The long journey is over. Since yesterday, I am an American citizen, thank God
How soon after your interview did you get the date for your interview?

We had our N-400 interview on 01/11/2021 and it turned out to be combo interview. After the interview, our case was approved and status for N-400 is in line for oath ceremony. However, today we received interview notice for I-751 with issue date of 01/08/2021. Any advice on what is going on and what we should do?
Have you gotten your Oath date yet?

Hello and thank you 😊. I took with me the last 3 years tax transcripts, daughter’s birth certificate and few other documents showing our current address . Ironically the case officer did not ask for any documents, however when I mentioned the documents I had on me and if it was needed, the case officer opted for our tax transcripts and our daughter’s birth certificate .
Have you been given a date for your Oath yet?

Congrats 🎉🥳👏🏾 @Chicago1987 I go on Monday and I haven’t looked at the questions yet. Did she ask and is it multiple choice?
How did your interview go?

They were not multiple choice. Verbally asked the question and I had to respond.

Thank you
My case was just updated with two status changes - 1. that I was recommended for approval, pending a review. And then immediately it went to 2. In line for Oath Ceremony. Just wanted to let you know that they seem to have quickly processed everything.

Congratulation Can you share what documents and questions they asked you for ?
I have my interview next week at Chicago office as well
I brought what they asked for in the letter and then support to show I'm still married. She didn't ask to see anything.
As to the questions - they really seem to be random. The testing was on an iPad and the iPad randomly generated questions and it stopped after 6 questions since I got them right. A few I remember offhand: What did Susan B Anthony do? When must men register for Selective Service? How old do citizens need to be to vote?

Had my interview today at the Chicago office. I received preliminary approval from the office - she told me that she needed a supervisor review of my case as they had a recent change where all criminal cases need approval - including traffic tickets. I disclosed two traffic tickets on my application. But she stated it is not a disqualifying case and it'll go through. I cannot wait for the status to change online!

Hey guys, does the letter say what to bring at the interview? mine only says bring my wife naturalization and divorce decree if any.
On mine it said to bring: copy of letter, green card, evidence of Selective Service registration, passport used in connection with entry into US, marriage certificate, divorce decree (if applicable), US spouse's birthday certificate and any other documents submitted with the original application.

Yeah its sure is loooong journey. Filed application late January. Biometrics in February since then nothing.
Same boat here. Can't wait to start seeing new interviews scheduled - versus only re-scheduled interviews.

Hello everyone,
Here are the facts on my case.
- Applying for Naturalization.
- I've been a LPR since April 2011.
- I was living in the US from age 15 to 26 but was already 27 years old when I became LPR.
- I did not register for the Selective Service because I was unaware of such requirement.
- I am 34 years old.
My questions are:
-
On the online application there is a question that reads "Why did you not register with the Selective Service?"
Should I provide a short sentence like "I was unaware of such requirement"? or should I be more detailed ? Are they expecting an essay type of response or a two liner is okay?
-
Under the Evidence > Additional evidence section of the online application it reads:
When I go to the Selective service website I get a contradictory statement.
From https://www.sss.gov/Registration/Immigrants-and-Dual-Nationals
Should I attach on the online application the PDF file the statement above points to?
https://www.sss.gov/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=0Ky-rgZai_Y%3d&portalid=0
Should I also attach a PDF version of my answer to question 1 of this post?
Thank you for help.
Can I ask what you did? And also what the status of your naturalization process is? Thank you!

Did you receive a case status update on the myUSCIS website? We have a letter arriving today, but never received an update on the site.

Considering how much this administration discriminate & look down upon immigrants especially non white immigrants, and their plans to limit legal immigration , i can’t help wondering whether the non white immigrant applications are the ones that are getting radio silence from USCIS
just a thought
My husband and I are both white and there is dead silence on his application (LIN).

Same thing happened to my Dad’s Adjustment of Status interview. Status was saying that his interview was cancelled 1 week before his scheduled interview. We still went to the interview today, seems like online cancellation was just a trick or system glitch. Even officers doesn’t even know the cancellation when we checked in.
I’m so happy we went in, I acted as my Dad’s petitioner and translator. He got approved today to be a legal permanent resident. Yay! After months of waiting and loads of paperwork! So please dont just rely on what you see online, still go to your scheduled interview, you’ll never know! He would have been denied by his absence if we never went!
Questions are as follows:
What made you decide to apply for Adjustment of Status?
Did you overstay?
Where are the rest of the family?
Ever been arrested?
The officer was really nice and was even joking all throughout the interview.
Honesty and smile is the key! 😍

Did your father overstay? I am just curious as a family friend was just telling me they are doing an adjustment of status for their daughter who overstayed - but she is required to go back to her home country. It isn't being forgiven as it has in the past apparently in her case. So was just curious. Thanks!

Hi guys, I just received the I-797 NOA letter extending the green card for 18 months from the Nebraska Service Center (LIN)
Looks like Nebraska is getting to these quickly. I also got my letter (LIN) very quickly after submitting - pretty much the same timing as you. Hopefully the rest of the process goes just as fast

I’m wondering – on your case status online on the USCIS website a lot of you have the message that says “we received your case and you don’t need to do anything at this time.” Has any of you that has this message received your NOA or biometric yet? My case status says “we received your case and sent you the receipt notice” but I haven’t received anything, does anyone else have this message too and hasn’t received their notice? I’m wondering if this message even makes a difference. 🤔😩
Yes, I received mine. They stated they received the case the 5th (delivered the 1st). I received the receipt notice in the mail on the 9th.

My GC expires literally in two days! I need to travel in March too... No biometric no NoA, cannot file an e-request. It doesn’t allow me to make an appointment online... So frustrating... Not sure what’s wrong with them. Some people got their NoA so fast, in less than 2 weeks...
Did you not file at the start of your 90 days? Otherwise, you should be able to e-request a copy of your letter.

We interviewed the same day. My status still says "Oath Will Be Scheduled". I believe it should at some point change to "In Line for Oath Ceremony" and then "Oath Scheduled". So until it gets to there, doubtful of any letter.
