasn't confident it was correct. That observation was that Monday and Tuesday were RFE concentrated days and Wednesday thru Friday were new Approval concentrated days.
I might still be wrong. But if anyone has any free time on their hands. Maybe do a break down of the last 30 days and filter it per day of the week. How many Approvals vs RFE's per day of the week?
My gut feeling tells me starting today thru Friday productivity will pick up.
And I can't wait for @RJandHamid to get approval after their ridiculously long wait. Lots late January and now even February filers with frustration but damn, RJ is still a December filer waiting. So I hope it comes soon RJ!

SkruDe reacted to charmander in Does anyone know if CBP/Immigration is 24 hours at airports?
CBP preclearance is only available in Dublin and Shannon in Europe. CBP is pushing for expansions, Stockholm is next in line (expected to operate in 2019).

SkruDe reacted to mallafri76 in Does anyone know if CBP/Immigration is 24 hours at airports?
CBP work during hours when international flights are scheduled to land. Hence, if the first international flight land at 10 am, CBP is there to start processing at 10 am. If the first international flight of the day is early, then yeah, you're probably gonna have to wait for CBP. The same if there are a congestion of international flights due to some being late and some early, due to fire safety, some fligts may have to wait before letting their passengers off and into the international arrival hall.

SkruDe reacted to Boiler in Does anyone know if CBP/Immigration is 24 hours at airports?
Denver is not 24/7, does not have International flights arriving at all hours.
But they are open when International flights are due to arrive, perhaps there could be a delay if the first flight got in early.

Yep, I went thru this. What happened was the USCIS officer inputted the wrong birth data into the system. The NVC does not have the hard copy petitions in front of them. All those are stored at an offsite facility. All they have is a computer infront of them with data and info of your petition. So you can tell them you are right and look at the petition, but they don't have the petition. All they have is the USCIS officer's error in the computer screen in front of them.
Anyways, when this happened to me I called the NVC, asked for my status. The guy on the phone asked the basic questions, name and birthday, and WAC number. Well, obviously, Birthday was wrong so he could not tell me any info. So he put me thru the process of sending an email to the NVC with birth certificate, passport, just like you.

The goods is they can fix this problem before it gets sent to the Embassy. Here's where I explain everything: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/621813-january-2017-i-129f-filers/?do=findComment&comment=8605130
The Problem sprouted Friday May 12th. I sent all required info that day. Problem solved Tuesday May 16th.
Hope that helps!

Are you saying you took a picture of the birth certificate and passport bio page?
I scanned mine and sent it. So I'm not sure if they will accept a picture of it or not.

I would wait till Tuesday July 11th before calling again.
In my case the beneficiary date of birth was wrong so they asked me to send the beneficiary birth certificate and passport bio page. I also added a translation of the birth certificate just to be safe, though it wasn't specifically asked for. The subject heading of the email I was told to make my as my WAC receipt number.
You don't have to keep sending them emails, as long as it doesn't get bounced back to you (like my first one did) then you are fine.
They never send an email back. I waited for one and never got it. I found out by calling again the next week.
