We had a similar problem and we were able to fix it later at the embassy stage. Just make sure the information you submit on the DS160 is accurate and should it come up during the interview simply tell the truth and explain the mix up...mistakes happen.
Did you just send the embassy an email of the passport or birth certificate?

The NVC for my fiance's DOB wrong and they already sent it yesterday to the Embassy! When my fiance goes for his interview will they think we are trying to commit fraud or something because of this smh. It was literally correct on the NOA1 and NOA2. Idk how they fat fingered it at this stage smh. I'm upset

It's your current annual income, as demonstrated by employer letter and pay stubs, that matters.
Awesome thank you!

When you file for the AOS and you send in your tax return if you have a lot of dedications that take you under the poverty guidelines is that a problem ? I made way over the guidlines but the deductions take it low Would they require a sponsor ?

I know couples from Ghana who only met once but still were approved. But definitely take your time do what you feel is right. Every case is different at the end of the day if its real and you can prove you have a real genuine relationship then 1 2 3 or 4 visits later its up to and how you feel about your relationship.

My fiancee went for his visa on January 4 2017 and was denied due to 221g, and was told that the petition would be sent back to the us, later we received an update that the petition is still with the embassy and the status changed to administrative processing. Has anyone had similar experiences? is it even possible to get a visa after 221g denial?
Did they tell him why he was denied ? what questions did they ask him? and what evidence did you guys submit?

When i went to visit my fiance in Ghana the past few times i always just went to GOOGLE.COM and typed in OMA to ACC. It gives you a list of all of the flights from all airlines times and prices and you can even compare dates and prices. I was looking up prices from ACC to OMA a few days ago and i noticed a one way is cheaper depending on when He or she is coming the highest i seen the price was 800-1005. Goodluck

Hey, you should ideally have lots of supporting evidence to prove that you're capable of financially supporting the beneficiary.
All of these things -- tax returns, bank statements, w2 forms, employment letters -- are all essential (although technically not required). The requirement is to "prove" to the Consulate that you're financially sound enough to support the beneficiary. These documents definitely help.
So, you should weigh your own case. Do you feel you're at the borderline of the I-864p criteria? or are you comfortably over?
Depending on your answer, I would say you can adjust the quantity of documents you need to bring.
Comfortable way over! Thank you so much for your repsonse

I know that a lot of people are still waiting on a NOA2 or waiting for an interview. I just want to say to those still waiting to keep praying and continue to be patient God is so good and he does answer prayers. I honestly think that every one in this group is seriously amazing and special in many different ways. I have gotten so many questions answered and not one person was rude even though some people ask the same questions everyday. I honestly feel that everyone in this group will soon be with their loved one and will be able to spend forever together! praying for everyone! I encourage each and every one of you to stay strong. This is only the beginning

My fiance received packet 3, it was basically instructions nothing case specific. I've listed how we proceeded below:
1. Completed the DS160
2. Remitted the visa fee at GT Bank
3. Scheduled his interview on the Travel Docs website http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ (you can schedule interview 1-2 hours after visa fee has been paid)
4. Went for medical @ Holy Trinity (results were ready in a week)
5. Did police clearance @ CID Police Headqaurters in OSU (results were ready in 2 weeks)
Hope this helps!
Yes! that helps so much thank you!

I know that alot of people say they never got a packet of instructions from the Ghana embassy some have. I am wondering if we do not receive the packet do we just show up to one of the medical facilities and request and exam or do we have to show some sort of proof showing we are doing it for a visa interview ? Also were do you go and get your police report in Accra ? Thank you for your answers i am just trying to figure this all out
I forgot to add if you dont receive any packet instructions what website do you go to, to schedule your visa interview ?

You have 6 months and then once you arrive you have 90 days to get married.

It's valid for six months from the date of the medical or the date of approval, whichever happened first (for most people it's the medical).
I'm talking about once the beneficiary receives their visa stamp in the passport how long do they have until that expires? And does the 90 days start once thats issued or when they enter the USA ?
